Ok let me take a deep breath. Almost got lucky enough to alien about an inch of wire yesterday and that was it...yeah! Not happy at all but not giving up yet. @ the pros, is there a specific way to align the to staggered cores when building a staple staggered clapton? I tried to build one today an it was a disaster...I find that I can't hold the wire in one position. It feels as if I have to swing the wire back and forth to get it in the slots as opposed to just holding it at an angle. Also when I stagger the cores and cut into 2 pcs the slopes are at an angle not straight. Tips?
Then I must really piss you off bro with all my stitched and hollow aliens tricked out

Sorry dude. Ok look, there is A LOT that goes into making an alien wire. I can pull off an alien in all of 10 to 15 minutes from start to finish but I've also went through a little bit of a learning curve. Here's few tips that should help :
1- your Clapton HAS TO be tight and perfect, if there are spaces or whatever at some points the stretch is gonna f.. K up later on. Get that part perfect first. You need at least 7-8 inches.
2- once stretched it should look like a corkscrew. Stretch too much and it won't form an alien, don't stretch enough and you'll pull too hard on it and the wires will triangle
3- your cores HAVE TO be perfectly parallel. The moment you start noticing that they're gonna triangle you need to adjust it RUGHT AWAY. If you stall or just keep going it'll get a lot worse a lot faster and then bye bye alien
4- go slow, seriously, go slow. Use magnifying goggles if you have to watch each wrap. Use swivels to your advantage if you want to as well. Hit me up if you're still struggling
