Damn... and I thought I was going to SAVE money vaping, lol...

Actually you can. I went overboard though stayed to my $100 a month budget while doing it for about 6 months. Now that I have finally found my preferred device + topper and I DIY my juices. I really only spend $50 or less a month (though my budget is $100). Which is less than one carton of cigs costs.

It is finding what you are happy with that takes time and some investments in things that are less than you desire. It is also not being a collector. ;)

My budget is a flat $100 a month. Anything leftover I am allowed to save up for future purchases. I rarely spend $100 a month now. :)

Woodvil sale coming up in a few weeks...

the way i see it, i'm only spending the kids' inheritance.

but if the sale goes as well as i hope. i might have to disinherit one o' them...

:)

You can. as long as you don't go crazy like I did to start with. Like with any new thing. Overspend and you won't save a thing. Spend reasonably and you save lots of money now, and even more later (not as many hospital bills)

I like that budget. Enough loopholes to satisfy you and strict enough to placate your wife?
Nope. no wife. I need to satisfy my Bank Account! :D

Indeed, you can save money up front, not to mention the likely lower medical costs.

As said, it can be a little spendy finding the hardware setup that makes you happy, but once done, IF you can resist the BSS (Bright Shiny Syndrome) after that, expenses drop off dramatically.

My neck of the woods, a carton of cigs runs around $80. I used to smoke that in about a week, so for me, anything less than that was a cost savings.

Of course, we're great ennablers around here....

I know I have spent a lot, but I am also only 12 days quit, lol. So I am trying not to look too deeply at the money just yet. But hopefully, once I get settled, I will start to save. I have settled on my favourite batteries (I think) as vision spinners. Got a charger for home and one for work (want to get one for the car, too, though). And for the tops I seem to be liking the Kanger ProTank Minis, and the ProTank 3 (bigger tank) for my ADV. I will probably buy one more "back up" battery. But hopefully after that it will just be buying the liquid and sometimes coils. So I am hoping to eventually keep it to 50 bucks or less a month... (fingers crossed, lol)...

Indeed, MissM, backups for the backups. Essential.

The Spinners are a solid device, gives good flexibility to adjust for the variance in coil resistance and for the flavor of the moment.

Keeping in that style, for additional backups, you might want to consider the Innokin VV3 or the SLB Mega ( NEW SLB eGo-V MEGA V3 1300mah eGo Pass Through - BLACK [gv-SLBMegaV3-BLACK] - $35.95 : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more ), both of which add VW to the mix. The VV3 is only 800 mAh rated, the SLB model is 1300.

(Like I said, ennablers... :) )

lol - I like the look of that. Thank you for the suggestion. I am really wanting to try one of the pass-throughs.

Do any of you think that you vape more than you smoked? Granted, I was pretty much a chain-smoker... but I feel like I vape an awful lot, possibly more than I smoked (if that's possible, lol)???

Oh that is an easy one. I undeniably vape more than I smoke. As my hubby says to me though who cares. With about 4000 less chemicals and no stink who cares. :) (For the record he has never smoked and backs my vaping 100%)

I have noticed though that my vaping is tapering off a bit these days. I think it has to do with finding the right device setup and juices to really satisfy the needs. Took me awhile to get here but now I can get involved with something and totally forget to vape. Sometimes for hours.

the silver hammertone has been singing to me for quite some time now. i love my copper vein, but i'm afraid to use it because certain skin oils will turn it pure black. (i have another CV that i bought off the classies and it arrived nearly totally black. the only hint of copper is around the catchcup, which we rarely touch)

supertrunker coated his with something to fend off the tarnishing, so i'm waiting a few months to see how that lasts before i put the untarnished CV back into the rotation.

hopefully, your skin chemistry won't tarnish it (apparently some don't), but you might wanna keep an eye on it.

I definitely vape more than I smoked. I actually just burned away my cigs, hanging out of my lips while doing dishes and other such chores or leaving them in an ash tray. I am much more conscious of vaping and enjoy it much more!
