Twisted 30 Kanthal. I think it's 6 wraps on a 1/16" to about 0.87 ohms. Thought I'd try the single coil/double wick on my kraken clone. So far I love it.

It is a rockin rba for sure. It's 14mm and side air so for BF'ing it's insane. Flood proof, great vape, highest quality and looks to kill :)

I've never used or even seen a KFL in person but and as good as true fresh squeezed juice on demand is, I have not even a curiosity about anything else :)

I shoulda known you have juice feed not air feed through center. Now I'm confused why your coil is centered. How far is your coil from air feed? Are you running coil below air flow path to smooth out TH or something? Guess I'm just dazed and confused today...lol.

Yes, coil is good and low. The design of the chalice favors a center coil - it's actually built for center coils. The holes in the posts are purposely skewed to accept a Z coil.

I've heard tell of people running coils on one side of theirs. I tried one on my Aero BF - it has center juice feed and post holes that are perfect for side coils and the vape was anemic. I even drilled the cap for side air. Once I built it with a center coil, the vape was great.

I can't explain it but the chalice is the benchmark of a perfect vaping RBA when built like the designer intended :)

opinions are like a-holes... everyone has one.
There is no such thing as the perfect setup, only the one that works best for you.

Consistency is key, if you can repeat a build you like, then you have found your utopia.

I keep my builds simple and efficient... It is what has worked best for me.
It only takes me 5 minutes, from no coil to vaping...

thank you for sharing your . . . * . . . with us :?:

twisted can also increase the surface area of your heating element. lookit all them facets.

That M.Magic dual coil looks tasty. What rda is that, or is it for a sqwonk box? I'm not BFing yet. Thinking about making my own B F'r but still doing homework.

Sadly I can only use products that I sell when I'm at work because I'm at a B&M now. We don't sell any sqwonkers. Or anything terrible exciting yet for that matter. I usually use a VTR (display) or my Magneto all day.

Yeah, that's Mundy's Magic. It's a bit too much wire for duals (each coil is already three wires twisted), so it heats a little slow. But Mundy's is the best flavor I've ever had.

It's a Nimbus Clone on a REO Grand (yes, BF). Atty is drilled out for BF and the REO is modded to fit all atties (Low Profile 510). REO is also modded for ~.3V drop on a .4Ω coil.

So, all in all, twisted is simply far superior than single strand kanthal. Is that a sound conclusion?

Everyone likes different types of vapes, for a lot, twisted blows everything out of the water. I can't vape a normal dual coil any more, pure twisted
