MastiffMike? This is going to the old days. Haven't seen you in a long time.

I haven't been around for awhile but I'm back, though I did promise the S.O. that I won't spend as many hours a day online as I used to!

Good to see you! I hope all is well with eveyone!

Seeing you old dog brought a smile to my face. I still can't get over that tongue, but it is good to see ya :)

Good to see U2! Wait, Bono is here???

It's nice to see so many familiar people here! (I actually avoided visiting ECF for awhile because I was afraid it'd just be full of new people. Great to see people here that appreciate how great vapers have it today.

I'm still here on ECF... sort of. ;)

And here I sit with a Chameleon in my hand....

Woah. You may not remember me, but I DEFINITELY remember YOU! Welcome back, dog tongue.

Switched, another great post. Should time permit, I hope to be able to reply to some of your observations, which are, once again, brilliant.

As a newer than you vaper, I'm honored to have both of you here.

I keep listening but I don't hear anything.

Well said Switcher and I think you Avi is fine. "Back in the day" as you put it Ecigs were new and everyone was into talking about the new technology and you were one of the most informative there was. You taught me a lot of things. Today there's so much gear that the discussion has changed from technology to people with a reference every now and then to the latest and greatest.
You are also right about cartos only lasting a couple days but Isaac has spoiled everyone with longevity being in weeks instead of days so now it's figured that's the norm. They seem to forgot nicotine consumption cost $8.00 a pack but again his cartos lasting so long has been one reason for that.
Even though you are an added benifit and your intelligence in this area and others plus the fact that you are well liked, and greatly missed all points to we would be very happy if you showed up more again like the old days.

Johnny 5Card (term of endearment)

I just lost a significant response to this observation. We had a brief power outage and poof, everything was gone. I am not about to re-type the whole thing LOL.

In the day we had great discussions/interactions where we readily shared information amongst us. We rarely see this any more. I am not sure where or when the change took place but it has. I doubt that the vaping community (beginners) these days are smarter then we were, although it seems a lot suffer from this delusion. A lot of thought/time went into these exchanges. They were exchanges where everyone participated and nurtured each other. It was a win win for all involved. We carried out these exchanges without the intent implied or otherwise of retribution. It felt good.

As with this thread (portions of) you can't IMHO progress into the future without knowing where you have been. There are a lot of the basics that are simply thrown out the window :( not is this thread particularly but in general.

Anecdote...

At our first Canadian Vapefest last year there was a table set up next to mine (juice vendor) I asked the owner why he used sucralose in his liquids (a no no). He denied using it. Artificial sweeteners give of a distinct smell when vapourized. I come to find out later that he may have been misguided wrt the ingredients he used, where I believe he was using TFA's liquid sweetener (which is sucralose) but not labelled as such. <--- This is not the anecdote.

At a round table that evening during the course of the conversation, I was once again exchanging with a new juice vendor who used Ethyl Maltol and Malic Acid/vinegar in his liquids. I asked him why? He said trade secret. I stated I don't want to know your secret sauce recipe, we are all vendors here having a discussion. But you should be able to answer the Q with a simple word. He couldn't. Yet he was a juice maker, both are used as "buffers" in liquids, one for imparted sweetness, the other as a PH balancer. It is IMHO if you are selling liquids to the public, you should at least know things that you are doing, not merely replicating someone else's recipe.

At the same round table I apologized to Zen for saying on ECF he was full of crap wrt the Zen2 function (the battery floats in the tube). When I explained why, he stated I was right with the conclusions I had drawn. That being said I did not posses the whole info. Zen is a PHD in Electrical Engineering and a brilliant mind, some find him pompous and arrogant. I have met very few doctors in my life that weren't. However, he held court that evening and we exchanged at length Zen and I. I still do not fully grasp his explanation, but conceded he knew what he was doing (because it works). Nonetheless everyone was in awe wrt the conversation that took place that evening. The information that was shared was priceless, Zen was holding court and everyone was listening. A 4hr convo cannot be redacted in a mere few lines but Zen believes in open source vice everyone sending cease and desist letters. That being said, there is nothing wrong with improving someone else's idea and marketing it as your own. That is what open source is all about. There are rules that govern open source and as long as you maintain the integrity of the intent in OS, all is golden. The industry would not be where it is today without the OS concept and pioneering carried out by our predecessors.

I do not wish to derail this thread any further, I only participated to share the following thought. One cannot move forward without knowing where they have been In my most humble opinion.

Switcher again I agree. We just got out of an industry (cigarettes) that didn't disclose the ingredients they used. When I use a product I want to know whats in it and I'm just a consumer. With you being a fellow vendor I can't see the logic in not disclosing to you what was in it. I mean if a person wanted to steal his formula that would be no problem with a sample of it and have it analyzed. Surely he knew or should of known you were just exchanging info for your own interest or maybe that wasn't his reason for attending. You know what they say about a guilty mind.

I've not noticed any particular change in batt run time, Isaac, but then again, I'm prolly THE person not to ask. I have way too many batts going all at the same time.

So ya know what? Just ignore what I just said! I don't even know why I'm posting!
No no,. don't ever doubt yourself KK. Never ever. Your write ups just blew my mind. You got some great intellect in there!
You always kept my seat open at the supper table :) To tell the truth I burnt out with forums. I lurk to keep in touch but in all honesty (without any disrespect to anyone) not a lot of intelligent convo goes on any more in general :(

This has gone on long enough. As stated in my previous post, don't be so hard on yourselves. Toppers are a consumable product :)

To my good buddy... I am only a Skype away :)
HeySwitcher,
Oh man, wait until you read this email. The market has revolutionized as the world turns my friend. I took your advice from the past and made it a point to keep exploring as to avoiding getting lost in the dark :D

About tasting the bitter to appreciate the sweet. Totally understand and hear you clearly good buddy.People I have met in person around the area, I have spoiled so much with masses upon masses of products at alittle to no charge and do any of them use anything? Not by a long shot. Will it stop me? Not at all. We can help to an extent the rest is up to them as long I know the fact of attempting to help is good enough. I'm happy to hear that you invited a person in out them through the entire experience! That was really modest of you brother.
As for heightening the resistance. The coils being used here in this carto is very unique, reminiscent of the old days with a burn in period but great rewards. To raise the resistance on these to above normal is concerting for sales, but I think once facts are stated and known (if thats possible) they may move as to give better range for the end user. Though it will be needing users to rewrite their way of thinking "HR" when in this scenario it will operate at lower currents. Risky for sales though. Everything is an investment.
I'll fire up the ol skype box, it has been off for as long as I can remember

And here I sit with a Chameleon in my hand....
Oh my GOD Mastiff!! Buddy! How in the world are you?!?!?! Are you really still using it? Need anything for it?

Hi friendly human! I hope you are doing EXCELLENT!

I still use it when at home, though I find myself using mainly Ego style vv batteries when out and about because they're maybe more pocket friendly (due to the 5 click off). It still works great though!

I don't suppose there's an Ego connector that works with it? I have a 510-to-Ego adapter but it does look a little wonky. Otherwise the only other thing I'd like is a 16mm Kick-like device that would fit (though I find running 1.5Ohm Dual Coils is pretty darn satisfying I wouldn't mind be able to tailor the voltage/wattage).

Even after all these years I'm still in love with it's size and weight!

The inner flood ring doesn't bother me at all but one thing they need and I know I'm going to hear different but it needs a flange. Doesn't have to be big. Even just a bump. Something to keep the tank from sliding down onto the PV and then you get a pocket full of juice.

Agreed on the flange for tanks!
