Heh. My 3400 mah lasts me about a day.
I have coils between 2.4 and 2.8. I have two 3400 mah's charged and waiting for my Vamo. Some days I am sucking on my binkie all day, others I might go an hour or two without. What'd be my range? Should I just coax the last of the battery life out of my two twists in the transition, or hold them back fully charged for emergencies?

Hi all, I just found this thread and am wondering what age you have to be to follow it? :) I do not consider myself old, however sometimes my mind and body do have a few disagreements about that! Oh well being as I am almost 56 I will wait for the official invite to the old section. I am learning all kinds of things here, thanks to all.
You are just the right age.

Hi Greg, and welcome to our corner. Heck, I don't think any of us consider ourselves old, no matter what the body might say. In fact, a guy I used to work with always said you're not old until your age is in three digits...

Consider yourself formally invited :)

Hi Greg...it doesn't say "old", it says "older". I'm older today than I was yesterday, so I can be here. So can you and welcome!!

What kind of gear do you use for vaping (if you have any money left after the boat)? :D

Yep - what ^ he ^ said.

Hi Greg and come right in, grap a rocker and sit a spell. Nice to have you here.

Thankfully there is no age limit or I would be toast! This thread is my home on the internet and I am one of the younger ones at 49.

You will find people in this thread at all levels of vaping and all levels of experience with the gear. Between us all we can usually answer pretty much anything or at least know who can.

Welcome to the porch!:toast:

My coils are 1.5 to 2Ω's vaping between 4-4.5 volts. If I was just vaping 1 PV w/ 700 mAh batts I'd be using about 4+ a day or 2-3 1100 mAh'ers. I usually have 3 or 4 PV's going w/ 18350's and 18490's and I'm always swapping batts. That's with conventional wicks like silica or SS mesh. If I'm using ceramic wicks which act like heat sinks I'm vaping @ 4.5-4.7 volts and that eats up batts even faster.

Thanks for the great welcome! Ok a little hustory--I first tried vaping about 2 years ago, lasted a couple of months then I fell off the wagon. Actually the outdoor activities caused a lot of this plus lousy vaping equipment. I decided to not try again, but this time actually do it!! Bought good equipment this time and upped my nic content and so far so good! I own a Provari for sitting around the evenings watching TV. I have a couple of ego set ups with the variable voltage for work and my latest purchase is a joyetech eroll for out and about activities! One of my biggest downfalls last time was fishing and golfing! I am hopeing that the eroll will fit the bill for these. Actually those activities are going to be a while before I can test out that theory, I had an MRI last week for a shoulder problem and am scheduled to see a orthapedic surgeon next week! Sound like surgery is in my future. Too many years of fishing competevily I think? Will know more next week I guess. Oh well been very healthy and I guess parts wear out when you abuse them.
Sorry about the rambling, you may of learned more than you wanted to!
Well I will sure try and add some levity to here when I can, my wife says I am quite the comedian even though she won't laugh at my jokes?
Thanks for including me in this group and maybe I will meet up with some of you in the future.

Kanger ProTank 3 dual coil ... anyone use one of these? I love the Mini II, but I am having problems with the dual coil. I have to turn volts way up to get anything out of it, then it is too hot and harsh because I have the volts too high. It's almost like I need higher volts for 2 coils, but it's not giving me a nice smooth hit. It's new, so the coils should be fine...

Man, ya'll are ripping through batts. Now, I really appreciate that mine last me so long... I tried vaping at the higher volts / watts and with lower ohms - it got to close to simulating smoking for me so I backed off and just relax at my lower / cooler vape levels. Now, I have cranked it up to 4.2v when I had a craving, but that is so rare now that I cannot remember the last time doing it... Vape on crew Vape on...

It's hard to keep up with all the new stuff coming out. Has anyone tried the Kanger AeroTank? I bet I would love it because I am still a big ProTank fan. If interested.....

That's odd. Can you 'read' the ohms of the coil? If so what is it. Janet uses Aspire BDC and I use the same heads in the Davide's. Our coils are 1.8Ω and 2.1Ω. Janet vapes around 3.5 -3.7 volts and I'm in the range of 4 - 4.2 volts with either Ω'ed head. I'm wondering if the coil is bad - Janet had a used head reading about 2.2Ω that produced virtually no vapor until I cranked up the volts to like 4.7 - then it produced reasonable vapor - just didn't taste good. But that head was used for a couple weeks.

K------ probably ought to keep the twists in my purse for emergencies when out and about. Every few months get a new battery, so I won't have them all giving up at once. Don't worry-- I'm not going to get into ceramic wicks. silica is just fine. My batteries are 18650's so they will probably last all day-- hopefully. One can be in charger while the other is in use. I'll need to get a plastic battery carrier for switching out when out and about once the twists are used up.

Vamo just left Elk Grove Village Illinois.
