I got the two Cyptonite C8 v3 that I ordered in today....
I've only vaped on one of them for around 30 minutes now... so this is a very preliminary report
The top seal on v3 compared to the v1 seal is a big improvement. On v1 it was a real PITA knowing if you got the seal lined up properly or not, now on the v3 there is no question. I do need to refill the v1 that I have in order to do a comparison with flavor and overall performance traits of the two ( I simply can't remember that far back well enough to judge the two ). I can say that on the v3, I'm having to take primer puffs to avoid dry hits, I don't recall if that was an issue on the v1. I will likely trim and/or thin the wicks down to help address this minor issue some. Any mod's I do will have to wait until I've seen the performance over time and to ensure I don't cause other issues by doing them ( such as juice dumps and the like ).
Comparing the C8V3 to a Stardust Replaceable... the draw is a little bit lighter and the flavor is just barely a touch fuller/richer ... and the C8V3 hasn't had a chance to break in even yet. To me, the differences are so slight that the Stardust's replaceable heads ( or rebuildable if you chose too ) put the Stardust above the C8V3... If the C8V3 improves on flavor as much as the C8V1 did... that would make it almost a draw between it and the Stardust.
I see no reason to leave the C8V3 on a PV overnight when placing it upright into a glass can tell me as much if it does decide to dump the juice... why risk your PV until you are certain that there is little risk of a dump.
The initial impression I have is overall pretty good... now I just need to wait and see how it all pans out.
