Hello all,
Thinking of getting a Provari on the 31st,just wondering what current owners like/dislike about it. Does it feel solid,dependable?

I like mine - both of them. When it clicked that I was going to spring for an upper end mod, I was waffling between an RSM or Hog mod VV, and the ProVari. I really liked the looks of the wood mods, so well made and so easy on the eyes. I went with the ProVari for it's form factor in the end and I'm glad I did.

Some people don't like the weight of it, but I actually do. I like the way it fits in my hand and my thumb rests naturally on the on/off button. It certainly is rock solid and dependable. I've dropped one of mine twice from waist high on to a hard surface and no dents or electronic malfunctions. I take the ProVari with me anyplace I go and have gotten used to the weight of it in my shirt or pants pocket. It does have some weight to it, but I got used to it quickly - just like getting used to a mobile phone in my pocket when I first got one of those.

I've got the standard size and use it with AW IMR 18490's. I vape constantly from wake-up to bedtime and basically go through 2 batts per day. If I put the extension cap on and use the bigger batt - one would probably last me all day. I don't use the extension cap because I like the looks of the SS end cap at the end of the black tube (OK, for me looks counts too, not just functionality/batt life). The one button click-click-click, becomes natural very quickly for checking volts, battery level, ohms, etc.

I really don't have any dislikes or I wouldn't have two :laugh:

Glad to hear you like it. I thinking hard on the mini black with blue led.I already purchased a chrome extension cap,that would fit either mini or full size. I just have a feeling after I use it at home I'll want to take it to work also,so leaning to the mini for pocket size. I currently use a Kgo 1100mah at home, and take two Kgo 650mah to work which last me thru the night. Also buying the wife a mini (she also wants a blue led),I hope they have a supply built ahead!LOL!!!
I'll be at the computer waiting at 4P.M. on the 31st.:)

:tumble:Well the mailman just brought me some new stuff to play with today. I got an Ovale V8 VV and a couple of new Clearo type tanks, an E1 and a Ce-6. They are both real nice looking mini tanks and hold about 2ml. I really like the look of the ce6 but I'm having problems with it wicking. The Revive E-1 is working real good so far. The Ovale is a nice little box mod with a nice big lcd display. It is very easy to change voltages up or down in .1 v increments, even easier than the LT because it has bigger buttons. It doesn't read ohms though or display your remaining voltage like my LT. It is also made of hard plastic and I imagine if you dropped it on a hard surface it would probably break. I've dropped my LT a couple of times without hurting it at all. I thought it would have a flat bottom so it would set flat on my desk but it has a curved bottom so it sets at an angle and can be easily knocked off of the desk unless you lay it down on it's back. It does work very good and will hold a charge longer than my LT mini but if I had to choose I would choose the LT over the Ovale. I do like it and for the price of 29.00 for a VV you can't go wrong with buying one. :)

Darn:( I'm so clumsy anymore, think that curved bottom puts me off of it. That's okay, I've got to save for a couple of months before getting any vv, so maybe they'll have the newer LT straightend out by the time I'm ready. :unsure:

The green led will be all the rage - but I'm with you and the wife - I like the black w/ blue. I think they'll have plenty. It actually took a couple-few days for the last black and blue sale to sell out.

Hey Mike....the black minis with blue leds are coming out .....

Oh no Harley ... the mailman just delivered a full size and mini LT from a co-op I was in. Couldn't pass 'em up at $21 each. They will be nice carry's when out in the shop, doing yard work, etc., so I don't get the ProVari's scratched up.

I'm really liking the size of the LT mini - how do I not jump on the black mini ProVari that's coming out. Hold me back, hold me back .... :ohmy:

Hope you will keep us update on your CE6. I know they feel really well made. I felt like I was holding a quality piece of equipment when I got mine but by the next day one was leaking and it had a really really tight draw. The hairline cracks both top and bottom started growing and by the second day it leaked all the juice out. The other one had a looser draw and seemed to be working pretty well for a couple of days but the cracks on it started growing too and it too is now unusable. Hopefully I will be able to get new tubes for them.

On another note, The mailman brought my new CE3's from DV today. So far, I love them. Wish now I had ordered more. Will definately stock up on these.

OK I have the CE4 and the CE5 but I am confused on what the CE3 is so help me out please..

Harleydiva to the rescue. She posted this in the 55+ thread.

CE3 = Phoenix XL
CE4(+) = Stardust, eTurbo, iTurbo, Vision eGo Clearomizer (There are different versions, newest has tougher plastic tube)
CE5+ = Rebuildable CE4
CE6 = Scorpion I think
Phoenix 3ml tank - haven't seen an equivalent to this one yet
Vivi Nova - no equivalent, but get V2 with the improved head design

I see Mike already cleared this one up for you. :) I like the fact that these CE3's are close to the same size as a boge carto. Not really into the bigger tanks so these are perfect. They sure do make the vape taste good.

I rec'd the V8 today, too. I'm not sure about it and will wait for some 3.0 cartos I have ordered. My observations:

The design engineer?? is an idiot...probably worked in Detroit in the '70's. It takes two 18350 batts and the contacts on both ends are recessed so that the opening in the case is smaller than the batteries. Makes battery in and out a real chore. This might be the deal breaker. The battery door is push and slide and NOT for the dainty.

I got black and it's shiny and slippery. That and the the rocker bottom make it bound to get dropped or knocked off the desk. I may scuff it up with a Scothbrite pad and spray it with black chalkboard paint. Or maybe I'll use green and put some stripes around it.

There is an adapter on top. I think it's 901 to 510. Mine arrived loose and cross threaded and it still worked. I finally figured it out and got it on straight and tight.

I started with two new fully charged batteries and did not go above 4.2 volts with a 2.0 tank carto. That was for just a couple puffs to compare. The rest of the time I stayed at 3.7. Seems to me the batteries ran out kind of fast. I'll do another cycle and see what happens.

This may end up being the innards of my first wooden mod (I'm an avid woodworker). Somehow, French polished cherry is more appealing than black Chinese plastic :D

I'll probably keep it because it does work and it's really cool for the money. It also fits in my shirt pocket.

CE3 is a small clear tube....looks just like the small phoenix. Loads upside down with a syringe. A lot of people love them....but I didn't. I got lots of vapor, but little flavor.
