Parallel Twisted 24 macro, 5/6wrap @ 0.06Ω - 1/4 Speed
Hey there folks, well I went a bit crazy on the weekend and decided to try my hand at this macro thing. so here we have my first time building with 20ga Kanthal (damn this stuff is stiff!)
We have 4mm diameter, Kanthal A1 20g (0.8mm) 7/8 wraps, 0.2ohms and wicked with more cotton than I've put in my last 4 micro coils in each coil. This is in a 28.5mm Plume Veil on my copper Hades. Takes a little time to heat up (so much wire!) but once it does it blows plumes!
First couple of pictures are pre fire and tweak

What does ECF think?
I'm thinking next time I redo this build, I'll either do it in the 20ga with only 5 wraps (which should get me around 1.5 ohm ish) or do 5 wraps with 22ga which will be closer to the 0.2ohm that I like to vape at
That being said, I used to love 0.8ohm builds and haven't done one of those in a while... so many decisions and builds to be made!
the SONY is 50a continuous 80a pulse, and the sag at that drain puts me at only 3.5v or so... so pulling 60a0.06 Ω ?
That's 228.16 Watts and 61.66 Amps of current.
I only know one battery that can safely handle that: LiFePo battery, like A123 ANR26650M1A 3.2V 2300mAh 70A

given that the atty gets so hot, you can only do 2-3 pulls before letting it chill (and only maybe 10 total before the cell need switch) - so that 60a is just fine
I was under the impression that Sony 26650 are 26A max continuous draw, 52A pulse. The MNKE are 20A/60A.
Maybe I was wrong...
Could you please forward the information about Sony's 80 A pulse rating to me?
