I hope everybody is having a safe and sane Sunday. I got to sleep in today...my black lab alarm didn't go off until 7:30 (usually 6). She's a character and thinks she can talk.

I've decided to go with another Gripper (at madvapes) because I have the batteries and the TGo battery burning in my pocket has me leary of them. Apollo has a 30 day money back dooda and if they don't soon respond to my phone and email messages I will return the entire kit.

I really like that Gripper because it has a big button. I'm just so scared of those batteries LOL

Hello Everyone. Gosh, reading all these stories of transition from cigs to vaping is pretty much the same as mine. I smoked two packs a day for 50 years (I'm 63). Started vaping last November and stopped smoking completely. Started with the stick "kits" and now use Ego-T battery with clearomizers and tanks. I want it as simple as possible.

Welcome Gabhla (pronounced Gab-la?) Nice to have you. You're story is exactly like mine except I was 1 PD and started vaping the day I got my 808 on Sept 1, 2011. I've been happily using the eGo-T with the Stardust. Yep, simple is good. I'm loving the journey and the feeling of freedom from what I am now calling the stinkies. Had NO idea just how bad I must have smelled!!

Ok, so bear in mind that I'm dealing with serious insomnia, so at this point, I'm not really responsible for much of anything I say or do.....but.......I first read this and thought it said.......big butts and more big butts! I thought......well, yeah, but technology is way too advanced if semi can see this!!! lol Did you mean cuz of them being 1100 mah? I have 2, so can use one if one is charging.

I didn't get 100 vg really. I was shooting for 70-30 pg/vg But I ordered a sample pack of (5) 3 ml bottles from bluemist. They only have 80/20 and all vg so I got 80/20 16 mg nic they sent me a sample of 8 mg nic all vg. So naturally this did nothing for me! So I had more of that left. Since I was running out of everything else, I decided to add what little was left of 2 of the 80/20's to the all vg. Flavors were complimentary. I thought maybe that way I could possibly get some throat hit out of the vg and be able to use it so I didn't run out. If I take a really really long draw of this, I can get a little bit of throat hit. But it has to be long enough that my cheeks turn inside out lol I will try adding a couple drops of distilled water to it see if that helps.

Hey there Debadoo. I noticed you started out saying that you had a problem with insomnia. I've read and was told that "smoking" disrupts sleep and that people shouldn't smoke for an hour before bed. I think it's the nicotine. Maybe it would help to not vape or at least lower your nic drastically for that hour before sleep? I have no idea if this really will help, but it's a thought.

You're very funny and that's so refreshing! Sounds like your experiences right now will be fodder for future posts! Your problems are all part of the journey that we're all on together. Stick with it and be sure to let us know how your cheeks are doing!!

    HI All!
I'll be 50 in August so I feel like I kinda fit in here, although some of you have been smoking longer than I have been alive! ;)
I've been vaping since Jan 4th this year, so I'm almost at the 6 month mark, the day I got my Ego-T was the day I smoked my last analog. It took me about another month to convince my wife to make the switch, and now she's glad she did.

Now, I'm not saying vaping will help to improve your health, but compared to cigs how can it not? I've been on Blood Pressure Meds for about 9 years, and about 45 days ago, I had a routine doctors appointment, which ended with my doctor telling me she didn't think I needed the blood pressure meds anymore, but she gave me the usual obligatory doctors disclaimer about keeping an eye on it just to be sure. I'm fortunate enough that my work, a casino resort on the Gulf Coast, has one of the Blood pressure machines like you find at a pharmacy, so I do check it nearly daily, and it's still 128/70. But she did tell me that the drop is most likely because I had stopped smoking cigarettes.
So after almost 6 months of vaping my ego-t, and reading so many things about the VV's, I broke down and started with a LavaTube, which is pretty amazing, I'm still working out which carto is best for my tank, but I"m sure the combo will come along.
I have also managed to get 3 of the younger guys in my office to give up analogs, and start vaping, and we all DIY our juices, so there is never a shortage here of something new and delicious to try!!
Thanks for letting me share! :)

Welcome Hop! So nice to hear that your medical situation improved. I haven't had medical problems connected with smoking, but my thyroid medication suddenly dropped. Hmmm. Could that be due to not smoking? I don't know, but I hope so. It gives me support in my thinking that not smoking has helped me physically. I recently gave blood and my BP was down to 100/60 which is normal for me. I know I don't wheeze anymore when I go to bed. The last time I had to fill out one of those medical forms I filled in that I was a non-smoker. Just because nicotine will be found in my system does NOT mean that I'm a smoker!! Isn't it fun to introduce a new person to vaping? Imagine what it's going to be like even 5 years from now as people discover vaping! Good luck to you in your journey!

The new mod from Raidy will be more like a cigaret. You do not push a button anymore, instead you regulate the amount of vape produced with the draw on the mod. It can be set at 100 % and if you then draw lighter you get less vape production.
At least thats how I understand it. It might hit the market late to end of ths year when the patent is through.
I will wait for the reviews but that should be an very exciting development in the vaping world.

It is sad though with the pace of the new stuff coming out. I can not keep up financially. Just can not afford it.

I agree on waiting, many (new) genesis attys on market have flaws (to be useful to me). Each has good points, just which out weighs which for the individuals needs.

I purchased 1 that is battery and atty all connected, so far has not worked for me
