Yes, all my thoughts and prayers are with those who lost their lives and the families who lost loved ones. Such a horrifyingly heinous act of terrorism. People from all across the country have reached out to me today to make sure we are OK. Our club days are long long gone and we live in Tampa, not Orlando, which is 2 hours away. Still, it's the single largest mass shooting in American history and it's so sad.

Wow. I wake up @ 4:20 in the afternoon, grab a Mexican Coke (real sugar, glass bottle) have a vape (turn down to 7 watts until I wake up) try to catch up on ECF before doing anything else and read about this here. I guess I better go hit the news sites. Sounds like a real suck. I better call my Sister...

Don't let distance give you a sense of complacency. They caught another guy loaded down with guns and explosives headed to the LA Pride celebration. The crazies are on the prowl, and they're being fed justification from elected officials like TX Lt. Governor Dan Patrick. Be extra vigilant and stay safe.

I read about the LA guy loaded with guns headed to a gay pride festival. I'm never complacent. But being a homebody definitely has it's advantages. Yes it does.

Carry. Jackie's going to. Screw 'em. Look at a "defenseless" girl cross-eyed and you're toast.

I can't get into a gun discussion with you folks and actually win but living in a country like Canada does have some benefits. Toronto is the exact same size as Chicago and has 1/10th the annual murders. If we have over 30 gun related murders a year, the press starts throwing around terms like "year of the gun". Almost all of the gun murders are gang/mob hits as well.

Sorry, I do like living where it is almost impossible to buy a handgun.

Yeah, well, I understand. A lot of it has to do with the type of people living in Canada as opposed to the some of the people living here and I'm going to leave it at that. If I lived in Canada, I probably wouldn't feel the need to carry as much but would still want to able to defend myself. Where we used to live, I never left home without my little friend. Since moving up here, I forget it most of the time. I've had to relegate to leaving it out in my Jeep so I wouldn't forget it. Still, I don't usually bother to even holster it anymore.

my Mom moved to Florida over 20 years ago ... she never owned a gun in Canada.

However, since moving to Florida and riding her Harley all over the state ... she packs heat in case of an emergency.

you don't want to mess with a gun-toting, Harley riding Grandma, who's trained to shoot you in the face.

And I sleep better at night, when home invasions are on the rise , with a loaded weapon at the ready...

As peace loving as they are (well, my Sister can get pretty violent, Lol), I say the LGBT community start arming themselves to the teeth. Us straights will welcome it. Wouldn't have mattered in this case, carrying in a bar is illegal. There's the crux...

Well, after reading the news stories and watching the videos, I have a headache.

No matter where you stand on any issues, the really sad part... I'm not shocked anymore. We don't even have the pleasure of fantasying letting a family member of one of the victims taking that grub out in a field, shooting him in the head and leaving his body for the crows...

Good night, I need to medicate.

We're all kind of guessing when it comes to the long-term storage issue. I've opted to cycle, but cannot justify the decision.

Is it a v2 or 2.5 (do you know?)? If the former, bath it. Heck, even if not (since you're not sending it back anyway), what's to lose? You might want to try contact CS, to see if they have any recommendations.

Or someone here might know. I'm thinking Willy or ENAUD, since they each have a farm of Provaris in their collections. :D

NO! If it's a 2.5 don't give it an alcohol bath. They changed the adhesive inside and it might react with alcohol.
