What are some semi-budget friendly, quality juices that resemble(I'm just going to name sweets he likes):

Banana Twinkies
Raspberry Zingers
German Chocolate Cake
Lemon/Lemon Meraingue(sp)
Snickerdoodle cookies
Cobblers
I would suggest you begin to turn the initiative over to him. Sit down with him and show him the websites, so he can review the offerings himself. Vapor E Cig Juice | Electronic Cigarette Nicotine Juice would be a good place.

Now I can't remember, or find, who said what. With the istick 50, can't those be returned to the vendor they were bought from and get them replaced with the "fixed" version? It was Janet's that decided to auto fire like a Russian supply capsule, correct? Return it to the vendor for a good one.

Been there done that, no fun. Hope they figure it out soon. I know it's frustrating but hang in there.

Vapor Tek is exchanging Janet's - no problem. I got mine from a non-ECF group buy. The host is trying to get a replacement for mine.

LOL....that's the first place I clicked....Checkout does no more than hitting refresh.....will not let me continue to actually checkout. Searching through their "help" link in hopes of finding a way to finish checking out brought me to "tickets" which I can't use without an order number...
I'm nocturnal  so.....if I'm awake in daylight hours tomorrow, and IF I haven't ordered elsewhere by then in my frustration, I may try calling again

Do you have any add-ons in your web browser that might be stopping it? I use NoScript on FireFox, and it will sometimes block carts until I tell it to allow xxx to run scripts...

Youngin' here checkin' in with the porch folk. Pops said he only had 4 cigs today(camel light menthols) which is huuuuuuuuge. Last year I helped him on a job in Hot Springs, AR, about an hour and some change

take a peek and see if you could recommend something off of the list. Thanks porch-fam. :)

Seems like a lot of possibilities there. Can you take him back and get him to try some? (I don't use any of those brands, either...) As mentioned, Mt. Baker is a good starting place. Their tobacco flavors will need some time to steep, but most of their other flavors are fine on delivery.

And hey, "Youngin' ", you're older today than you were yesterday (if not, PLEASE let us know how you did that! ;) ), so you're welcome on both our porches any time!

Glad you got it worked out.
I had an issue with ordering from one vendor, they required me to select my state from a dropdown, but my state was not in the dropdown. I ordered from someone else. How could they loose an entire state?

Got one of those coil jigs to try them out.
Its very good , one thing it helps with is being able to use less wire.
Normally have to cut off a long amount to be manageable to grip and wrap around a tool.
With this one I cut about half or so the normal amount of wire from the spool and wrapped the coils.

I got one bottle of flavoring that was sickeningly perfumy and nothing got rid of it so I finally got rid of the bottle. All 4 ounces of it.
You should have baked something withit......

Regular cotton tasted just like a wet t-shirt to me. KGD was fantastic but a porcher sent me some rayon and I think I liked that a bit better.
Tried rayon a couple months ago. Haven't looked back.
This is a good thread if you want to dive into rayon. He's got some nice videos showing how to wick. They are also a bunch of very helpful guys.

I've stuck with TFA flavors not only because I've had good luck with them but because they've also been tested. As far as I can tell, flavoring is the weak link in vaping right now in that we really don't know what they will do long term. I have no problem with you or anyone else chooses to use as long as it doesn't have oil in. I am NOT saying TFA is better than any other flavoring, it's just what has worked for me and though I'm not 100% comfortable with it, like any flavoring, it's what I've chosen to try first with any mix I make.

I also appreciate the efforts of TFA to acquire and publish as much information as they can on the ingredients of their flavors. That's part of why I'm drifting toward a plan to use only TFA flavors.

My main reasons, though, are:
The OCD part of me wants to use just one brand of flavorings.
I like TFA flavors.
TFA flavors are very economical when purchased in 4-oz bottles.

I read the first few posts of the 680-page thread, enough to convince me to give rayon a try.

Where do people get rayon? Sally's Beauty Supply, I think I've heard? I've only seen links a hundred times or so but until now, had no motivation.

Yeah, Sally's. However, the smallest package is about three lifetimes' supply. I am sure someone around here would be willing to send you some. I only have a year's supply.

To me rayon is just so much cleaner tasting than cotton. I always got some kind of an aftertaste from cotton.
Once you get the wicking part figured out, you'll never look back.
Rayon you want to be tucked into the coil as snug as possible (unlike cotton) because it does not expand when it gets wet.
Yes. Sally's is where most people get their rayon

what's up with ecf? keep getting a lot of 404 errors.....and images aren't showing here right now.....:(
Pages are slow to refresh, too, but way above my abilities to know why. From past experience I'll bet the problems are fixed fairly forthwithly.

