It's a 20 strand Wharf i copied the_vaping_aussie on IG, it was my first attempt and isn't quite as tight a bind as his but it is what it is .. I did it to pretty much see how hard it was and how long it took.

Yeah brotha it still came out great! I sent you his pics cause I wanted to see if you could do it and then share how to do it cause I'm way too lazy to 5 loop it, but I'd definitely 3 loop it for 12 strands.

Mini clapton @ 1.4 ohms/under 15 watts!

Slip, did you Vice it at the end and torch it 2x and pull up on it with a plier to stiffen and tighten it?

After braiding i did pull on the end's a bit to tighten it up but it kept trying to open back up or spring back, i wanted to get a pic with nice blue's so i didn't want to torch it, i left it in the vise after braiding and held it in the air by the pliers on the other end so i had some tension and then i twisted the loose ends.
It vape's great Wharf, plenty of flav and clouds, i just wish i had another 20w or so to throw at it as it's quite a cool vape, my SnowWolf died and my sigelei is a 100w and on a mech at 0.13ohms after voltdrop etc i probably work out to be around 100w also.. if anything i suppose i could drop a wrap when i get a chance.

Are you going to try your hand at one wharf?

It reads 0.2ohms on my Sig150. 2.5MMID. Kanthal. I can put 90 watts on it no problem but have settled in at 60-65 watts. I stuffed it full of Rayon. It does like juice. Flavor and vapor is really really good. It does pop a little from a cold start but once it's ramped up its smooth sailing. I like it much better than any Clapton build right now. I am going to try some 30g for a single coil in the Manta or a Z coil in a Stumpy or Thump.

Dual vertical sleeper in the Stumpage. WOW. Great build Distorto. Gonna have to wrap one up for sure. Bet it is a killer vape. Love it.

And how do you compare the FishTail to Alien coil's Wharf?
I thought the vape was pretty dam close between the two although you can vape the braided at a much lower watt's as you said, inturn giving more battery life, winwin.
I vape mine at the same sort of wattage, normally 70w on the sigelei.
It can be a hot vape on the mech though, i think i need to get some kanthal and experiment.

The only thing i noticed you have to watch is when you come to re-wick that the rayon can pull the coil about quite a bit so ive had to start cutting the wick tail's off first before pulling out

Hey Guys,
I apologize for being so scarce lately, but I just recently found out I'm gonna be a grandmother & even better... I'm have a grandson on the way So yeah, I've been a little side tracked lately, but as always still vaping like a boss. I believe I've mastered the 3 & 4 strand or more like the 6 & 8 strand braids, so I figure I'm ready to try perfecting my Claptons. Does anyone have or know a sure fire way to make the perfect Clapton ? I do okay by hand, but due to the medication I take, my hands shake terribly & I find myself messing up far too much wire, trying to get it done. So I am open to any & all suggestions or if you know of a specific video that would be helpful that would be great too... You guys are still the best coil builders on the net & I just love looking at your coil porn... Keep up the great coil building...

In general the vapor is thicker if that makes any sense. Flavor is abit richer as well.
Yes, the coils are not as sturdy as other builds so have to be careful when tidying up and wicking. I agree.
