Went to a vape meet were they had a build contest. Had to use 1 strand of 24g/28g twisted and dual coils with no breaks. It was fun and a PITA. After the builds were judge, we had to wick them and do a cloud contest. It was a great time.
Then me in the cloud part.

Dual nano coils on cotton cloud .08 ohm. Made on my artistic wire thing-a-ma-jig. Loving this setup.

0.8 or .08?! if what you put is correct thats insane!
Dual Nanos, 10 wraps of 30ga around a triple twist of 30ga at .5 ohms. Vapes like a fricken train with AMAZING flavor. Next time I will take a wrap off each coil and step down to 28ga and I think that should put me around .3 ish ohms.

Triple-twisted 28g kanthal A1, 10 turns on a 1/16" bit, .6Ω after oxidizing. The heat and flavor are friggen AMAZING. Had to drill out my air hole with said 1/16" bit for this female dog in heat. OMG
Now I'm really beginning to understand all this fuss.

I been building my coils on rdas for a long time and I think I have good experience.
usually I build at .5-.8 and use mostly aw 18490's (enough amp limit for me)
but yesterday I swaped batteries (I have 4 18490's on rotation) and suddenly started to get burnt hits, I thought it was that I overstuffed my wick so I changed the cotton, still no improvement, today I changed the coil thinking that somehow that was the issue even if the coil would glow perfectly at .65 ohms, changed it to a identical one and still had the same issue, checked the voltage and the bat was at 3.77... changed batteries and now the issue is resolved
I always check battery voltage after charging and after using, this bat has been working great for the last 6 months
I checked everything and can't pinpoint the issue here

Its 4 strands of 30g kanthal wraped into a .6ohm micro coil. Will let people know how it is tomorrow.

The shape they're in when they get red is what they stay at. My micros got tighter when I started torching them while pinched with tweezers before install.
