The question is, which one? The only pod system I ever tried was the juul when it first came out, but I decided it wasn't for me.
I bought a myBlu the other day because it was $1. It was actually great and saw vids on youtube to refill. It's great.

Hey I love the octo-mesh CloudZ headSo you're saying those of us who haven't used a pre-built in many years should just stay away from those kinds of questions?
That's mostly what I do, 'cause I don't have a dang clue why someone might not be getting good results from the latest octo-mesh CloudZ head.![]()
Well, I spend less time building and mixing than I used to spend running to the store for smokes, and I bought my smokes by the carton, not the pack.![]()
My main motivation for moving to building coils rather than buying them was to ensure that the FDA would never be able to push me back to smoking. But that was also back in the day when all the pre-built heads were still using silica wicks, and yes, I found that building my own coils with cotton or rayon wicks really was much better. I suppose that pre-built coils have gotten better since then, but I've never looked back.I bought mine by the carton, too, but it takes me ten minutes to go buy that. Took me an hour to clean and rewick my tanks, and that’s when they don’t need new coils.
I’m learning to do this because I think it’s a good life skill, and finding replacement coils gets to be a drag. Is the flavor that much better, or the savings so good it’s worth it? Um, not really imho.
But the point is, if someone asks advice, I’m not gonna tell them to do something they clearly say they don’t want to do.

As for time, yep 10 minutes to go buy a carton, roughly every 5th day. But I get two to four weeks out of the wick in my most-used setup, and I can clean and re-wick it in under 10 minutes. It might take an additional 5 minutes if I decide to build a new coil, which I do about three or four times per year. So I definitely spend less time fussing with my vapes than I used to spend getting smokes.
I do understand that some people simply don't wish to be bothered. I just don't know what advice to give them.
Opposite for me; I abandoned factory coils long before I ever made any juice. It’s funny, I started to diy a few months into vaping and felt very proficient in a couple weeks. Building is much more of a learning curve for me.
I think a lot of has to do with what rabbit holes other interests have lead them down and continue to lead them down and how much time is devoted to those other interests.Opposite for me; I abandoned factory coils long before I ever made any juice.
But as I keep saying here: People are different, as are their journeys down the rabbit hole, and some simply don't want to go very deep. That's OK. To each his (or her) own vape.
I can make a gallon of premium eliquid for the cost of a single halibut.
I made some halibut flavored juice in honor of this thread. A gallon in fact. It's very nice.
I love prebuilt coils on my RTAs. I suck at making coils. I'd rather buy my claptons, hives and aliens and just pop them in.this is obviously just MY pet peeve but I’ve had it since I was a noobie looking for help...
It’s not helpful when someone esp a noobie comes here to ask for help with their coils/atty and everyone chimes in about building their own coils and how much better they are & how much money they’ll save etc etc etc...Then a long list of tweets about which RTA would be good for a beginner. Blah blah blah
So cool you build your own coils. Awesome. But not everyone wants to or can. Or are just starting out and are stressed enough.
So instead try helping with their questions. If they’re interested in building they’ll be reading about RBAs eventually unless they live under a rock and then they will be asking about building.
Rant over. Flame away.
BTW I LOVE building my own coils but I also LOVE my drop in coil tanks too.

I still use drop in heads to go out and about. I work from home, so there's always the odd rebuildable built in.So you're saying those of us who haven't used a pre-built in many years should just stay away from those kinds of questions?

But some days I'm having a bad day and those drop in keep me from stinkies. So, basically, yeah, some still vape drop ins.
