I believe vaping is the one, single, alternative to smoking that lets us retain the hand-to-mouth nicotine delivery thing,

Should'a waved, that's literally just down the road from me. Been listening to them practice (and the AF contingent there as well, JBLM) for 20 some years, and while I hate the reality that we need them, well, it's a reality, no matter what I think about war! So it's music to my ears Means they're getting some of the training and practice that, unfortunately, the world will require of them.

(Besides, I knew they were there when we bought our land, so how could I complain about "noise" and look myself in the face??)

Ill be darned, I use exit 122 I-5 (Berkeley Ave), every Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday night at 10:30PM, and shut down behind the commissary till my 6:30 AM appt, and the other driver takes the alternate days. That base really goes through the food! That is probably one of our best routes and the boss just offered it to me permanent, been thinking about taking them up on it.
Wife and I spent a summer with friends in Yelm,Wa in the early to mid 90's and could hear the base pretty good from there, lots of air traffic around there too. Beautiful area!

You lucky dog! I bet you visit the ecigg express B&M at the Tacoma Mall all the time!

ETA: Cousin used to put them nic patches on his forehead, lol.

That doesn't stop all the folk who move out into the countryside and then start complaining about livestock smells and having to follow slow tractors down the roads.

Frank, I second Dave's (bigbells) suggestion of FA flavors, I use mostly that and inawera. A couple capellas drops, they're all highly concentrated and inexpensive. Some here love vaping zone flavors, and I do intend to try some, they're just quite a bit higher priced, to try. But they last a long time.

oh when I had to take my son to the dentist and we were waiting to be called, I was a mess. The smell of a dentist's office nauseates me. The receptionists/nurses etc knew I had such a hard time sitting in there. He was really good about just playing with the toys they had there or reading, so they told me if you have to go outside, just tell us, we'll keep an eye on him. Several times I'd bolt out the door for fresh air, and at that time to smoke a cig or 10. lol took my sil to the dentist, to have all her teeth pulled........she's one that falls asleep in the dentist chair...... when she was done, she was fine....I was pale and shaking.

so wish you could come in there tutu! Frank, you're welcome to join us anytime. You can be on camera, or turn it off, and just be a disembodied voice lol We're there at times throughout the day, and most evenings starting around 7 or 8 pm central give or take.

I'm a basket case, with reason, around dentist's offices, I'm working on getting over myself about that. I've had more good ones than bad, but man, those bad ones really leave a lasting impression.

I wish I could visit chat too. The headphone/mic gizmo didn't work. Other problems also. Really looking forward to the day when I can get on. No camera so will have to eventually make a "ghost" appearance. Know you all have a blast in the and that gives me a big smile and warm, fuzzy feeling.

I see you've found it, but doesn't hurt to have it posted again. I've done my coils like that ever since I saw the video. LOVE IT!

I can't se that vid on my phone, but if it's a guy speaking Polish that's it. Fantastic little trick. I opened a paperclip & cut it on the long end, twisted it & got myself a tool. Wrapped 2 coils immediately. First one to see if it worked. 2nd one to verify that, yep, it worked!

Thank you for posting that! I hadn't seen/heard of it before. I will be trying that, once I get new glasses, someday. Currently paying less than a buck a coil every couple of weeks doesn't give you much incentive but there will come that day... I hate the save the children bs.

Do not get me started on all the city people that move to the country to get away from it all then try to turn it into a city atmosphere at the peril of the wildlife, natural resources and local citizens. The stupidity of some people is boundless.

I made so much juice at once, that I haven't tried it past that first time. Will try it later today or tomorrow if I can remember and let ya know. But again, my tasteybuds are not very discerning. They never did really kick back in.

That's where my son would go for pre-deployment. I live really close to Fort Hood, so we have the same booms etc. Not so much on the flights, just occasionally, but a lot coming from the firing range with stuff bein blowed up. Rattles windows etc, but it is comforting knowing they can train so well.

There is a setting in the h/o where you can tell it which mic/speaker to use, and sometimes it's automatic, but sometimes you have to tell it, and of course you don't need a camera. But dunno if that would solve the headset/mic issue or not.

Went through the whole patch sequence - 3 times. Couldn't wear them overnight, dreams were just too weird. So I'd slap one on when I got up, then step outside to light up while it slowly absorbed....

Yes, for me, the process is a BIG part!

We're about 10 miles from Yelm, and about the same from JBLM, different direction, of course. And about the same (third direction) from the hydro-electric plant I retired from, so living (and working) in "God's country", but close enough to the "big city".
Tacoma Mall's about another 10, but I've been in their shop a couple times. They just opened there a few months ago, and last time I was in they still weren't stocking diy stuff.

Have you tried adjusting the sound equalizer levels in your sound system? You might be able to adjust it to work better with your hearing aides.

Don't be too eager for him to come home. He's in a place where his condition can be monitored constantly, & prompt action can be taken if anything changes. He's in a good place!

Have you tried adjusting the sound equalizer levels in your sound system? You might be able to adjust it to work better with your hearing aides.

My software doesn't have any adjustment for amplifying/reducing various frequencies.

I agree with Kenna. I know it is hard not having him home, but if something goes wrong they are there to take care of it right away as opposed to you feeling emotional trying to get him back to the vet quickly. I wish you patience and strength, and thank you again for keeping us posted.
