It's a work vehicle. One of the benefits of working on the North Slope, cool vehicles.

One thing about it ... we will know who you are when you pull up to the porch in that thing.
Dibb's on the first ride

Until then, welcome, and glad to hear you didn't give up.
We all had bumpy beginnings, and hanging in there earns you the cushy rocker.
So, plant it down, warm up the backside, and hang around, .. you'll fit right in.

Yeah... I was just going to throw away that one tank, but I think I will take it all apart again and re-do it and see if there isn't something to work it out. The others I did I used like 9 strands in each wick and they aren't gurgling....

Yup, don't toss anything unless it's really broken. You may be able to use it for spare parts...

But a rebuild with more wick may do it.

IIRC, Kanger's typically come with a 3 mm wick, and two 1 mm strands for flavor wick. So shoot for a little less than that to allow the cotton room to expand. It will :)

OK .. calling all mad scientists
I have fallen in love with
Spurburry E Juice Baker Vapor - Mt Baker Vapor - Electronic Cigarettes
spurburry e-juice
anyone know how to replicate this one?

They don't give a description of the taste on their site. Guess that's why I never searched their thread for juices I might like. You have to go by the reviews to get a general idea and they don't sound anything like the photos. If you want to try to make it yourself I guess you have to go by what the reviewers describe.

Seriously, glad you're vaping and enjoying it all. Welcome to da finest thread on da ECF; well, this one and our BACK PORCH where we swap lies and swat flies, aka open topics.

Awesome to hear, Mike! Nice lookin' coil. Ya just talked me into gettin' off my keel and redoing my KFL.

How did ya place da XC on da upper deck? Any special technique? Have a pic?

BTW, did ya try moistening da XC, then pull and roll/twist da tip into a 'spear' point for threading?

Chances are I'll probably be gettin' back in touch wid ya with more questions as my near misses pile up.

Thanx fer day followup!

No additional pics on doing it. But I pretty much did what I remembered from some reading and videos I saw. For the coil, I left it on the drill bit, so I had something to hold onto while positioning it. I found it easier to 1st, snug down the positive side (on my R91 the neg side likes to move around, it's tricky to keep it snug on the insulator) while holding the coil over the air hole. Then obviously I did the neg side. Then I could lift the coil using the drill bit to make sure the pos lead was clear of the deck, etc.

Then after threading the wick, I pulled both end straight up and put the screwed the collar onto the deck - with the wick ends sticking out. I cut the wick ends about 3/8-1/4" higher than the collar. Next I carefully pushed the wick ends down into the assembly to close of the wick channels. This had to be done gently because the the wick diameter doesn't leave a lot of spare space in there. I didn't want to move or push the wick 'down' and cause a short. I think I cut them too long - next time I might try cutting them 'just higher' than the collar.

Good luck - wasn't as tricky as I thought - just take your time.

oh - oh, here's my PV wearing a diaper. Once before when trying a new build I didn't get the wick channel filled properly. Overnight the tank drained down through the air hole and - yuck - a mess. So until I get more confidence in 'new' builds - I make my PV wear a diaper overnight. Happy to say - last night - my PV didn't have an 'accident'.

Same in my KFL. I even 'fluffed out' the ends which helped a lil'.

Wrapped a 28g 1.2Ω and used some XC. Worked kinda OK. I'll just keep trying till I find the right combo and config. Thanx fer da help!

Cheaper than Pampers!

Nice rack, Mike!!

Is that a reference to Mikes rack??? (Nice rack, Mike!!)

When I'm in doubt about potential leaks, I just put the topper into a shot glass for awhile. If it does leak, easy to see and clean. No diapers needed :)

That probably would not work for me .. in a daze, if it leaked, I might think it was a shot of something else ..

I always take the coils out before I soak them overnight in vodka, and if what's in the shot glass isn't clear, I get out the nic test kit, 'cause I may have just made some 18 mg vodka liquid.

I have fibromyalgia and figured this might be a good thread to post in, even if I'm only 54 ;)

I have a few mods that I find very uncomfortable to use. Either the metal edges "cut" into my fingers or the button is painful to press or located in an awkward location, etc. The best short term solution is eGo with a small tank, but I'm looking for a solution that doesn't require a stack of spare batteries or charging 3 or 4 times a day. Which is why I went to mods based on 18650 batteries.

Can those with similar issues chime in with what you've found that works for you?
