Something rather odd happened and I wondered if this was a withdrawal from analogs. I keep thinking there'll be no withdrawal symptoms with vaping, but of course there's still the other 3999 chemicals my body is suddenly not getting, lol.

I found an e liquid I REALLY like. So I ordered a large bottle and have been happily watching the mail. And it's been snowing up north and it got snowed in at a post office for 3 days before the USPS sent it south. In the tracker it says it was delivered today, but it wasn't. And I still have lots of other liquids in my nic level. But I stuck my hand in the mail box and felt all around just in case I've gone blind and it really WAS there but I just couldn't see it. Then I went onto the front porch and moved the plants around and looked in the empty flowerpots just in case it had grown legs and climbed into one. Then I realized my heart was beating fast and I could see how stupid I must look and I felt like a ...... addict, lol. I mean, I've NEVER done that looking for a ciggy before and 20 days ago I was a 2PD girl. What was that about? An anxiety attack (to which I'm NOT prone)? Some sort of weird chemical withdrawal? I know it wasn't needing the e liquid becasue I have plenty of other flavors with nic in them. And the other thing is I'm craving food and eating more than usual, which is weird and I don't want to gain weight. Anyone had anything similar? I mean I get odd moments when I pick up my PV and then feel about for the lighter and start to panic when I can't find it, then I realize and laugh about it. But that thing with the e juice was REALLY weird...

I also had a moment gassing up the car - stuck the gas thingie in the gas tank then went to empty the ashtrays while it pumped the gas (my usual routine). Didn't have any ashtrays to empty. Kind of panicked and started searching the (clean) car for SOMETHING to throw away. It sounds silly, lol, but it really was kind of a freaky experience.

If you never tore the house up looking for a cig you were doing MUCH better than I was. ;) I think for me the stalking the mail comes from an inherent distrust of the USPS. Too many time I see them leaving stuff at the wrong house or being too lazy to get out of their truck to bring it to the door.

As for routines like dumping ash trays. Those take awhile to pass. When I first started vaping I'd be halfway to the door PV in hand heading out to smoke and suddenly realize "DUH you don't have to go out anymore." I still find myself fishing in my pocket for a lighter that isn't there.

Also don't discount how your changes in routine affect those that live with you. That first month I was vaping the hubby was nearly late to work 7 times. He was so used to that blast of air when I went out for my morning smoke that he used it to keep track of what time it was. I stopped going out and it messed him up something awful. ;)

Just recently, a couple days ago, I was awakened by the phone. Talked to my son and made coffee at the same time. After hanging up, I walked around for 5 minutes looking for something. I then realized I was looking for cigs I hadn't had in a month. It actually cracked me up.

A couple weeks ago I had to tear the place apart to find a lighter just so I could light a candle. I haven't lost track of a lighter in 30 yrs.

Old habits are hard to break, hang in there.

I've been thinking about this, and I think it is something to do with the psychology of change. Change is stressful - even welcome change. And I want, and vaping fills that want, but my psychie is still aware that something is different. My house smells differnet. The other day I came home and my house didn't smell like my house and for a second it was like I walked into the wrong home. It's just kind of thrown my world off, I think. I just took the pack of smokes down from the window sill (awwww.. it still has a lighter tucked into it!). I smelled them, and they don't smell good and I didn't feel a need to smoke one, but they did smell comforting. Like something old and safe one remembers from somewhere else, lol. Anyway, I said hi and bye and I put them back on the window sill :D It's weird but you don't realize how much smoking effected almost every routine you have....

I love it about your husband timing his day by your gust of cold air, lol!

I have a 1300 mah battery and then a little 400 (?) one for back up. I have to take both everywhere and constantly charge them. Is there a battery, that isn't a box thingie or that I won't accidentally blow up when I drop it in the shower or forget it on the charger (if I get stuck with a client) that will last all day? I have the Kanger mini 2 tanks and I like them so far... I don't want to get into anything technological or complicated or anything that requires oil changes and tune ups...

I have two SID devices. They are about 1/3 again thicker than a 1300 ego/spinner type battery.
They take an 18350 and an 18650
The setup for the 18650 alone would probably last you all day
At $50, it's a good price too
SID Variable Volt / Watt APV

Most any battery powered device could blow up dropped in the shower, and if you're vaping in the shower, maybe you need to up your nic?

Are these batteries really old? And are you getting them fully charged? (Charger light green.) I'd think the 1300 should last the day, or most of it. You could just get more of the same, if you like the form factor. There is also a 1300 VV/VW to be had in that shape. With two or more 1300's you could just work out your charging routine. Maybe put #1 on charge and vape #2 when you get home, and so on?

Since you said essentially no box thingie, that would leave any of the tube mods, like the SVD, Vamo, SID, etc. Couple one like that with some high capacity 18650s, say in the 2900 mAh range, and all you'd need would be a spare or two in a protective case for pocket or purse. The types cited (and lots of others) are VV/VW, and only as complicated as unscrew bottom, exchange "dead" battery for fresh one, replace bottom. Charge depleted one.

Or maybe get to a B&M and handle an MVP V2. They're actually a lot smaller than you may think. But very true, some folk just don't care for boxes.

I still keep a lighter in my pocket. I had to switch to a BIC because the ZIPPO kept evaporating too quickly.
The lighter is still good for burning off stray threads, etc.
That's the one thing I miss about always having a cigarette lit, stray threads.

You only have 2 batteries?!!!!!

You need to always keep at least twice what you actually need in case something goes wrong. Whatever form you happen to like. It doesn't matter. Just make sure it's at least double what you actually need. Or you won't have back-up when something goes wrong.

I remember thar it was really hard for me to have a few puffs, and then drop it in my pocket.
I just knew I was going to set myself on fire.
It even bothered me to lay it down anywhere ... you just don't do that with a cig !
I carried it in my hand for a long time before I was comfortable enough to put it down anywhere.
I think it took a couple of months to get over that quirk.

Just don't flick it out the car window ..........

Thank you all - I will pop by the vape shop tomorrow to see what options they have. The reason I didn't want a box thing is because when I did the research on POSSIBLE vaping health issues the nay-sayer group all came up with exploding batteries and said stay away from anything modified (which is I'm assuming a Mod?) and the box batteries are mods? I have a weird paranoia about anything technical. I won't even leave the house with the hair dryer plugged in. Had a sewing machine motor break into "on" once and came home to find it happily sewing away all by itself and running REALLY hot... Live in a caravan... don't want any fires, lol. Other than that I have no problem with the box shape. Even three 1300s I'd be fine with, if only I could leave two of them (safely) charging overnight, lol.

If I get a Sid where I have to replace the batteries inside it, how long are those replaceable good for? I could see that being really handy (you could stock up) for when we move into hurricane season and my power-outage paranoia level goes through the roof, lol... Longest I've been without power so far is just over a week, so if I got 2 weeks of backups for hurricane season I'd probably be able to vape through any outage with ease....

If you want to stick to ego type devices I do have ahurricane season solution for you.

Amazon.com: Opteka BP-SC6000 Ultra High Capacity (6000mAh) Backup Battery Solar Charger with Faster Charging EcoPanel (2013 Model): Cell Phones & Accessories

will recharge anything that charges by USB (cell phones, ego batterys etc). there are larger capacity ones available. It is solar driven. Downside is it is not fast.
