I got the two Cyptonite C8 v3 that I ordered in today....

I've only vaped on one of them for around 30 minutes now... so this is a very preliminary report

The top seal on v3 compared to the v1 seal is a big improvement. On v1 it was a real PITA knowing if you got the seal lined up properly or not, now on the v3 there is no question. I do need to refill the v1 that I have in order to do a comparison with flavor and overall performance traits of the two ( I simply can't remember that far back well enough to judge the two ). I can say that on the v3, I'm having to take primer puffs to avoid dry hits, I don't recall if that was an issue on the v1. I will likely trim and/or thin the wicks down to help address this minor issue some. Any mod's I do will have to wait until I've seen the performance over time and to ensure I don't cause other issues by doing them ( such as juice dumps and the like ).

Comparing the C8V3 to a Stardust Replaceable... the draw is a little bit lighter and the flavor is just barely a touch fuller/richer ... and the C8V3 hasn't had a chance to break in even yet. To me, the differences are so slight that the Stardust's replaceable heads ( or rebuildable if you chose too ) put the Stardust above the C8V3... If the C8V3 improves on flavor as much as the C8V1 did... that would make it almost a draw between it and the Stardust.

I see no reason to leave the C8V3 on a PV overnight when placing it upright into a glass can tell me as much if it does decide to dump the juice... why risk your PV until you are certain that there is little risk of a dump.

The initial impression I have is overall pretty good... now I just need to wait and see how it all pans out.

Ok... a quick follow-up report...

I located and filled up my C8V1 so I could compare it to the v3 better... The C8V3 wins hands down on flavor and can be chain vaped more before getting a dry hit and needing a primer puff. In fact, the flavor of the Replaceable Stardust even beats the C8V1 by a quite a bit.

I'm really glad I didn't go off of memory now and took the time to verify it first...

I'd purchased the C8V1 at the end of March of this year and up to that point it was the best tasting and performing clearo I'd tried to date if I discount the juice dump issues... It just goes to show how much things have advanced in just 4 1/2 months...

Guess the little PT dongle is working well for most everyone. Nobody is saying anything, so........................no news is good news? Still loving mine. No issues. :)

Yeah... Mine is still working well. While I prefer my Legacy w/Kick since I can dial in the exact vape I prefer... the PT is close enough to work at the house. What I like the most is that I can charge both of my main PV's batteries at the same time to top them off for the next day and still have the PT to vape with...

mine would dump on the batteries pretty easily, sitting upright in a glass, I think maybe it happened once so thats not really a good test.

Thx 4 all the mojo, it worked. We had a successfull procedure, and the surgeon says my back is 5xs stronger than ever b4. Now its just a matter of a couple of weeks of letting the swelling come down. I will catch up and be around very sporatically, over the next 2 weeks, as the boss is limiting my use of her laptop. Thanks again guys and I'll talk 2 u soon

Are you talking about v1 or v3... it is hard to say since I mentioned both

in reference to the dumping I was talking about v1. I'm not having great luck with v3. its nice and easy to fill, but lot of dry hits. I turned down the lava tube to 3.5 volts and thats better than the 3.9 volts I use with everything else, but i didn't have this problem with the v1's. certainly not this bad and the I was mixing the liquid thicker then. i basically have to blow in it everytime to avoid dry hits. Contrast that with the lone CE2 supreme that i had left over from when they came out. i run that at 3.9 volts and as long as i tip it every so often, it vapes like a champ. hopefully it gets better. I really like them so they getting used one way or the other even if I have to blow in them every time before sucking.
