So...I decided to go ahead and try my mechanical mod, and I am SO happy I got it. Works really well, button being where it is would take some getting used to but not hard to press. There is a little ring under the button you screw upward as a safety to keep it from firing in a pocket or wherever. Got it for $23.99 and worth every penny in my opinion.

And I took a pic :) I'm not a great photographer though

I was at mc donalds yesterday morning to get some coffee before work(my window was frozen up) so i went in lol....and i seen a few older dudes vapeing i was like holy crap!...I live in a little town,i went to talk to them and showed them my device...really good dudes one was 68 and the other guy was 70!!!! I said how did you guys get into this, they said there grand kids got them some for christmas, and they didnt no anything else but they enjoyed them, and they have been smoke for 20 days....i gave them a ton of cards i sometimes carry with me,and told them about a local shop here in my town....to me its nice to bump into a fellow vapor from time to time!...they both had tanks set up and lava tubes....there grandkids are sending them cartos and juices,im hopeing they try the local shop to give them some diff things to try incase they get burnt out....pretty cool dudes!

That's fabulous! I'm so glad to hear that! And it was the grandkids who got them started? Amazing. I've had more resistance from younger people - I assumed it was because they didn't think vaping was a "cool" as smoking. And McDonalds was ok with it. Amazing!

Nice Kat! Did you get that deal in a co-op or from a vendor?

I got it from a Vendor Mike. They ran out but that was the 2nd time they had em. It shows a price of $29.99 but then a discount auto-applies when it's put in the cart, brings the price down to $23.99

    http://www................../China-GG_p_149.html

I bet there might be co-op though. It's called China GG or GG Clone. Some peeps have commented that their threading is a bit "crunchy" but mine is super smooth.

Hi Kat56... may I ask some questions? Where did you get the two Egos? The ones on each end and is the one on the right and 18650? And can you use an 18350 in it also? Also, are they both regulated? Do they look like brass tops in person? I'm trying to decide and have been researching for weeks. Right now I'm looking at boxes from Mr E Liquids, Madvapes and The Foxy Box because I want regulated and of the three I don't know if Madvapes is but I spent a long time looking at tubes first and still might get one depending on what you say. I really like my ego passthroughs and my mini vv true passthroughs but I'm trying to stock up with what the FDA can't control... ie: mods that just operate batteries so my only purchase will be batteries. Thanks and love your collection.

Patkin, Those 2 are Ego-T Mods. The larger tube uses 18650 battery and the smaller tube uses 18350. Both can be switched back and forth between constant 3.3 volt regulated output mode and unregulated output mode.

The control head you see on each of them in the pic is the new type that just came out. I also have the older type. Here are some links to both styles. The new type control unit will work on both tube sizes, but the older control unit will NOT work on the new short tube.

Joye EGO-T 2 MOD - Short tube WITH new style control uni

Joyetech EgO-T2 18350 Battery Tube - Short Battery Tube only

NEW Joyetech eGo-T 2 Upgraded FLAT TOP Control Head [gv-eGoTMod ControlHead-FLATTOP] - $15.95 : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more - New style control unit only. (currently out of stock - so far this is the only vendor I've found that offers the control unit alone)

Joyetech eGo-T Mod Battery Control Unit - MyFreedomSmokes.com - Old style control unit (may have the FLAT flush button OR the protruding oval button - you do not get to choose)

    Joyetech eGo-T Mod Tube for 18650 Battery - MyFreedomSmokes.com - 18650 battery tube only

Joyetech eGo-T Mod 18650 2200mAh Device - MyFreedomSmokes.com - Full long tube unit with battery - Joyetech eGo-T Mod 18650 2200mAh Device (this would be with the older type control unit)

@ Old C - With the Chrome Lambo does it have any drawbacks beside the stares in public? . Like the looks of Innokin iTaste MVP 2600mAh Box APV Kit too, but agree with you about wanting a replaceable battery.

@ Kat56 The website (https://www................../China-GG) would not work for your newest addition. Looks nice! The button seems odd being on the bottom, but I am use to it being on top. Do like the looks of the Ego T-Mod (18650batt) and it would work well with my Mini VN's.

