I had the problem with insomnia for the first couple of months of vaping. I finally lowered the strength of my nic in the evening and it helped. I think I am acclimated as I can vape whatever now and have no problems. I usually stay up until at least midnight anyway but now I can go right to sleep. Now I find that the higher nic at night seems to help me sleep. Go figure...

The higher nic also seems to help ease the pain of Fibro. May just be in my head but it does seem to help. Perception is everything.

Oh no, not you too with FMS? You are right though, it does indeed help with the pain issues, it is not just in your head! Somewhere in this forum there was a link posted to an article that verified it! I'm not terribly nic sensitive, but keep it on the high side because of the pain issues. It's no where near great, but every little bit helps!
I have always been a night owl too. It was weird when my kids were young because I would get them off to school, go to sleep and get up before they came home! It worked for us but it drove certain people nuts. Also have Chronic Fatigue syndrome to go along with the fibro and RA, so every day is just a new adventure. Hehehe. Ain't it fun! These days I sleep when I can no matter when and after a long deprivation have been known to go on make up binges (or "mini comas" as my friend calls it) of days at a stretch where I couldn't stay awake for nothing or nobody! I hate it because it feels like a little death, zombie lady. It would be okay if the pain and sleep would happen together, but of course the worst pain won't let you sleep and is probably what screws up your sleep so bad to begin with. OMG! I am a whining old fart! Shoot me now, please! I apologize to everyone! It's just that when you feel so alone with it and nobody understands it's so...lonely. I didn't mean to vent here, I'm not normally a whiner, honest! I sure don't want anyone else to suffer, but it's just kinda good to know someone else understands, if that makes any sense. Most people assume if you look fine you are fine, and can't understand why you don't "want to do anything or go anywhere, etc." Makes you feels pretty low when you are already down on yourself. Okay, 'nuff of that, we all have our crosses and I love ya all!

The difference is with the one you use you only activate the firing of the batterie .
With Raidys mod you not only fire the batterie but you also determine the draw amount of the vape.
It is like a cigaret. You draw hard .. you get lots of smoke/vape you draw light you get less smoke/vape

With the current ones like you have there is no difference in vape production when you draw hard or light.

Ah! Gotcha! Thanks for clarifying that!

Hey CharlieGirl, there's a ECF member that has this quote as her signature and I always chuckle when I see it

"Old age ain't no place for sissies"- Bette Davis

I think we all need to vent every now and then and for some this may be the only place they can to do it, no problem.

Sometimes we just have to vent. I try not to complain since for the most part no one wants to listen anyway. :) I just deal with it the best I can. I am so happy that I not only found a way to give up a 45 + year habit/addiction but also found something that helps with the pain. Hang in there and just try to deal with it a day at a time.

Well, the CE3s work as well this morning as they did last night - I'm really pleased. I reckon this morning I'll order a couple of boxes for my son as I know he'll love them. It's great to find a product that work as advertised from a vendor that does a great job - all products should be like this.

Good morning all...

No problem hi-hi Ask away. I am sure others might have a different setup.
I use ss mesh 325 (300) cut to 35x22 mm. I use 40/60 and 10/90 pg/vg mixes. Both work fine.
I make 4-5 wraps with the kanthal to get 2.4-3 ohm somewhere around that.
I have not had that metal taste. I think that also comes from not oxidizing right but not sure on that one.
I use mostly 100% VG and it is somewhat thick,so I think the bigger hole mesh (smaller #) would work best. I guess the thing that I have a hard time wrapping my head around is, metal wicking the juice if the tank is on the bottom. Is the oxidizing layer what determines the wicking efficiency?

Can you post a link to exactly what you got please.

