Vapor Girl in chapel Hill is where I got my first setup. Great bunch there! Like the flavor bar too, they are expanding it as I understand, to have 2 bars in the store so more people can try at one time. :) YAY! I had to wait a bit, there were 4 others there testing too.
I love that the owner told me most of her clientele are over 50, including herself.

There are a couple of us NC'ers planning to get together in the spring, when the weather is better. Maybe you can meet with us. That would be great. And we may be making a trip to Vapor Girl next month. Keep in touch. :)

I remember when Vapor Girl first started her online store. It is nice to see she has succeeded so well. I also remember when Eric at DV decided to start selling e-cigs. He posted in the new members forum he was going start selling Go-Go's online because he couldn't find a charger for it without buying a kit. I thought he was just ranting at the time but soon I was buying all my Go-Go equipment from him. He later changed the name to Discount Vapor and began to sell everything and now is one of the more well known suppliers. It is great to see little guys succeed. I was very tempted to get in the business myself and probably would have if I would have been younger.:)

Great, TX! But one question - do the anniversaries' significance fade over time? I was ecstatic to hit my 1 year, back on Oct. 11, but now I'm almost thinking it's normal to vape - and be a NONSmoker :)
.
They have all been about the same for me and have never been real significant. After the first month of vaping I knew I would never return to smoking as long as vaping equipment was available and each year that passes just reconfirms that. I do like the fact it gives me an excuse for buying something new to celebrate the occasion!:D

Congratulations on your 4 years vapiversary, Tx! (How do you spell vapiversary anyway?)

Two year anniversaries have become very common on ECF. Three year anniversaries are even relatively common. But, 4 and 5 year anniversaries are few and far between. I guess you're an old-timer in more ways than one. :toast:

Hell, ECF itself is only 5 years old, right?

Tx, how are you liking your SID.........contemplating but haven't committed yet.May I ask where your purchased yours?

I always seem to like the same things that you do, well most of them, anyway.

I remember Eric well and the Go-Go.......and then, opening his store and succeeding as he has is very gratifying. BTW, I still think the Go-Go is one of the best PVs made, even with its priority threading, mine is still going after all these years.

Add some kanthal and wick to your stock of Evod heads, and you're good for even longer. The bottom single coils are pretty easy to rewind.

Agree! Micro or Nano coils working great for me with organic cotton wick. Got some Hemp from a source here and not much luck with it...boiled it 'til I thought it would be holy, too. (IOW boiled the heck out of it. :) )

I like the SID and I haven't had any problems with it. I got it from FastTech I'm just having a little hard time getting used to a 18650 tube again although I like it better than my other 18650 tube mods I've had, the Lava Tube, Vamo and ZMax.

Well.. You didn't ask me, but I'm loving my S.I.D.
It's the first "smaller" device I've had that will last me all day on a heavy vaping day.
It's not too big around to be uncomfortable in the hand, and the single button menu is very easy to work.

It's the single button that I find attractive in the SID.

I like my SID. It's light and works very well:)
Light is good, Fran.........working well is even better!

Yes, the 18650 tube is the only thing that has stopped me from purchasing sooner, as I am petite, and prefer a smaller configuration!
I will seriously consider it after the Holidays.

Thanks all for your responses...........

I've tried hemp, and haven't been able to get past it's taste, either...

I use silica for the main wick, so I can dry burn a few times, and cotton yarn for flavor wicks on all my bottom coils. They generally get tossed when I clean, whether or not it needs a dry burn.

I have been using cotton mostly - when I buy a new coil it comes with the silica in it and when I rebuild it I use cotton - have not tried anything else yet since it works and If It Aint Broke ...

I got my SID from madvapes, and also got an 18350 tube for it. Great for when you just want something shorter.
I also got an extra controller and battery cap, then the light dawned... I now have a 18650 SID and an 18350 SID!!

I have the silica and ekowool (also silica), but the cotton gives me better flavor...maybe I'm dreamin', but don't wake me up! :D

That's economical, but I just prefer the cotton...so I rebuild them right off. Actually, haven't bought any of the BC heads for a while. Wish I could find a supplier for the insulator, although I have not looked around for one yet. If anyone has a supplier please LMK. :)

One other thing, I haven't been able to get much past 7 watts with Silica, but with the OC I can vape at 12+ watts with no dry hits. I don't normally vape past 10 watts, but when I do :)

I have a dislike for long mods. I use my SID with the short tube.

18650 mode is my favorite, got used to the longer tube with the VTube back when, but the short mode is a little more discrete and for the ladies with smaller hands probably more compatible. The bottom line is what works best for the individual...we all love this great and healthier alternative. :)
