Time to drop that delinquent sloth a line and tell him to get his .... in here. On tomorrow's list of things to get done. ;)
jup it sure is!!! and thank you!

Keep an eye out for Deb's frying pan, she can be lethal with that thing but it's usually reserved for the men.
and only when they really step outta line. Anyone been married long as she has understands that I'm sure! :)

Yes, arrangements are made....but im kinda waffling....its sooooo pretty!
pardon me while I giggle (laughing WITH you, of course) Seriously though, if you can afford to hang on to it, and aren't sure about giving it up, do hang on to it. Don't forget about those plunger doors. But I do totally understand if your hands don't allow you to turn it easily, I have more issues squeezing and usually squonk with two thumbs, one over the other, but have no issues slightly turning the mod in my hand, and that is somewhat essential.

Surely one or more of those shops has taste testers? (And if you like a flavor in the shop but not at home, like Deb says, might be time for a new coil or wick. Or at least a clean and dry burn.)

I found both flavor and the right nic level were essential for me.
Plus, testers in the shop have been sitting awhile, so are already steeped. The bottle you buy is fresh, & unsteeped.

Hi Back Porch vapers. Glad to meet you. I see there was a 70 year wedding anniversary, WOW!!! Our 35th is in a few weeks, so we are half way there. At our age I'm not so sure we will see 70, but we will keep on truckin'!
Happy Anniversary, Isabelle! And, welcome to the Porches!
Thanks for the welcome. I'm new to vaping for about 6 weeks. Using Kanger Evod2. Have been through about 7 different ejuice said and just can't find one that I really like. All of them seem to have a bitter/sour aftertaste. Started out with 7mg nic, recently went to 18 hoping that would keep me from the analogs. 50 year smoker here and 2 pack per day for the last 12 years. I really feel that if I can find an irresistible flavor I will ditch the analogs, but for now, I can honestly say the analogs have no taste. Am sure there are chemicals in me to mask the bad taste though. Found that all of the B&M shops I've been to have pretty young people working there and I wonder if the mixers are paying attention to what they are doing.

At this point I suspect PG is what is giving me a problem and none of my mixes are less than 50 pg/50vg. I think the majority are higher Vg than Pg. just can't buy a new bottle every day!
Sure you can! But, buy them in little sample packs so you're not spending too much. Not all, but a lot of vendors sell sample packs so you can sample a lot of flavors fairly cheaply.

So, just buy a few sample packs from different vendors, steep a week (much longer if a tobacco flavor), then test away!

When I first started vaping, most flavors were, at best, not satisfying and even a bit irritating. The flavor that did it for me was Caramel Macchiato. And, that's not even a flavor that I thought I would like. My brother had bought it, but didn't like it. When I tried it, I was in love!

Eggzackly! And that's why you really can't depend on asking about a "good" flavor. We're all different. Fur instance, some folks love liver, some hate it. Our taste buds are all different. So the problem is yer pretty much on your own trying to discover that "perfect" vape.

That was before my tri-focals.... which are now essential to building coils

I got a super bright LED articulated desk lamp. That helps a lot. I never heard of tri-focals. Does that mean you have an extra high power section on the lens? I might have to pick some of those up.

G'morning all, I have a super-bright LED also, but I am to the point of 3.0 readers. I also have a jewel12ish.

Anyone have a Goliath V2? I know there is a thread for it, but that didn't give much. Just wondering if it is usable by an old guy.

If you're now wearing glasses, you may get there!

Bi-focals, which provide correction for near and far. Tri adds a middle distance correction.

So one can see clearly, for example, the map on the steering wheel, the dash gauges, and the road, without a lot of up and down neck action :)

Yes, good lighting is essential to rebuilding. How else can you get that bit of kanthal out of your foot? And lighted magnifiers are even better...

Does anyone else feel like they reached the end of their vaping journey? I spent a year spending money and collecting stuff and hours comparing all the new gear online. Now I'm happy with what I've got. I don't even get a buzz from checking out new hardware on the web. Occasionally think about getting extras of what I already have, and still pick up a few new flavorings once in a while.

Grandson got a dripper last month. I tried it out and it was cool but I didn't feel any urge to get one myself.

It's like computers. Years ago I built my own, with the latest hard drive tech and video cards and all the rest. Now it's just a tool, I buy a regular Dell and I'm happy with it.

Sorry - can't help w/ the Goliath.

Readers ... he, he ... I had to give up on them years ago for prescription lens. Even 3.0 readers didn't help ... just made the blurry picture bigger not crisper.

I do. I just want backups & different colors of what I already have.

I'm near 'where you are'. I've got a nice collections of VV/VW's, mechs, and a couple TC box mods along w/ a decent assortment of RTAs. I'm just watching the evolution of TC mods ... so many coming out lately but I feel no big urge to jump in.

Some of the current toppers w/ replacement heads are pretty decent but still, for me, not the vape quality of a true rebuildable RTA. Now if/when this area of vaping makes a quantum leap I could be in the market to replace our rebuildables. I wouldn't mind paying an extra few $'s/week for the convenience of swapping heads vs: recoiling/rewicking.

I'm happy with my kayfuns, but have thought about a subtank mini.

Uh, sort of? (Of course, not counting the stuff accumulated for any vapocalypse...) Other than the (rare, for me) new type topper, I'm pretty much in a similar boat. Any of my regulated mods and a Kayfun, I'm happy. Although I have started a small collection of box mods to add to all my tubes... but sticking to only replaceable 18650 models for those.

Although "window(s) shopping is still a mild amusement, yeah, not much gets me excited!

Yep, cheaters don't do a thing for astigmatism!

I am slowing down a lot of the keeping up with the latest and greatest. I do really enjoy getting colored glass for my RTAs. AND, I really don't have a need for temp control.

Nice to have an RTA with a bigger (5.0ml) tank than what i have. That is the Goliath snooping reason.

Have you looked at the Taifun's. They have a 5.0 ml capacity. I have a couple V1's and like them and just got a V2 (these one) but haven't tried it out yet.

$20.02 HOTCIG GT-S V2 RTA Rebuildable Tank Atomizer (5.0mL) - stainless steel + matte glass / 23mm diameter at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

(note the picture shows red o-rings but mine came w/ black, don't know why it shows red ones).