Youngin' here checkin' in with the porch folk. Pops said he only had 4 cigs today(camel light menthols) which is huuuuuuuuge. Last year I helped him on a job in Hot Springs, AR, about an hour and some change from here (currently living at home with the fam), and I will never forget that drive. We did a shutter/window blind install job that took maybe two hours, it was kind of stressful due to measurements being off but it was a totally normal work day. I help him when there are super heavy shutters to carry or ladders being involved, etc.

Anyways, from the time we got in the truck in their driveway until the time we pulled into ours, he smoked 8-9 cigarettes. I had one. This was like I said an hour and a half drive or so, like a short movie. I've been crazy worried since then, I found that, well, sort of ridiculous.

He's doing awesome all things considered, but feel he could truly get off the cancer sticks for good if he could try some flavors that actually don't mimic his cigarettes. He LOVES sweets. Cookies, pastries, sugary carbs. Without posting another 800 word essay as to why, from my phone, I ask you simply:

What are some semi-budget friendly, quality juices that resemble(I'm just going to name sweets he likes):

Banana Twinkies

You get the idea, if you could shoot me some suggestions I would really appreciate it. I would post a link to the vape B&M's juice menu but if I leave this page I fear I will lose this post's progress. I will edit with a link to that juice menu and maybe some of you kind folk can take a peek and see if you could recommend something off of the list. Thanks porch-fam. :)

Vape Wild sample packs are a good deal. They have a wide selection of flavors and they're cheap. Orders $25 & up ship free. Some require time to steep.

That good, and if I missed that part earlier, my apologies.

Everybody, FT now sells glow in the dark silicone sleeves for the iStick 20s & 50s. I suppose the 30s will be coming soon. Link to the sky blue 20 $1.42 Glowing Protective Silicone Sleeve for Eleaf iStick 20W VV/VW Mod - sky blue at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Excellent news! Guess persistence does pay off. Don't tell Iffy how many flavors you got or he'll likely tell you you got too many.

Glad you got it worked out.

I can see some people wishing to lose a state or two but never thought Kentucky would be one of them, lol.

And have the whole house smell like that stuff? :w00t: No thank you.

My experiment with light flavoring seems to be working with the headache problem. Tomorrow should tell for sure.
That is great! Hope it's gone completely tomorrow.

Hopefully this starts around the 5:55 mark. It's priceless.

I can't find the acronym guide. Anybody got the link? Anyway, what's FC?

In other news, got my Koh Gen Do cotton rectangles today and my first fumble-fingered attempt to make a wick worked perfectly.
just says flavor chaser, don't think that is how it was used here to cause you to ask, but don't remember, it mighta been. Glad you like the KGD now that you have some.
Dangit......probably gonna have to try rayon sometime. Every time I convince myself I don't need to try it cuz I love KGD, rayon fans convince me I should try it lol

I thought she said across the grain but my rememberer might be faulty.
Your rememberer got cornfoozled. I said I cut mine in 1/2 against the grain first, then cut the wick itself with the grain. I can wick two coils with only using a wick from 1/2 a sheet. I'm going to try not separating it next time I rewick and see how I like it.

fixed fairly forthwithly.

ETA: well the above post that has all the words of the post in the linky thing.......actually is the link to the spreadsheet, but I still messed it up somehow, but clicking that will take you to the spreadsheet

I have a similar one and agree it works well. Just need to be sure you don't put pressure on the little piece when turning the wraps so the wire springs outward a wee bit for the next wrap.

My little complaint is on mine the angle of the feed hole on the large tube is designed to wrap clock-wise coils. I like some coils wrapped counter-clockwise and it's a bit awkward using the tool for that.

I also appreciate the efforts of TFA to acquire and publish as much information as they can on the ingredients of their flavors. That's part of why I'm drifting toward a plan to use only TFA flavors.

Delasco Rayon Balls are another option. With the Sally's make sure it's 100% Rayon - they make a cotton version in the same looking box and still call it cellu-cotton.

I think someone said it - but use more than you do with cotton. You should feel some resistance and 'hear' the rayon squeaking when pulling it through the coil. Most people cut of about 1/2 the thickness of the tails sticking out of the coil. This stuff wicks so well you don't need the tails as fat as the piece going through the coil.

Busardo was a noob with using rayon when he made this comparison video. And based his opinion on whether cotton or rayon was better by what 'felt' good to him using. Rayon was still relatively new on the scence and I think he was still unsure if it was as 'safe' as cotton. Well that's surely been put to rest. Interesting to know what he thinks about rayon now.
