The use of a single wire to make dual coils is called a sleeper, would be the same with two wires for a parallel build.

In my opinion its the only way to do dual coils on some rebuildables due to positive post limitations for wire size.

I'm nearly 100% sure there is an advantage in conductivity due to the setup being far simpler and having less extra wire in the build.

If I can manage to make enough 32 on 32 Clapton wire I want to do a parallel dual vertical coil on my Stillare. I'm just not quite there yet.

Quasar - Parallel 24g - 2.5mm ID - 0.33 ohm's
Flavour & Vapour are excellent - Heat up time is a tad slow but acceptable
Maybe worth trying a drop from 2 x 6 to 2 x 5 wrap.

Picked up a 28.5mm Tobh.

Parallel twisted 28g kanthal double mini-micro (somewhere between a micro and a nano) @ 0.08

Oly shi these high-power builds on the big rda REALLY kick... ...thick, full. Pops so hard with the cap off you can feel the concussion of vapor, literally. Cracks the air.

Realized this post was missing something without this

I'm not a dripper kinda guy but with my genny tanks all broken I have been resorting to the Stillare as of late till I get my replacements in, this is 28g a1 dual vertical ohms out at 0.51 wicked with 400 mesh oxidized SS with a tad bit of cotton at the base to help gather liquid.

By far a better flavor representation than cotton through the coil, and yes this baby chucks the clouds.

So I've been wondering. I must start off by saying that I am both a cynic AND a cheap azz bugger.

I've read a gabillion reviews about how gplat wires are plain BS. Some of which were pretty legit and scientific. But I've also read a good number of reviews that swear by the improvements.

Can all folks who've tried gplat try to give a comparison/review that's as objective, as fluff-less as possible?

Burping out loud using Tapatalk

I hear ya man, I was cynical myself until I gritted my teeth and dished out the 25$ for a measly 15 feet (which is quite alot I must say, because every build I've done I've liked, so I stick with them for quite some time.).

Fluffless: It's alot like Nichrome but heats up quicker, and cools down quicker. All it does is allow you to build bigger coils/more wraps, while keeping the resistance low. IE say you like a 0.5 ohm coil, instead of 6 wraps of 22ga kanthal, you can have 12 wraps of 22ga gplat wire, and that massive coil will heat up just as fast as the 6 wrap kanthal. The flavor is just as clean as any wire, but the extra surface area/coils are nice for spreading out the heat, resulting in stronger flavor to me.

If you haven't tried nichrome, that's a more economical way of getting the idea, but gplat just heats up a little quicker, and has a lower resistance. I'm honestly hooked on it now, I pretty much always vape sub-ohm, my favorite builds are around 0.2, so as you can imagine alot of my coils were tiny 4 wraps, even with 22ga. But gplat allows me to build 8 wrap coils, and still be at the ohms I like. It's pretty darn awesome, but it's not like absolute mind-blowing, just a little extra density and vapor.

Give it a shot brother! I really like the 22ga elite, but I'm a low ohmer, I'd suggest 24ga if you like it a little higher.

Made a simple 0.5 double, just to see what's what.

Nothing fancy, but high enough to use the MNKEs. Great flavor, pretty cool. Not quite the density I've gotten used to recently though, and it's weird-feeling to have to pull 4sec to get a good hit. Ima juice it a few times and then try something else...

...not sure what though. I haven't done ribbon since I ripped some out if a toaster a while back when I was waiting on an order.

Think I may try a nano dragon with the 24 until I have something cool in mind for the ribbon.

Although, just now getting through the first juice in that 0.5 ohm ribbon, and it is vaping nearly perfectly.

May have to leave it in for a while. Lol wish I'd gotten a.few of these big Tobhs.

So I got the 150% bigger version of my favorite atty in today, and I gotta say it's basically your favorite vape...x2. It's a cloud chasers DREAM! You'd figure you'd get an airy vape with the bigger chamber, but if you know what your doing, all you have to do is make your coils hotter, add a little extra airflow, use some lower resistance wire (Gplat 22ga elite) so your sub-ohm coils can still have alot of wraps, and boom your BIG vapin'! I'm hooked on 26650 RDA's now, maybe they work for me because I'm a big guy, but I love'em.

The best part is, they have huge decks so they can fit like 20 drops (a whole dropper), and as much wicking as you see fit. I haven't had a yellow wick, or a dry hit since I got this thing! And I've been "cloud chasing" my .... off!

(Remember if your vaping 0.1 or lower, which is all I've been doing with Gplat lol, then use a 50amp battery).

Big Tobh don't need no airflow cutoff teeth! How else am I going to do my centerpost builds? This is seriously the only larger-that 1/16th" diameter coil build that I've liked in a looong time, partly because I like a low ohm vape (or a high wattage vape), and I can't get enough wraps in order to stay below about 0.2.

BUT I've been enjoying this Gplat 22ga elite lately, and this lets me build relatlively huge coils at pretty darn low ohms. (I'm being safe with a Sony VT 50amp continuous, which is actually capable of 125watt bursts, so I don't want to hear it :p).

I've been loving this build in my "mini" rda's, it's super quick to heat up, gives off huge vapor, but the best part is the larger diameter (than what I'm used to) keeps the dry hitting away completely. The thick wick going through this sub-ohm'er keeps it moist, and I can take huge fog making rips off of it, with pretty amazing flavor too.

Y'all have gotta check out this Cloud Science Alpha juice as well, it's specifically made for "cloud chasers", but I just like it because it's VG heavy, super thick, and tastes just like Mother's Milk from Suicide Bunny, strawberries and cream cloudy goodness right here.
