Second attempt at a twisted coil. First one was a loooong time ago and it was a total failure.
But THIS one turned out pretty dang good! I used some leftover bits of flat and regular kanthal so I'm not sure of the gauges; I think the regular kanthal is 28 gauge though.
I guess this is a.....tiger coil? I can't judge flavor because I've got a REALLY bad head cold, but vapor production at about 4V is what I expect out of a .55 ohm coil. Heats up fast and cools down quick enough. It's a juice HAWG though, heh! And not that it matters much, but this is a Tugboat clone on a VaporShark rDNA40.

With the way it appears to be spitting and popping the flavor should be pretty darn good.
I'm hoping it is. I can't shake this cold. Cannot taste a single thing. Nothing at all, food nor smoke joose.
And I managed to get that shot at the exact moment i hit the fire button on my VaporShark, after it had been sitting for a few
minutes. Once it's firing it doesn't spit 'n crackle quite so much. But yeah, I DO enjoy that. I like a noisy coil.
(cept for that ridonkulous "turbo" atty, that just ain't my bag)![]()
Sounds like what I had just after the first of the year. Nothing had any taste, but all my tanks and feeders only tasted badly.
That said, I have a Derringer coming soon! Should be here Friday!
Yep, it's still got me. Fever is down but still all kindsa snot events!
Keep us updated on the Derringer. I'm interested in those as well!
Sick dude!! I gotta try this next!
