I haven't tried anything from Capella's, or Vapingzone yet. Are they much different from TFA, or FA?

Caps and VZ are my two fav flav sources! I do have a couple of TFA recipes that I vape daily (Pear and Juicy Peach). BUT, I've yet tried to replace the TFA flavs with VZ. Oh, yeah, TFA Pear is really a pleasant pardner for other flavs.

The VZ SC (super concentrate) flavs are just soooo easy to mix!

As for Caps, I'll only use their Apple Pie and Green Apple for my Iffy's GAP (Green Apple Pie)! Don't foresee substituting those any time soon.

Am considering trying some Natures Flavor for my jinxed flav attempts (see my previous post).

Hey, taste is soooo individual! I've tried some renown recipes and thought, "What da...?" So I play with da flavs I have and strive to make my taste buds happy...

That Bahama Mama sounds good. I make one with equal parts strawberry, banana and pineapple. It's really, really good. Next time I'm gonna try some coconut in it.

I have a blueberry pom flavored water that tastes good. Maybe that would be a good combo.

Anybody who likes fruit flavors may like a tropical recipe called Bahama Mama. I found it in the DIY section here. I made up about 10 mil the other day and it's already gone. Time to make a bigger bottle. :)

I used what I had on hand...
2% mandarin (VZ)
3% mango (VZ)
5% pineapple (TFA)
7% coconut (Capella)
VZ = vapingzone super concentrated flavors

If you have the flavors in different brands, give it a try. Here's the original recipe.
Bahama Mama:
5% Orange (Flavour Art)
4% Mango (Flavour Art)
5% Pineapple (Flavor Art)
7% Pina Colada or Coconut (Capella)

Well flintlock, I'm probably the wrong person to ask. Mainly because I haven't done an apple to apple (pun intended) comparison. :)

I did a lot of reading in the DIY section and bought the flavors that most people recommended as the best from each company, so I ended up with flavors from all 4 companies. Which reminds me....I have flavors that I haven't even tried yet.

If you have mostly TFA & FA and you're happy with them, you probably don't need to get the same type of flavors from a different company.

Sorry...that wasn't much help was it?

Currently I am trying to burn through all of my flavs. I figure I still have at least 4 - 6 months worth to burn through. When done - I plan on starting from scratch with a better laid out plan with flavorings. I have a few now that are just aging until I have nothing better to vape. I also figure by that time - we should know where DIY is going in the vaping world. Nic - I am set for a long long time, but since flavs are always going to be around I am building on my game plan for this side of the equation.

I already know that my taste buds are never totally coming back. I also know that when I vape through one device a certain juice taste muted, but through another device it blows my taste buds out of the water. To do this the right way I would need different mixes for different devices.

Same with nic levels. For example with these T3's - I cannot taste a very powerfully mixed coffee / brandy mix that is powerfully flavorful in my cartos, but at the same time - the 18mg mixture is to strong in the T3's and is just right in he cartos...

These complications are one of the reasons that I gave up on finding nirvana with my juices. I have tried it and I can not vape plain juice in my T3's, but I could in my cartos... I will always need at least something to cut the plain taste of nic liquid...

What???? Fran is going to try a fruit recipe? I can't wait to hear if you like it!!! :)

Got to get a couple flavors and I'll be sure to let you know. Chances of liking it aren't real good. Maybe I shouldn't put it that way cause I really like many fruit flavors just have no desire to vape them.

On the contrary, it does help. I like FA and TFA flavors, and having to try so many vendors will only confuse this old brain.

What am I missing here Semi? It sounds like the T3s just aren't doing it for you flavor wise. So why keep using them? I'm not trying to be a brat...I'm just curious. :)

OK folks can ya'll post a couple good fruit recipes for me please. I'm going to give the fruity stuff a shot again.

I guess I got 'cha thinking about fruit flavors but I am gonna wait for the more experienced DIY'ers to step up to the plate here. I know they know much more than I do. :)

    Fran,

Thanx to Janet's long ago post, how 'bout some Janet's Heaven:

Since the two individual flavs below are also my daily vapes, I mix each flav independently and then combine 50/50.

Blueberry (VZ Super Concentrate) at 2.5%.
    Pear (TPA) at 12%.
1 drop lemon juice per 3ml joose. And no, you do not taste the LJ.

If ya don't have these flavs, I'll gladly send ya a sample of da JH to determine if ya want to $pend da monies for flavs later. Just send me a PM with your snail mail addy and nic/PG/VG level ya vape.

Oh my goodness. I am in vaping heaven right now. I really like my DIY pear, mixed @12% 18mg nic 60pg/40vg. I also kinda like my pomegranate mixed @ the same proportions. I mixed the 2 flavors 50/50. This stuff is so unbelievably good. I actually got a bit light headed vaping it. It is just that good. Vaping at 3.7 in a little CE3 clearo.

Janet mixed up some Pear last week and it's basically all I've been vapin' since. I think it's finally broken the hold tobacco flavors have had on me.

    @tdavids
Welcome!!! And congrats on 1 month smoke free!!!

    @vernhall
Welcome!!! So glad to hear that eliminating so many cigarettes is helping you health wise!!

    @inquiring mind
Good luck with convincing hubby you need a Mustang convertible to quit smoking!! Let us know how that goes. :)
It's great that your inquiry brought forth all of these great tips. How long have you been vaping now?

    tumbleweed
    - what I found to help greatly was to have the pv VERY easily accessible... Ie cup holder, a lanyard around my neck.... same for the morning, right on the night stand.
    - just vape like crazy in a few days the urges subsided greatly
    - I found cold turkey with a coffee flavor finally was the trick

    Mike
    - set time limit's to wean myself
    - remained committed in my mind to stop
    - Then one day a few months after I started vaping - I just said 'no more'

    hvac
    - Only time worked for me. Once I got through the first 3 weeks I was good for the most part.

Gloria - this post was just so organized, it reminded me of being back in the office and reading one of those infamous executive summaries before heading off to a meeting.

I may have to try some pomegranite flavoring. I also need to grab some dragon fruit. They sound yummy. TPA apple is a favorite of mine to mix with. Pear and apple are really good together. I suggested it a while back. Remember my Pearl juice.

Pear and apple sounds good. Janet are ya listening?

This one sounds good too, maybe w/o the coconut (don't like the hint of coconut in anything). A flavor we get is called Maui, it's a fruity blend that's been a household fav since we started vaping.

Okay, Feb 10, I turn 60yrs old. Am I old yet? Also on Feb 11, I will have been vaping
for 3 years without any relapse..Lucky I guess. Or maybe just the right method for
    me...Ego..Later and Enjoy, PaulCincy

Nice to hear from you Paul and really nice to hear you've been smoke free and vaping for 3 years. Congrats!

OK folks can ya'll post a couple good fruit recipes for me please. I'm going to give the fruity stuff a shot again.

Maybe start off with a shot of Peach Snapps to relax your taste buds then get start on taste testing the new fruit flavs.

Hello and welcome! Are you old yet at 60? Well, that depends, I've known a few people who were very old at 40. Our Older Folks just refers to people who have had more experience than the young'ns, the number doesn't matter. Wow, vaping for 3 years, Congratulations! You've seen a lot of changes in the world of vaping. What are you using these days?