Ok, time to pick y'alls brains again. I know CE's are clearos. I don't understand what the numbers represent. I've seen CE2, CE3, CE4 etc. Did someone mention a 6 on the other page or was that something else? I know some types of them have been given other names like stardust, phoenix etc. Not sure which CE #'s those are though. But what do the numbers mean? What would be the difference between a CE 2 and a CE4 for example. TIA : )

Charliegirl, don't worry about it. I had my meltdown a few pages back, so it was your turn. lol It is awfully hard when you look perfectly normal. Even when people see how much extra effort it takes to do the simplest thing, even they sometimes lose track of just how difficult it is. If they haven't lived with constant debilitating pain, they just don't know. It helps us all when we find someone who really understands. Feel free to pm whenever you need a shoulder.

Got it yesterday. I love it!!! I'm just using the 18350 batteries with it...like the small form factor. Charged batts and started using it about 2:00 yesterday, and battery still showing 3.7. Now I just need another 510-Ego adapter so I can have both going at the same time. My poor little KGOs are not getting a lot of use now.....

I posted a little "chart" to explain these and the different naming conventions, but I can't find it now.

CE2 - clear tube, looks like a clear cartomizer with no polyfill, have't used, not sure on details

CE3 = clear tube, syringe fill, bottom coil or top coil versions (Phoenix). Comes in 1.6, 3ml, and bigger(?) versions.

CE4 = "mini tank", top coil, top fill (Stardust, Ego Vision, eTurbo, iTurbo)
CE4+ = upgrade with new plastic tubes
CE5+ - bigger, rebuildable. First iteration has replaceable insert, V2 will have screw in heads like Vivi Nova

CE6 - bottom coil, top fill (maybe Scorpion). Eventually supposed to have a plate rather than coil

Thanks so much!! I was thinking stardusts were CE 4. All this stuff is confusing, but this will help a ton!!!

Do you like the metal? It looks to be very cost effective

Yes I do. I've used attys, carto's and a couple of the CE style juice holders. It's the 'cleanest' (don't know how else to try to explain it) tasting vape I've had. I get no metallic taste what-so-ever. Obviously there's no taste of stuffing like with a carto, and even though I really like dripping sometimes the heat of the atty (not a dry hit) but the heat from the atty itself can alter the taste and warm up the drip tip and dry out my lips. (Ok - I'm a chain vapor and could avoid that if I spaced out my vaping).

I think you asked about 'wicking' using a metal wick. With a bottom tank genisis, you roll the wick around a pin or syringe tip making a tiny straw. The wicking of the mesh is enhanced with the air pressure you create when drawing air through the atty. With a top tank genisis type atty, folks seem to wrap a 'straw' atty and/or a sold wick without the 'center hole' and both work. With the top tank, gravity and air pressure aide the wicking process. Believe me, there's no problem with juice flowing along a metal wick.

The cost per wick is probably around 20 cents for a 30x30mm piece of mesh and a couple inches of kanthal wire.

Here's exactly what I bought and where I bought it from...

CE3 - 5 Pack

NGIB...I can't keep up with you. I have Resurrectors on the way and I have to wait for eagle before I buy anything else.

Are you vaping the CE3's at 3.7v?? I noticed they are rated at 2.6-2.8 ohms.

Yeah, pretty much. I tried them on the VTube at different voltages but they work best (with the juice I use) at 3.7 anyway. Brought one to work today on the eGo and it's doing just fine...

they're a couple dollars more per pack, but GV has the lower ohms, 2.4-2.6 on these. Don't know if that would make much of a difference, but thought I'd let you know.

The problem with GV is they tend not to have any in stock when I wanted them - very irritating. Also, they get so much "bad press", I've been hesitant to give them my money. I like vendors that want my business and treat me as an important customer, from some of the responses I've seen from GV staff - they'll never see one cent from me...

Good morning all...

I have now been using mine for a week and I gotta say, I am impressed. I initially bought 1 box of 5. The next day I ordered 5 boxes of 5. I have only had to clean one of mine so far. The sweet bakery juices seem to slow the vape down after 3 or 4 fillings. Taking them apart and putting them back together is a breeze. And the very best part.....NO leaks. Love 'em. Hubby has been using 2 of them in rotation, vaping unflavored nic and both are still vaping just like new.
