This could be a game-changer in Europe at least -> Europarliament Scolds Visa, MasterCard, PayPal For Killing WikiLeaks Donations; Initiates Regulation - Falkvinge on Infopolicy
I have never really had much of a problem with PayPal, but I really don't use them much unless absolutely
necessary.
I was just looking on Ebay and I see that there are a great number of US based sellers that accept PayPal
for e-cig equipment but none for the already mixed liquids. The only liquids I see on Ebay are PG and VG
but no nic e-liquids - so I am guessing that because of the nature of the nicotine, they won't permit that
but are permitting sales and payments for equipment. I have seen some kits on Ebay as well and some
that have prefilled cartridges.
I also found another thread here about the matter with a link to an answer that had been in PayPal but
appears to be no longer there:
NOTE: This link is no longer available. Redirect Page Error: "This Answer is No Longer Available"
https://www.paypal.com/helpcenter/ma...115&isSrch=Yes
While at that page in the PayPal Help Center, I began typing in various combinations of words regarding
e-cigs (e.g., E Cig, E-Cig, E Cigarette, Electronic Cigarette, etc.) and nothing came up at all... not even
for the word nicotine or even tobacco.
I will continue to look and will inform if I find anything else.![]()
Paypal SUCKS. They charge for stuff that should be free. Just dont use them.
Any half decent vendor will at least allow direct account transfers for payments. Most should allow, cheques etc, and have multiple options for payment. If they dont, ask them to.
Whenever I see some business has paypal, I think, jeezz, right now I am going to have to do a direct to account transfer, or send them a cheque , or whatever.
I never use it these days. I completely refuse.
Back when I did once or twice, I noticed all these damn service fees popping out of nowhere. I thought ....Yeah right, like I am going to use a totally pointless service that charges me for breathing....![]()
There are much better options.
Just use something with a standard, simple, no frills, user fee free, secure credit card processing, or do a direct to account transfer using your online bank (or send a cheque....whatever)
Theres no need for some complex handler, to act as some kinda secondary banking system, just to make an online payment, or receive money.
Especially when they charge folks through the nose to use it. Even severe laziness could not inspire me to support such utter nonsense.
The one vendor I use ATM that uses paypal....I just do a bank transfer. Why be charged fees for something I can do myself for free?
I understand all the arguments against using Paypal here, but what about security?
I too woulod prefer not to use them for the reasons you all have listed, but I value my credit card security too much to give the details out to every vendor I purchase from. Most vendors could have their databases hacked by a hack savvy teen in minutes. Believe me, I have acquaintances who could compromise their systems in a heartbeat. I bet most haven't spent much on IT security. Every time you give out your card details you are increasing your risk. You have no idea who has access to each vendors DB. Staff, IT techs, family members, who knows?
Personally, I prefer to give the details to one party only who spend millions on protecting their databases and hope that that one doesn't get hacked. I have not given my credit card details to a single vendor and will not. If I can't use a third-party payment system then I will not buy from them. It means I miss out on some good stuff but it's just not worth the risk to me.
Paypal p1ss me off, but I won't cut off my nose to spite my face.

i wish people would stand up to the FDA, this is bull honky. PayPAl is a huge company and they should stand up for their rights!
GotVapes and one other vendor at least (I forget who) takes Dwolla, which is a kind of pre-loaded PayPal. Much cheaper, INCLUDING for the vendor, since they make their money on the interest they get while your pre-loaded money is in their bank. I keep about $75 in my account since that's about high-end of any normal ecig-related puchase I'd make.
I also put "Have you considered accepting Dwolla" into the Comments now when I buy something.
Dwolla? How do you find them?
Maybe the vaping community should set up their own bank?![]()
