Ok guys and gals, I finally got to setup my Penny V2.
Vapor and TH I will not comment on, because well it is unbelievable how much vapor this produces!! for vapor junkies this can be a dream atomizer.
Now it all boils down to the flavor.
First attempt, I was gonna bin this thing
. My setup was ready ribbon wire with silica. Then I remembered that it is been a long time since I vaped silica, so i took out the coil and took a ready wire made it as a micro coil 1.5mm and put cotton through. Now the real tests began. the problem with testing that at some point you are over-nicked, and you have vapor's tongue. So additional reviews will follow hopefully soon.
First I made sure with the supplied air controller tip there is no air leak. Well there was but not noticeable and I don't think the air leaking is contributing to any problems.
First test, on a vamo: Because the Vamo has raised 510 connection, you get maximum air. I was able to get the same experience with a drip tip and no drip tip although with a drip tip the air is cooler which is normal. The flavor I would say the same, although warmness contributes to the flavor depending on your liquid. I am both mouth hitter and lung hitter so i believe i can judge this thing objectively. The thing is with maximum air, if your setup cannot keep up with the air coming in, you will have decrease in flavor. What happens is that if too much air is in the mix it will cool off the coil more, decreasing flavor and vapor + you will be sucking more air than usual which will also decrease the flavor. I tweaked my setup to be a beast with the ready wire, made it close together as much as possible increase the wattage to 13, and with lung hits this was way more vapor than what I would liked. Flavor is still not my optimal compared to my other setups but I blame the wire, I will have to try my usual 28ga kanthal.
Ok, remove my drip tip and put the air control tip. Something is wrong. I can't put my finger on it. It is fake air, but where is it coming from? beats me. I kept on vaping and vaping on it (full open position) until I got somehow similar experience to the regular drip tip. I am not sure anymore. I believe the two slits in this tip are doing something, cooling the vapor and reducing it somehow more maybe or the fact that this tip is not in direct contact with the mouthpiece also cools the vapor. But definitely this tip stays cool for a long time. I will have to beat this tip and understand why it behaves this way. As for it controlling the draw, it does work but in a non natural way, meaning it does play with the pressure and before solving the previous problem I cannot give a judgement. I will have to test more to understand more.
With JustGG: I will not say much, but better experience all around. If air is completely closed in JustGG, although you can vape it, for me it is a tight draw. Flavor is better with all the options I talked about above and I think this is due to the control of air from the bottom. Will have better comparison results with a 28ga though.
This is my take for now. I will let you know.
EDIT: Note that I vape complex flavor liquids that I DIY, (with more than 7 flavors) so for a tobacco liquid or non flavored obviously, I see how this can be the best atomizer on the market off the shelf.

checked all of my records and my cov account no record of preorder.
checked cc statement my penny preorder went in at the same time that someone was using my cc info in a airport in Germany (no i was not in Germany
)
the cc company shut down my card and canceled all purchases ( the only other one was my penny preorder)
by the time i figured out what happened i missed the e smoke guru extras and missed the cov extras.
the perfect storm of cc failure and missed opportunity! LOL
i contacted cov and bruce was very nice but out of stock and couldn't help (cov did nothing wrong, and again bruce responded immediately)
for the first time in almost 2 years i don't have the latest greatest GG apon release
my family is healthy and i have many other beautiful ggs to keep me busy so all is well, but..
when will the next run be happening?

Yep, the only lingering issue I have is that the drip tip gets very hot, to the point where I have to wait for it to cool off.
Since nobody else has mentioned this behavior, I assume this is something with either the mod (the Super-T) or my build. Can't really say anything with just one build, so I'll try a few more builds this weekend and use it on justGG and some other mods.
I am not having the airflow experience voiced by others here, though. The AC works perfectly.

Okay so I received the Penelope today after an arduous wait. And broke the adjustable pin within 2 hours of toying with it. Not through readjusting the center pin but merely by screwing the atomizer on a mod. I don't know what the pin is made of but it must be a close relative to glass.
Set up was easier than the v1 especially with the adjustable pin and the air slots.
After setup I attached the atomizer to my Caravela. I used the atomizer for about an hour. I then removed the Pv2 from the mod and found that the 'legs' of the pin had slightly bent. I decided to try to CAREFULLY bend them back. The pins snapped. Fortunately the pin still could reach the mod pin and the Pv2 still worked.
The Pv2 gives a nice vape but it's really cool. Even with a standard 510 drip tip.
I'm done tablet typing now. Just had to voice my displeasure with the broken pin. That doesn't seem to be gg quality...

Yet another week has passed and still no Penelope at my front door and still no explaination. I can't believe this, I am beyond pi$$ed. At the very least COV should have sent them priority mail and not by bicycle courier. I am going away for a month next week and I never dreamed I'd be doing it without the Penelope I payed for 7 weeks ago.
Your not the only one that broke the pin...I did too.
Didn't even get a puff out of it before it happened.
Here is the problem. The 510 hole has to stay the same. It's a 510. If the air intake is going to be made bigger, you're going to sacrifice somewhere. Remove more metal to open the hole, create large slots to let air in, weaken the part.
If you want it sturdier, you have to leave more metal on. That would decrease the air hole since you can't go outward.

Oh. And I too am hobbling on a 1/2 broken brass. It just lacks the strength of the ithaka brass pin.

So actually it's not possible to prevent Penelope V2 from breathing from the sides and controlling air exclusively with Just GG? I suppose this would work with the V1, right?
Right, Although JustGG cap is completely flat, air still finds its way. This is due to that the bottom channels of Penny V2 go too much towards the center of the bottom cap and almost reach the air holes. The draw cannot be overtight, for me it is too tight, for others it might be just right or maybe still airy, I cannot say for sure because it depends on your preference. With a grain of salt you can say that it is as half tight as the open draw. a Just GG is a great device whether you get it for Penny V2 or not. You should get one. All what I can say is that Penny V2 vapes better on JustGG.
I will post a follow up of my Penny V2 experience. I am getting great flavor now even of a Vamo. Don't lose hope.
I'm assuming you're talking about the air slots in the bottom of V2 making air come in from the sides....While I have the V2, I can not use it until I get the bottom pin replaced, so I comment on the performance. But this came in the mail for me today: Tank Air Flow Controller And using it with the V1, it tightened up the draw of the air. On the V1 the air comes from the center...but it does that on V2 as well. The difference is that the V1 doesn't have the bottom air slots.
ask esmokeguru to send you a new one for free Ira. As for the quality, its not that. Its because legs of AD pin are thin. Maybe I have to make fatter legs. And its not that they broke because you screw it on your mod, its because legs were bended before that
