Having just been through the dead charger thing, I just picked up another nitecore i4. The hubby was doing the research and everything he could find was listing weird battery sizes for the Pila and not the 18650s and 18350s I use. As he put it if we are replacing the charger every 6 months then oh well it isn't that expensive and we know the i4 works.

The Pila will indeed charge 650's and 350's. Ours gets used for 18350, 18490, 18650 and even 14500's. We have 4 chargers, a Pila, a Tenergy and two xtar 2 bay chargers. The xtar's are nice for travel packing and we always take 2 chargers when travelings. The Tenergy is nice because the contacts are spring loaded and it doesn't need spacers for different size batts. If we didn't already have 4 chargers, I'd get one of those Nitecores that doesn't need spacers.

Im 37 years young and was a smoker for 23 years. I feel like shouting from the rooftops my love for vaping and I have, even on youtube haha. I was able to help a lady who works with me to get into vaping too. She is about 60 years old and is really liking it. I find that I have to help her with small technical aspects of vaping but I don't mind that her video cassette recorder is still flashing 12:00 (some pun intended). I really respect anyone who is willing to try something new, especially when they've become accustomed to smoking for many decades. I applaud you all.

Congratulations on making the switch and for helping a co-worker. There are so many questions related to vaping so it's very helpful to have someone nearby. I'm glad hubby and I started together and finding ECF was amazingly helpful. Vaping is exciting because there's so many new things coming out - something for everybody to enjoy! AND it's SO MUCH better than smoking!!

I so appreciate the help I received both from reading here on ECF before I took the plunge (60 days today cigarette free) and since joining. I have my core group I picked out well before joining - the no-BS folks who state it in words I understand - not in abbreviations I have to go search out only to find I have no interest in learning about much less using the product.

Help for me came based on what to expect and what to look out for when comparing 'devices'; the sublime to the ridiculous. Buying on impulse or buying on proven performance and longevity. Folks helped even when they didn't know they were helping and those who I asked specific questions gave very specific answers. Sometimes I find myself NOT doing the same and I need to work on that - or stop trying to give advice.

Thanks to the 'helpers' you make a BIG difference!

Stro...all ages are welcome here but be careful about the VCR jokes. There will come a day when you may be stuck between home and your granddaughter's wedding and you can't get your teleporter to work. I still try to shut of the lights on the car when I get home after dark.

Most of us tried and tried to quit smoking. Vaping is truly a wonderful solution and your willingness to help someone, regardless of age, is to be applauded. Way to go!!

OMG when I first got the car I have now it was the first NEW car I have ever owned. I went to get the state inspection done and the guy said turn on your headlights. I had to say HOW? Dang car turns them on and off for me when needed and I didn't know how to turn them on manually.

High beams? My foot still hunts for the button on the floorboard.

As for the time on the VCR? I still set my mothers every time I visit (she is 92). I should probably explain that we lost dad about 3 years ago. He handled at the technical mechanical chores that needed doing in the house. When mom found herself alone she was totally clueless how to even start handling those things. In the great list of things she had to learn to do (including things like keeping a car running and how to pay bills) the VCR was small potatoes. I handle it.

Yet for vaping I run mechs and build my own coils. Go figure. ;)

I just learned how to run our VCR by myself about a month ago :lol::lol: We got a new HD TV and I figured after all these years since I needed to figure out some new stuff about the new TV I might as well finally learn how to use the VCR myself too :D

Funny how we can easily learn about stuff that really interest us, like our new vape toys :D but manage to avoid learning other stuff so easily:)

By the way, you guys must be all taking naps today or be really content with your vape toys , found this thread on the 3rd page

HELLO the camp !

Newb vaper here, been off the stink sticks 6 days and not going back. Smoked a pack + per day for 40 years. Starting to wander off the new users section, saw this place and thought I might stop by and borrow your porch for a bit...the company seems pretty friendly and I can relate to a lot of similar experiences in life.

A little about me- I'm staring 60 right square in the eye. Recently remarried, the first marriage conked out after 29 years. Sold out, packed up and moved from Colorado to Wichita to marry my wonderful wife. She has 12 grandkids- some have adopted me as their grandpa, some are still gun shy about me. I have 2 married sons in their early to mid 30's, but no grandkids from them, yet. I was very fortunate and got to retire at 50, but after retirement, got a job teaching part time at the local university for 5-6 years. My other expensive hobbies include astronomy (you think vaping is pricey, try telescopes !), guns and reloading. I love pheasant hunting, and we both enjoy fishing. We also have a mint '57 Chevy 4 door ( 41,000 actual miles) which I like to tinker with, and Ginny loves to drive.

Think I will wander around some, nice porch you have here.

So now I'm mad at myself. We finally got back out to the house yesterday to see how bad the fire damage is, and to pick up some stuff we needed. (The structural damage isn't too bad, but the smoke and water damage is, and going to be a lot worse when things thaw.) So I have my list of most urgent items for long term motel living, and chugging on through it while trying to comfort a really traumatized dog, and I think I have pretty much everything (though of course you never do) and we get our ride back.

Get back and pull out the bottles of juice, and the toppers, and I still don't have any of my favorite almost all day vape with me. It seems that I was counting a little too much on my (never strong) organizational skills when I just grabbed all the juice off of my vaping organizer. I must have had my favorite out to do a refill and left it somewhere on the end table. So I guess I'll be sure this time and just order more to be delivered directly to said motel.

Hello and welcome to the porch. I passed 60 a bunch of years ago. Vaping finally broke my 45 year 2+ ppd habbit. Been smoke free for over 2 years now and it's grand, just grand not to be smoking anymore. hmmm, I wonder if one of you tele-tubes could be modded into a PV - nah that just aint right. So tomorrow when you wake up - you'll have you 1st vaping anniversay - 1 week - no smokes. Congrats to you.

I could mod one of those tubes, but she's gonna be a little top heavy and kind of pricey to fill...I'd say close to 3 gallons.

Now where did I put that ego to Celestron 2" adapter ring ???

Amoret- Years ago when I was a teenager my parents home had a fire, the water and smoke damage was worse then what the fire consumed. You have all of my sympathy for what's happened to your house (((hug))). That really sucks that you didnt get your favorite juice out of the house. I do give you a lot of credit for your great additude about it all :)
