It helped that I watched a LordDevon youtube video before I got them (CE3's). They are super simple to fill and so far, not a single leak.

The first juice I filled up with is Stl Gooey Butter Cake. It was good in other juice holders but not nearly as good as it is in this unit. I think I am going to have to cut the nic strength because it seems stronger in this unit. Strange......

Hello all,
Thinking of getting a Provari on the 31st,just wondering what current owners like/dislike about it. Does it feel solid, dependable?
I'll agree with HarleyDiva and Mike about the ProVari, I really enjoy mine. If you're looking for a negative, I have the 2 18650 batteries for the full sized ProVari, the bigger size with the extended end cap and the larger battery makes it too heavy for a shirt pocket, so it's not very portable. On the weekends I swap 2 18490 batteries which makes it more manageable to haul around.

With the 18650 I get all day on one battery, with the 18490 I get about 12 to 14 hours.

As long as you can afford it don't even think twice about buying one, just push that Buy button on the 31st.

I got the CE3 (small Phoenix) and like it a lot. Filling with the syringe has not been a problem, no leaks and I like the flavor of my juice in it, but I like a bigger tank so I don't have to fill it as much. I like the 3ml Phoenix a lot, but had problems with a terrible burnt taste unless I took a few air puffs on it before pushing the button. The last 3 times I only filled it 3/4 full instead of filling all the way and now I'm not having any burnt taste problems at all.

I have the 18490 batteries for my V2...so it isn't too bad. I'm thinking though, that the Mini would be easy to carry around with the small batteries. Then later I could get the extension cap that would fit both when I get some more batteries. In the meantime, I still have a couple of KGO and an EGO for backups....

Notice I have this all figured out....in between saying to myself "Are you nuts...you don't have the money!" But then... "you've looked at every other PV, and you don't like them near as much...and that green LED is really sweet". In all honesty, I probably can't do it right now...got little things to think about like my car registration is expired, as is my professional liability insurance. Need to take care of those little details first.

When I was 16, I was working at a local gas station. The owner built the fastest hotrods in town. I started 'souping' up my car and one day I said to the boss all my paycheck money is going into my car. He said, Mike don't add up the money you spend on your hobby or you'll stop doing it. I still try to live by that advice.

Hope this helps you make a decision.

Yep, I'm partial to the color green. Tho' I tend more to the forest greens, then the bright LED green. Reminds me of the old Donovan song "Colors".

Green is the color of my new PV
In the morning, when we rise
That's the time
I love the best

Good Morning one and all. "Sunshine On My Shoulders Makes Me Happy"

I would appreciate some help from the VV crowd. I just got a VV Mod that uses two 18350 batts. The ones I have are 1200 mah. I assume (I know, I know) that they are in series to provide more than 3.7 volts. Does this mean that at voltages below 7.4v the device uses a resistor to reduce voltage and does this effect the life of the charge?

I'm pretty sure my Gripper mod (non-vv) with one battery lasts longer than the Ovale V8 with two running at 3.7 volts. Yes, I'm using the same tank/carto on both.

How about I reverse one battery and run them parallel and keep the voltage at 3.7 or below? Shouldn't the batts then last longer?

    Vaping in public places?

Just curious about any experience anyone here has had with vaping in public places. I haven't done it yet, other than to go outside a restaurant where I normally would have gone to smoke.

Very curious about what people's reaction would be. Also, if any of you have vaped in public places, do you ask management first, or do you just whip out the PV and vape?

Hello to all the older vapors here, I've read most of the thread and you all are to be commended for quitting the stinkies after decades of smoking!!
I have a smoking dad who has had a major heart attack, and I would love to get him a surprise ecig kit (maybe for fathers day?) do you think this is a good idea? he's pretty skeptical on the whole subject and pretty much only ever talks about it in the negative (ex. Don't those blow up and are dangerous?). How do you suggest I approach him? Im pretty sure he'll never try them on his own just because of the negative publicity it can get. Is it a lost cause?

Well, I vape publicly. In the Mall I vape in the open areas with no problems, but keep it to a minimum in the actual stores themselves. I have vaped on airlines (some allow it and others do not - those I ask). I vape in restaurants, grocery stores, book stores, and almost any other public areas, but also keep it to a minimum and I do not blow large plumes of vapor advertising my vaping. I have never had anyone say anything, but I have had smokers ask questions. Depending upon the moment I will sometimes go outside to vape - I guess for me it depends upon how far away that is or the environment I am in...

