maybe these?
IGO-S Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer (RBA) from YoudeQUOTE]

Thanks Ken ... I'll get some of those too.
Something will fit something :thumb:

These are for the positive post in a female 510 connection like on your mod where the tank connects. I am glad you found them. I could have used one today. This same insulator in the 510 connector on my Evic gave up the ghost and let the positive post slide down and my tanks could not make a connection. I patched it up with a #60 oring. I will order some of these an fix it the correct way. I had never seem them before or heard of anyone else who had either.

You know the hubby was making jokes about me keeping all the odd parts from various coil heads and attys. Then he found out my AGA-T2 post screws fit his Mac laptop harddrive. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Just remember that this means that the laptop hard drive has AGA-T2 post screws!!!

get involved....

........Wish I could find a supplier for the insulator, although I have not looked around for one yet. If anyone has a supplier please LMK. :)

One other thing, I haven't been able to get much past 7 watts with Silica, but with the OC I can vape at 12+ watts with no dry hits. I don't normally vape past 10 watts, but when I do :)

18650 mode is my favorite, got used to the longer tube with the VTube back when, but the short mode is a little more discrete and for the ladies with smaller hands probably more compatible. The bottom line is what works best for the individual...we all love this great and healthier alternative. :)

18650 is my fav. carry too, in two of my mechs... a brass Sentinel and SS Sigelei #20, and they're the same overall length as the Vamo in 18350 config... don't care for the Vamo in '650, so I just cycle the little batts thru it as needed. Short Vamo with an Aspire Nova @ 6-7w is good for me. Sometimes after a fresh batt. change, I'll 'kick it up' to 10-12 just to see what all the fuss is about :) but it just don't do anything for me... maybe with a different juice?

I bought these AGA Series Positive Post Insulators - 10 pack - Kidney Puncher to use in my Kanger BCCs... wasn't sure if they would fit, but for 2 bucks I figured WTHeck... and besides, I have an AGA T2 (if I can ever figure out how to make it wick right). They're tight, but they fit Protank and T3S heads. I haven't had to use any yet, they're in my vapocalypes box.

And I read so much good stuff about the VV3, I bought two two at desertvapes for $26 each... a black for me and a pearl chrome for my wife. I like that it has the "high frequency" chip in it (similar to the provari?), and should be a "smoother" vape?

USPS VapeTracking site says they'll be here today... vapemail! yeehaa.

Posted here by mistake, moved to other thread.

Now ya got me on the edge of me seat while I scurry over there to check it out. :D

I currently am rotating three batteries. They are DV eGo Twist - 1100mah - Stainless or similar. The next time I have a battery failing, I think I will get a mod. Is that going to be less expensive in the long run, with just replacing the battery that goes inside?

I am having problems with burnt taste on a fresh battery, so a larger range of settings would be nice. The VAMO V5 is interesting, but it is so new. Based on experience with the previous versions, how tough do you think it will be?

That invisible screen on the KSD KMax might make it more resistant to damage, however. But with either one, I would also be buying batteries and charger, which ups the cost.

No-- I don't want a mech mod-- I just don't have the know-how to do that.

I have asked this elsewhere, but wondering what you guys would say.

I have a vamo V2 and it has been fine. That said if I had to do it over again I would pick up a ZMax. The vamo is rather famous for delicate threads on the connector. I permanently keep a 510/ego adapter on my to protect those threads. The Zmax is just a more solid device.

If you go with Vamo get the Stainless Steel one. The other finishes scratch and chip very easily.

Mechs are not for everyone. No worries there. I have both Mechs and Regulated devices. They both have their merits.

You guys see this? OK - they are a bit inaccurate about the water vapor things, but overall have everything right

I have a $50 Mech mod and several Variable devices. don't make the mistake that you need special talents to use a non-regulated device. You put the battery in. You put the device on top. You vape.
the vape is stronger at the beginning of the bat and weaker at the end. Like a normal Ego battery. Nothing to be afraid of and a definite advantage if things keep going the way they are and we end up using illegal devices in the darkness of our closets.

One of the advantages of the mod is the (usually) greater adjustment range, although that may or may not be necessary for any given vaper.

Yes, in the long run, replacing a worn out 18650 will be cheaper than replacing an entire unit.

I treated myself to my first replaceable battery mod (MVP and Itazte VV3 don't count in that category!) for my first Vapeversary, and because VW was important to me, didn't get a Provari :) (Same rationale for not getting a mech. I change toppers too often to worry about them all having the same resistance.)

Looked closely at the Vamo, and couldn't find out if they've fixed the weak 510 threads... and wound up getting the Itazte SVD, since it's all stainless steel and seems to me to be a better quality construction. Really like it, good solid feel, easy to adjust, you can lock the settings to prevent accidentally changing them.

I've since also picked up the KSD KMax. I have to say that it runs hotter than the SVD (Or VV3), having to set it nearly 2 watts lower with the same topper/juice moved from one to the other. Not a deal breaker, and I've read of similar experiences from others. And, actually, I don't know which is "right" - but if the SVD and VV3 give similar performance at, say, 7.5 watts and I have to set the KMax at 5.5 - 6 for the same vape, the jury says that two votes beats one?

But it vapes great. I've found, too, that my MT3 and pyrex Aro MT3 styles need to have the collar off the KMax, T3 goes through just fine.

Both are telescope type and in the same price range as the Vamo. So it may just be a question of whether you prefer the multi or one button controls.

Evaluating all the options, it looks like the cheaper in the long run factor might not happen unless I buy from Fastech, which means that I can't wait until a battery has failed before replacing. I like the KMax the best, because I really don't want to have to buy a thread protector for a Vamo. They don't have the KMax in stock, and I would also have to buy charger from them.

Maybe I will stay with twists--really don't want to order from China. I have been waiting for one item for almost two months now (not fasttech.)
