Bad ... looking setup, but couldn't help but notice you are using an 18350 device @.5Ω and there are no 18350's that are safe enough to run that low an Ω coil. AW IMR's are rated @ 6 amps and Efests @ 6.4 amps... You are pushing in the 8.4-7.4 amp range... What batteries are you using?

AW IMR the 6 amp rating is for constant output. For 3 to 5 second bursts (with 20-30 second rests between) the safe limit is twice that.

I run my AW IMR 16340 at .8 ohms as well.

Finally got my Taifun GT (with stainless steel deck) and Poldiac clones from FT. This is the first Poldiac they started selling in early November, I think, not the newer one. I didn't expect much from it, but it's surprisingly Good. Not great, but definitely worth the $20. I'm pretty sure there IS some voltage drop, but I think it's minimal.

But anyway, the Taifun GT clone. I've had a couple V2 Foggers for a while now so I was looking forward to trying this thing out. It's a MUCH easier build than the Fogger, but the Fogger produces more flavor and vapor, for me anyway, when using a very similar 28 gauge micro coil with cotton. The pics below are of my first (and successful, no less) Taifun GT build. No dry hits and no flooding! At least, not yet. I'm keeping a close eye on that air intake hole. I'm going to remove it from the mod and let it sit in a plastic cup overnight, because I'm paranoid like that.

I'm sorta trying to match up all my side-button mods with these bottom coil-type attys. I still need a kayfun or Russian clone. Or an Aqua or Squape clone.

Anyway, photos!

Mail on Sunday?
Seriously though, I'm surprised at how decent this thing is. I think you'll dig it.
And if you figure out how to get at the button mechanism, gimmie a shout.
Because I sure can't see how to do it. Not without potentially ruining the mod....

My poldiac is in the mail should be here Sunday, I can't wait. Nice!

So I notice a lot of gennie users still do the wiremesh and vertical coil set up.. why is that? Guess I'm the odd ball out doing rba type coils on gennies

Interesting, since last I checked a genesis type atty was an RBA. I like the concept of doing an RBA type coil on an RBA though... Works for me!!!!

Zip, I read that someone added a magnet to the button BC they wanted it to feel harder or softer and it's great and then I read not to touch the button or it would be a major pita to get back together,.... I dunno, I don't even know what day it is...

I normally run vertical coils with cotton wicks in my gennys. I did for the first time put an ugly 1 ohm 28 ga, 1/16th diameter Micro coil in my aga-td last night with cable u wick, it's not right for this atty, I think, I don't really like it, there's to much cotton, the holes and in the right places I think and the air hole doesn't like up where I want it.. I have a steam turbine coming that I want to set up like that...

Got any pics thlinks?

Yeah but making a diamond coil on a genny is a lot harder than on a rba like a trident.. usually one post is higher which means you have to stretch your pos neg wires farther which will In turn not preform as good ..

Here's my setup.. on a ihybrid mundys magic vertical coil cotton wicked

Here's a diamond coil on a genny.. notice how I had to stretch the legs more ...

Here's a double barrel vertical cloud chaser

Double barrel horizontal cloud chased..

So yeah all these worked great I just get bored and like to rebuild..

Yeah I'm actually quite satisfied with the button on this Poldiac clone. Not too stiff, not soft, throw is just right. I'm thinking more along the lines of what to do if it needs to be disassembled to clean....
