Well, if it's of any help, I found the AW battery manufacturer in China, and while they don't actually give the C, they do give the Amps as 24.

Here's what's kinda interesting... they make a battery they brand AWeit... which happens to have the PRECISE same labeling as the above AW... and it said 10 amps. Sooooo... the places that say 10a are selling AWeit batteries with EXACTLY the same outer casing as the AW right down to the logo... heh.

umm there was a memo going around that there are fake AW IMRs out there, a while back….

but if you google AW IMR 1600 10C … you will see numerous citings…

back 2010… all specs i ever saw were 10C.

Andrew Wang = AW (you can PM the guy on an order forum) or just a myth; now W Weit…anyway what they are purported to do is pick random Panny's that meet the criteria (IMR Safe Chem) and label them AW… good stuff, but lengths do vary… thats why.

hmmmm. There are quite a lot of fakes out there too. I don't know too much about that aspect. (but google does)

I see. I wonder if that post being from 2011 means anything. I mean, I wonder if they've changed their specs. One (you) could post in his thread and ask, I imagine. . . . . . .

done… ………. and now i see why you have so many posts… my goodness 2012, and all good stuff too of course :) P you don't sleep.

Um . . . .. I'm not quite at the begging stage yet. Just annoyed with my system, and PMing folks one at a time (I can't really PM 4 people, get two of them all excited, and then dump one off a bridge, btw). Anyway, if it were an "any takers" kin'a situation . .. . Ratchet up there already called shotgun on it.

So, it hasn't reached "any takers" stage yet?

Okies. Remember you asked for it:). When I got them, I almost fainted. So I wrote him to thank him and tell him I know that I caused him extra work but I appreciated it... and to see if he had some more violet pieces for Vwls and Valheli...

He said no, those were 2 of the best pieces he'd ever seen himself, and it was a good thing I appreciate them :D

Size comparison (to billetbox and mini provari):

Unpolished bone dry backs (the faces are fully polished, they are smooth as glass):

The mess on my desk, they look better than any mods I have... but uh... they are HUGE:

And... I think he sold me his color samples... hehe. The sides are even more beautiful than the faces... they are the 'ribbon' sides and even without polish are iridescent. Actually, they don't even resemble wood... they're like some alien planet thingies... I don't know that I even want them carved up anymore... they're pretty darn amazing looking art by themselves!

OMG; and I thought my piece of Box Elder Burl was sexy; Kinda like comparing the 4H apple queen to Miss America... The dark purple one is my fav. If that was in blue, with all that twisty turny marbling... OMG well that's all I can say. Stunning!

C

No disrespect intended to the 4H Apple Queens... just sayin...

I was looking through that batt comparator site that Mundy linked and it seemed like the Samsung INR18650-20R 2000mAh was the king of the crop, the AW IMR 1600 was slightly less but a close runner up of all the batteries tested on that site. What I look for is "Max Continuous Discharge" rating and how long the battery takes to discharge to 3.7V at 10A (a 0.42 ohm coil). I don't care about the performance specs after 3.7V because that is when I am changing out the bat (a fresh batt @ 4.2V with the 0.42ohm coil = 42Watts, when the batt reaches 3.7V it now is only 32Watts or a 25% decrease in power).

It is important to note to those who have not had a fully mechanical mod before is the non-mechanical mods/tubes have voltage regulators and they will consistently output 4V(or whatever you set it to) the entire time until the battery dies at 2.xxV. In this case you would want to have the highest mah rating. But a fully mechanical mod, like the oliver, will get weaker over time following the discharge charts.

These charts don't tell the full story because they show the batt drain over a constant current, where ecigs are constant resistance. Using the 0.42ohm coil as an example, fully charged will use 10A, and at 3.7V will be 8.8A. So our batt will last longer than the charts show, but the charts are great for comparing the qualities of different batts.
