For what it's worth, I've gotten 4 of my friends who neither smoke nor vape to sign the petition. It's no skin off of their back and as they explained to me.....they'd rather pass by storefronts full of people vaping rather than passing through a cloud of smoke.

So add 4 more to the total.
This is exactly what it is going to take.

Our friends needs to sign this petition.
Our family needs to sign this petition.

And yes, even our coworkers should be approached about signing this petition.

Will it help? It doesn't matter if it will help.
It will get the FDA to take notice and think about what they intend to do.

And more importantly, it will give us all practice at taking some kind of action.
And when the "deeming regulations" are proposed, we better be ready to take it to another level.

But cultivating those around us to get used to participating will make that effort easier down the road.

Thing that makes me angry about whitehouse.gov is, they don't really care what the people say. They do as they please and it's almost always not in our best interests.

Also, they've changed the petition levels to 100,000 signatures before they'll respond. Fortunately, this petition was started on January 14th

AS OF JANUARY 15, 2013:

To cross the first threshold and be searchable within WhiteHouse.gov, a petition must reach 150 signatures within 30 days.

To cross the second threshold and require a response, a petition must reach 100,000 signatures within 30 days.

Obviously you didn't get the Memo

If you disagree with anything coming from the White House's pulpit...
You will be branded as some kind of UN-patriotic radical conspiracy theorist.

Electronic cigarette petition started January 14th, signature threshold increased to 100,000 on January 15th.
Probably a coincidence, or maybe it is a sign that we are blessed.
:)

When we had our last petition on the same whitehouse.gov website the threshold was 5,000 signatures when our petition was started.
And before our petition was done, it was increated to 25,000 signatures.

Again, probably a coincidence that both increases in threshold happened while electronic cigarette petitions were in progress.

I do know this much though...

Electronic cigarettes are a big problem for a lot of people who are very rich and have lots of money.
And that is most definitely not a coincidence.