@ MikeE3 - Thanks for you IMBO! Good to know about the grippers weak 510 connection & voltage issues. They currently have a mini silver 2.0 blemish for $140. I have been unable to find the difference between the 2.0 and 2.5. Any ideas? I currently use two 1000mah twists with a 650 mah backup. Longer batt life is important due to the fact that without notice I could end up working an 18hr shift be off 6 then back on for another 12hrs. I do like the looks of the Billetbox and it would fit nicely in a shirt pocket! It will be interesting to read the reviews on them.

@ BacsiBob The XL3 says it is VV but does not guarantee 4.1 v (battery?). One of my blends I use works best at 4.0v. Also says Fits most eGo and 510 Joye ego/510 series? Will it work with my Mini VN?

@ Yiddle - The things they do to penalize a certain class of people never fails to amaze me! But at they same time they will not make cigarettes illegal. I guess it all depends upon who is greasing who's palm!

@ Gloria - Thank you for the easy way to Quote multiple posts and the good laugh with the flagpole and your banner - $$ Saved Haha!

As far as any of these mods would you buy the batts and charger from them or are there better batt/charges sold by a different supplier?

Also I am going to buy 2000ml of nic juice from a source quoted here and am looking for a source for glass storage bottles. I am sure that it is in this thread somewhere but I missed it. I never thought I would DIY my own juice but with the possibility of new regulations it might take time to straighten everything out. I can only hope that this issue will be put on the back burner and then forgotten about!

Thanks to everyone for the help and guidance.

Hi Michael :) Sorry the link did not work. Will try to figure out a better way to post so it can be seen. Yes, I love my Ego-T Mod 18650 battery ones, and use every day. I use a regular size VN on mine, but I can't think of any reason your mini wouldn't work. I usually go with the 1.8 head, but the 2.4 works good also.

I shop around and compare when getting batteries or chargers, and keeping shipping in mind, make a decision as to which is most cost effective that way.

Okay, trying another way to show where I got the China GG mechanical. Assuming this link works, from home page, click Mod Spare Parts on left hand side - the China GG is first item on that page.

    http://www................../

Wow - doesn't look like that one will work either. Michael feel free to PM me if you want to - maybe I can PM you a link if you still want to look at it.

Here is the info about the China GG - no link needed :D

This is the china version of the GG. It is telescopic and can accept 18650 batteries, or smaller. There are also vent holes drilled in both the top and bottom portion. It is made from chrome plated brass, which makes it much lighter than stainless, and has good conductivity. We recommend using the Panasonic protected 18650 battery in this mod. This mod is not recommended for novice users.

The only difference in the Provari 2.0 and 2.5 is cosmetic. They added a patterned set of groves on the 2.5's as compared to just the vertical grooves on the 2.0. Many people do not like the looks of the new ones. For the time being Provari is offering both styles on the non-blemished ones. Just about eveyone who has bought and commented on the blem's have been very happy with them. Some folks couldn't even find the 'blem' spot.

Batt's from RTD Vapor and Super-T manufacturing are consistently good prices (without spending a lot of time searching for sales). I've gotten all my batts from these 2 vendors. Xtar makes a pretty good reasonably priced charger. I have a Pila and 2 Xtar WP2s. The Xtar comes with 2 adapers to charge a 18350. You need 2 of these per 18350 so get 2 addition ones. It also comes with a car cord 12V adapter. Never had need to use that but may be handy sometime - like a power failure for the house.

Patkin, I took a couple pics with the older type control units to give you an idea how they differ from the newer one. Light is not great so I hope you'll be able to see them well enough.

If I can help you with any other questions, don't hesitate to holler. I use these mods every day and love them.

Thank you so much Kat for the links and this. This researching is getting overwhelming and you've really helped me. I looked at the Freedom Smokes ones early last week... that's how long I've been at this... but had no idea you could change their T into a T2 by buying a new head. Thanks again. I may ditch the box idea and go with this as I've been really happy with all my egos.

MichaelB - I got my nic and glass bottles from RTS Vapes
    E-Juice Glass & Plastic Bottles

Hi Janet. Have you bought from My Freedom Smokes? They have the same prices and it comes in an amber glass bottle. I haven't used what I have from them yet as its only stash but am wondering about taste/quality between the two. Thanks.
