You're entitled to your opinion. I'll just leave it at that. :D:D:D

Well done! Never admit that Art coils don't actually work very well.
The secret must be protected.

Wait, does calling them Art Coils give too much away? Since the definition of 'art' is something with no purpose other than itself..?

Nope, I'm sure it'll be fine fine.

Carry on :D

How would you wick something like that?

Yes some of it is "magic",that's not the point though. I already listed the specs, that's more than enough. My point was that I'm not gonna throw facts as to what tastes better. But since you insist I shall lol :D

Claptons taste better than regular coils, more flavor more vapor, fused claps are above that, stags are above that, aliens are above that, both regular, stitched and Mohawks, stacked ribbon builds are even above that. Those are the facts. Some may be subjective but in general that's on point.

If you compare this...

To a regular coil both flavor and vapor wise you're basically comparing a Prius to Lamborghini Aventador lmfao

I only have issue with the statement that claptons or any other complex coil produce more vapor than a regular contact coil. Not true.

If you compare a 28/36 Clapton that is 6mm wide and some ID to a contact coil using 28ga or higher that has the same dimensions (ID and width) the contact coil will evaporate more juice in a given time at the same wattage than the Clapton.

The physics is quite simple. A Lower mass (higher gauge) coil of the same dimensions will transfer heat sooner and come up to a higher surface temperature than a coil with higher mass (lower gauge).

I've measured the diference between 28ga Kanthal and 28ga SS. Kanthal produces 5.6% more vapor than SS over a given time and wattage than SS because Kanthal is a lower density material and it heats up faster.

Kanthal 7.1g/cm^3 vs SS 7.8g/cm^3

As far as flavor, the more mass a coil has the warmer the vape at a set wattage. If you equate a warmer vape to having more flavor then I agree.

Hand made vapable jewelry, kind of has a ring to it. Wire jewelry that vapes, if it vapes at all. I remember when we discovered that twisting two wires together improved vapor production, Now we got a coil god, Pray to him so your shi..don't kink up when building...lol
Some just don't get it as fast as others and Some don't have all day to sit on their behinds and build coils!!!..Instead of getting satisfaction in helping others learn and grow they want to gloat in their own sh.. over and over again..Ok I get it, your the best builder on the planet but damn stop bad mouthing other people and talking trash everytime you see someone else post something. Let others shine too bro...

I'm far from the best builder on the planet. Far from it. I make mistakes too. Like any other builder out there. And I'm not gloating in anything. I'm simply stating the fact that there is a reason why us advanced builders spend hours working on a single coil. Sometimes it works out great, sometimes it doesn't.

And I do help people. Did I not message you trying to help you with the aliens that you're struggling with? You didn't respond. So who's the one that's full of themselves? Did I not post some alien wire tips few posts back? I didn't have to do that. All I could have done is say go on YouTube.

I know some pick it up faster than others. Some waste more wire than others. Everyone's different. But most of us are here to build and share and help those that are struggling. Not everyone here is completely for themselves. Realize that.

Freaking awesome work Justadude :thumb: very tidy!!
Thanks bro, unfortunately the stapled tsuka went to sh. T when I went to coil it today. Ribbons bent to a side as they've done before. So it's back to the drawing board trying to figure out fool proof methods of coiling ribbon wire before I go any further.

You see badinfluence ? Even I fu.. K up. Spent several good hours working on something that went to sh. T real fast. But I'm not ......, I know I can do it and have faith and believe in myself because I've been down the learning curve road a lot before. Went through it with aliens, staggers, and some other builds. But I figured it out, conquered it, put it under my belt as experience and moved on. Same will happen with ribbon wire.

I'm extremely persistent and patient by nature hence I know that it's only a matter of time before I get ribbon down to a science. And that's what I believe we all need in order to succeed with whatever we're building.

While testing is great, different strokes for different folks. We all vape differently. What may be hot for me might be cold for another vaper. Everyone's different. And everyone will have different taste buds and prefer different builds.

You may want prefer your parallel builds, I may prefer my coil porn, but at the end of the day we're all in this together and should respect one another and stick together as a vaping community. Let's not forget why we all started vaping in the first place

You all know who that was for...
Please stop acting like this thread is all about you or a coil building competition because it isn't.
One person post a pic, you want to post 15. Another person puts a picture, here you come with criticism. Another person post a picture. here you come telling them what to post and not to post... dude who the ____are you? Get off your own sh... I would like to see the first coil you wrapped just to remind you where you started..

edge bending ribbon is a PITA. I've only ever suceeded by hot forming it.
