dayworks - now this is a rebuildable (he he). It's called the TBC-1, a Chinese knockoff of the Bulli A2. Got this one for a few bucks in a co-op. Last night I tried it as shipped and it sucked, actually I sucked nothing but hot air from it. So today, I did some forum reading and youtube watching and tonight I rebuilt it.

Mike - I dub you - "God of the Rebuild!" A little wire, a little cotton, some duct tape, and wallah a new tank! Just like my hero Red.

Yep but lots of people say the Viva has muted taste.

I was very disappointed in mine at first (mini vivi nova long wicks) because I got no flavor, just vapor. The longer I use it the more flavor I'm getting. The short wicks didn't seem to have that problem. It can be confusing with all the choices we have. On the other hand, aren't we lucky we have so many choices so people can find the ones that make them happy.

Mike, correct me if I'm wrong here, but I thought the ss mesh had to be oxidized to prevent shorting?

yiddle - the SS wick w/ the coil wrapped around it, is oxidized. The other piece I used to make the tube to wick from the tank to the coil is not oxidized. No need to oxidize that one as it doesn't touch the coil. Just the little tuff of cotton sticking out rests against the coil.

That's cool, MikeE! I think that knowledge will become invaluable after the powers that be come down hard on the eCig community and we all have ended up making our own vaping tools, OR perhaps when the SHTF—whichever comes first.

As long as I don't need a metal lathe or soldering iron to keep on vapin' when the gov or the zombies attack, I'll be OK. Never used a lathe and I'm terrible with a soldering gun.

I wouldn't use any glue. I would just get new tips. Most glues give off gas when heated and Super Glue type fumes will permanently destroy chunks of lung tissue within seconds. Too much of it is capable of killing a person in around the same time frame. It could be argued that the heat generated by vaping heads is not high enough to produce dangerous levels of vapors from those glues. To that I recommend that you read my sig. Mis dos centavos.

I've been told that Gorilla 2 part epoxy (not super glue) is food safe after it cures 24 hrs. Know anything about this day?

dear Mike!

I'm talking about: Vivi Tank :

I've got a couple of these Vivi's too. I only filled one and vaped it a little while as delivered. My 1st impression is that it works OK out of the package. My juice tasted a little different, not in bad way, just different. I need to try it again before doing some kind of mod/rebuild to it. So far my only complaint is that the tank is a really tight fit. Takes patience getting it on/off.