Hello Squish I think that would be a great Fathers Day gift and shows how much you love him. He may be to skeptical to try one on his own but a gift from a son might be a little different. Send him our way after you give it to him, sometimes older folks will listen to other older folk and turn off the younger generation with their new fangled ideals.
Good luck and let us know how it goes!

It is never a lost cause. I would say that first you need to determine his personality and what style would fit him... What I mean is - will he be turned off by certain form factors and how much is fiddle factor going to bother him... Then you need to explain the negative aspects and how they use the same batts as cell phones, laptops, etc. His personality also determines how and to what extent you talk to him on this subject. You have to find the right combination of words and PV style to win him over...

Oh, and do not give up - it may take more than one try...

I vape in most public places and I've never asked anyones permission. I do stealth vape on airplanes because if they see you they will most likely say no vaping. I do vape somewhat openly in the airports themselves I just don't draw attention to them and keep a fairly low profile.

I've been on the road at a school for a few weeks and this is my 1st day in the office since May 11th. Right before I left, I gave a guy I work with some info on vaping and also gave him my V2 kit that I wasn't using to experiment with. Talking to him today and he's been off analogs for over 10 days!!!

He passed on the V2 to his daughter (paid me a fair price as well) and picked up a KGO for himself. I'm very happy that I helped a coworker make the switch and he's a very happy camper. Showed him the Epower this morning and explained the benefits of replaceable batteries - and I think he's going to buy one as well...

    Hi dKat56,
I have been vaping since 5/17/2010 and use Boge carto's exclusively.
Also use mostly vg and do not dilute it - it just takes a bit longer to "sink in" on a new carto.
I fill new cartos by dripping into them-blow on the carto gently to warm the vg and it goes into the carto quickly.
Then add a couple more drops and blow again until the carto is saturated.
If you put too much in, and it drips out, just use a kleenex and blow the excess out.
This way it only takes about 2 minutes to fill a new carto. easy !!
And I don't taste the poly fill either , am on a budget also.

Another thing, yes, I do slip with a real cig when the panic hits and have learned not to hate myself for self medicating.
My Doctor told me years ago, that the stress/panic attacks will kill me before the cigs would,
and not to even try quitting smoking.
But, I am about 95% vaping only, for 2 years now..

And also, yes, vaping is expensive at first, but fits my budget of approx $20.00 a month now.
( and really could go for months without spending anything-but-but want a new flavor -LOL !!)
    (excuse any typos, please)

Quick question about the Boge cartomizers. Do they have a "poly fill" taste at all? I'm deciding what I want to order for June. I had one pack of the Joye cartomizers but no syringe so I had to use the condom method and fill them from the bottom, but overall they haven't been bad. Since I'm having issues with my atomizers, I think June will be carto month for me, and trying to decide which of these 2 types I want to go with as my mainstay for June.

Thanks all - you're all wonderfully helpful! :)

Kat, you can use the boge cartos with or without a tank !!
Jewels uses them with a tank- I use them without.
Easy-and quicker for me and less cost also

    .
Whoops had a question about this and forgot to ask. You use tank AND cartos at the same time? I'm lost on this subject I think. Someone else mentioned something similar as well.

Hope you will keep us update on your CE6. I know they feel really well made. I felt like I was holding a quality piece of equipment when I got mine but by the next day one was leaking and it had a really really tight draw. The hairline cracks both top and bottom started growing and by the second day it leaked all the juice out. The other one had a looser draw and seemed to be working pretty well for a couple of days but the cracks on it started growing too and it too is now unusable. Hopefully I will be able to get new tubes for them.

On another note, The mailman brought my new CE3's from DV today. So far, I love them. Wish now I had ordered more. Will definately stock up on these.

I'm liking the Ce-6 much better after it set over night. I think the key to getting them to wick proper is to drip some drops down the center to saturate the wick. The wick is not exposed outside of the center tube and is perpindicular inside the tube with the coil wire looping up and back down. I haven't had any cracks yet. What type of juice were you using in the one that cracked?
