Premiering The NEW Phoenix RAVEN Line 3.5ml & 5ml Hybrid Phoenix System!!!

I read ya loud and clear Harmonic. I'm wondering if playing with rubber o-ring thickness might let a stock tube slide in. Realilty is, I'm with you...The stock Phoenix's are working rather well for me right now, and am to lazy to experiment. Of course, I would love to see a Raven tank, with the Phoenix innards without the tube...just a mouthpiece with a 510 connection.

I'm not that fond of top coils to begin with, and the idea of juice climbing a long wick from the bottom, just doesnt seem optimal to me. I Know it works, dont get me wrong, but the shorter the juice has to travel to the coils seems like a better idea all around, IMO.

I guess, in a nutshell, a cross breed Raven/ BC Phoenix with a 5ml capacity would be awsome. Optional tanks like the ViVi line, would be icing on the cake. The air tube being able to separate from the atty is super sweet as far as maintaince goes. I posted on another thread, how I clean my BC Phoenix's...It works rather well:

1. Pull tube off
2. Soak the Atty base in Everclear for 15 min
3. Shake out excess, and dry burn till you see the whole coil glow red. Do this in several short bursts, untill the entire coil glows for a split second. I would do this only on a low voltage batt, like an ego.
4. Take a toothpick or a dental tool if you have one, and very gently scrape the coil, and the carbon build up in the cup
5. Rinse out the crud with Everclear
6. Dry burn again, gently, to burn off alcohol
7. Your wick should be nice and white
8. Prime with juice, assemble, fill, and vape like its new..

I have been doing this on several Phoenix's that are 3 weeks old now. Trick is not to let them get in too bad of shape before maintenance.

This is exactly how I clean mine only I use vodka for the soak. All my Phoenix bc have been lasting since I've had them (about 4 weeks).

ZIP - with this new raven setup they supposedly dont rely on the vacuum right? so if you want rid of that tube here is what you could do - and this just might work for a xl also if you discard the clear tube... take the tank apart and leave just the bottom cap on. scratch the center tube with something sharp (as marker would prolly wipe off when you remove the cap) right where the cap ends on the inside side. take the tank base off and take the center plug out and cut the tube at the mark with a small pipe cutter or something. carefully now this part might be tricky. lay all the parts side by side next to each other as if they were assembled. IF the center plug in the center tube ends up below the underside of the tank top then mark and cut the tube just a hair under where the center seal is. IF the center seal is above the underside of the tank top (this is prolly most likely case) then mark and cut the tube at the inside edge of the tank top. in both cases save the top part you cut off. assemble the atty/air tube (with the small piece of tube still on it) into the base of the tank. put tank tube and top on. insert the small top piece of cut off tube into the top of the tank stopping at the underside of the top OR just below the lip on the air tube if its shorter then the tank. replace the center seal and insert drip tip. if done correctly and put side by side with a stock unit the only difference would be you would only see the air tube inside the tank instead of carto tube.
now i think if you remove the center tube before you cut the bottom off you might could put the cut off bottom ring on a phoenix xl and insert it into the tank the same way as the raven or even just put the whole raven tube on the xl and see if that works...
granted this is all based on IF the raven cartos use the standard size carto tubes....

Any chance of adding a screw plug filler hole like on the side of a couple of the tanks(I think they are the M1A1 BUZZ tanks I got from somewhere), makes re-filling easier and less chance of wrecking the inner O-rings?

I also use the M1A1 tanks from NotCigs.com and I love them just due to that side-fill hole! No way at my job I can stop, slide a carto down part of the way, try to drip juice in without missing and then clean juice off of my hands from the carto. I just keep a 10ml needle-tip bottle in my pocket and I'm all set! I'll probably pass on these, but definitely can't wait to see the Bionic Phoenix as I do like the current Phoenix XL's for backups and I just ordered 10 of the 3ml Phoenix today.

I'm also in a bit of a quandary on these...

If these had come out before the Vivi Nova, I'd be jumping for joy as this type of tank was exactly what I was looking for at that time. Now these would have to top the VN in some area like flavor, ease of use and/or maintainance, quality or at the very least visual appeal...

I've already got 4 different carto style tanks and I'll probably check out one of the 5ml's just to try something with a larger capacity... So it isn't a matter of if I'm going to try these... It will be a matter of if I like them enough to continue using something like these. I do have my fingers crossed at least.

I understand exactly what your saying, and am going to do that very thing, once I get my greedy paws on one of these Raven's !


Looking closely at Chris's original pics, and paying close attention to the Atty base, I would be willing to bet those tubes are the same diameter (inside) as the Phoenix 1.5ml tube as opposed to a typical Boge or DC carto. Being metal, the wall thickness does not have to be as much as plastic. The stock Phoenix tube, ALMOST goes into one of my old DCT I have laying around. I am really curious about these Ravens, and the potential they may have. Imagine this:

An atty (like a BC Phoenix) that has a larger smooth base, with a air tube that pops off for atty cleaning (like the Phoenix), coupled to an adjustable metal/rubber seal that accepts a 510 drip tip.

Turn any standard or XL tank into a High capacity BC Phoenix/Raven setup! Yes, I can't wait to see the breakdown of the Bionic...Personally, Im praying for it to be BC in nature....

For what it's worth...been using DC tanks for a little over a year and about 8 months ago was getting ready to fill a tank and one of those black rubber drip tips that came with the CE 2 Fluxos was sitting on the counter - the one with the really skinny top - replaced my drip tip with this and then pulled the tank up to fill and the skinny top of this Fluxo tip left enough room to insert the needle drip tip on the juice bottle into the tank and fill right to the top - when the tank is pushed back down there is very little, if any juice on the drip tip (the small internal o-ring takes care of the excess juice when you push the tank back down) - you can fill vertical, no tilting - looks like this would work for the Raven also.

Just wondering for all those vapers out there that have dc tanks. Whether the raven carto will fit in a normal dc tank?

the raven carto can fit in other tanks but you would need to test which fit best, we are working on a surprise for our tanks though that we havent shown yet that im sure will make you all happy and want to purchase the tank provided with the raven

I'm interested in seeing a comparison too. The betterlife site only has a picture of the 5ml version I believe. Did Lord have the 5ml or the 3.5ml on his lavatube? Sometimes something around 3ml looks big on an ego type battery and sometimes it looks good.
