well go on then Froth tell me what that wire is :D the only thing that looks close that ive used is some 20ga A1 that i flattened, and is a really good vape

i had been using a small hammer i bought espiecally for flattening but when i decided to flatten some 20ga i went and got my full size claw hammer, worked a treat, i tried it on the cat track wire and it did a better job quicker without breaking the wire like i thought it might do as its a much heavier hammer than i used previously, here's a pic of the wire i did with it....

Some really awesome looking matrix coils there guys! :2cool:

Here's simple but effective. I've been building for a couple three months now, now on a regulated mod the past few weeks (Sigelei 100+, which has been great).
Did this build with surface area in mind...
24g duals, 12 wraps, .4Ω.
Tugboat clone, organic cotton. Been vaping @ around 44 watts, 4.5 volts.

Second attempt at a twisted coil. First one was a loooong time ago and it was a total failure.

But THIS one turned out pretty dang good! I used some leftover bits of flat and regular kanthal so I'm not sure of the gauges; I think the regular kanthal is 28 gauge though.

I guess this is a.....tiger coil? I can't judge flavor because I've got a REALLY bad head cold, but vapor production at about 4V is what I expect out of a .55 ohm coil. Heats up fast and cools down quick enough. It's a juice HAWG though, heh! And not that it matters much, but this is a Tugboat clone on a VaporShark rDNA40.

With the way it appears to be spitting and popping the flavor should be pretty darn good.

I'm hoping it is. I can't shake this cold. Cannot taste a single thing. Nothing at all, food nor smoke joose.

And I managed to get that shot at the exact moment i hit the fire button on my VaporShark, after it had been sitting for a few
minutes. Once it's firing it doesn't spit 'n crackle quite so much. But yeah, I DO enjoy that. I like a noisy coil.
(cept for that ridonkulous "turbo" atty, that just ain't my bag) :D

Sounds like what I had just after the first of the year. Nothing had any taste, but all my tanks and feeders only tasted badly.

That said, I have a Derringer coming soon! Should be here Friday!
