been using the protege with a 510 atty on it all day ... i don't even like 3.7v's, but the 510 at 3.7v is quite nice :)

Yay 510s! (sez the woman who's been stockpiling those buggers)

I'm hoping the batteries for this little work of art will be somewhat easier to obtain than the RCR123As have been. Everybody's always out of the dratted things. I am never again ordering less than 20 at a whack, I swear.

Yea I was thinking the Protege would make a good 510 and 401 driver. I can't use the 401 on the pass cause it just doesn't handle the power very well. It works but not well. The 510 OTOH>>> WOW.. Now I need a Prodigy 510 adaptor. Heck just give me one of everything. And put it on my VISA!!!

Now are you sure?? Don't play with Steves emotions like that.:)

hey steve protege looks good. I know the diameter is just less than that of a dime, but what is the length without the atomizer?? Thanks

hey justchkn,

with adapter on, its roughly 3 3/8" long ... We are actually able to remove another 1/4 inch, so the final length should be just under 3 1/4" ...

As it stands now, it is 1/4" larger than a penstyle ... with the small revision, it should be roughly the same size as a penstyle length wise....

hope that helps :)

dammit steve, now i'm going to have to build a NEW case for THIS thing too!!

;)

but thanks for the rough dimensions, gives me a place to start! also glad to hear you like the 510 at 3.7v, that's what i was going to try. also have some 401 attys that aren't being used that may work well for this.

also curious, with the stainless steel, is it...silky and slippery? or is it fairly "grippy" surface?

I'm a still trying to figure out whether I will offer a bare bones kit minus an adapter for those that already have adapters from the PS USBpass ... We'll see.

If you offer a bare bones kit without an adapter, I'll be pre-ordering one AND ordering a Prodigy next week. Seriously :hubba:

Now, what's up with your PP?
