I haven't been able to use my Rocket in about a week.. hubby hasn't soldered my wire back on yet (grrrrrrrr!) I'm really, really missing my Rocket!!

Joeman... I've had the same problem with random tanks not working. I'm guessing it's something with the connection. Most dct's work, a few don't, but they work on my Twists... strange.

On a side note, I got my Vivi a few days ago and am still loving it! Anxiously awaiting the next round of alpha stuff!

lol Luvin....can you watch a video and perhaps do it yourself? Or, sit down in front of him and start to do it and see if he'll take it away and do it. Or.....grab some of toys and threaten to solder them together. (started to say goodies, but that didn't sound right).

Hoping to join y'all soon. Things are really starting to click more for me now.

See now, I would do that,,,except I don't even know what a soldering iron looks like  And honestly, his tool bench in the basement is a total mess!! I wouldn't even begin to know where to look for it! I'll get after him when he gets off the midnight shifts... I don't really want him attempting it when he's working midnights anyway:ohmy:

Also dont forget you cant use a soldering iron without a solder ironing board. So make sure you locate that as well as the soldering iron, before you begin.

Really want some bombs today, preferably the ones I'm interested in buying!

I've been saving up for the next drop and it's burning a hole in my pocket. I wish we could get a narrower time frame for these drops, I generally have to budget for it. Or a ballpark cost figure for each item so I know about how much I need to put back, erring on the side of excess.

Either way, I'm still grateful to be a part of Alpha :)

I agree. Its bad enough that we all act like a bunch of children at Xmas during the normal "postal waiting period". Now they have added a whole new dynamic to the equation. Will it be today? What will it be? Do I have enough $ stashed? Should I wait... Nah I'm gonna do it. I'm not sure I can deal with all this added excitement. When I was screened for this program nothing was said about getting clearance from my physician to confirm that I was healthy enough for all this added stress. As we all know I am a new guy around here. I think it would of been nice of the rest of you members to explain to me exactly why Bad goes by that name. Because this program is bad for my bank account and blood pressure.

It usually looks more or less like a screw driver with a bullet-shaped discolored tip. Have you ever seen or used a wood-burning tool from the craft store? Same thing. Maybe a bit bigger. Or not.

And you don't need to do it on his work bench, you know. You can do it on a kitchen table, using a board, or a brick, or anything that you don't care about putting a scorch mark on. Just sayin... :)

I need help with batteries...I want to get an extra set of batteries for my Rocket, and can't find these particular batteries anywhere. I also ordered a second Rocket where the batteries were DOA.

I was looking at the AW 18350? Would this work? A lot of the websites say NOT TO STACK THEM! Which they are in the Rocket.

If someone knows what batteries I can safely use in these I would greatly appreciate it, and a good supplier since GV doesn't sell them.

Waiting to see how much pestering it will take to get luvinit to try soldering. Incidentally this is on the same countdown as when there will be a few melt marks on the rocket. :p

Well now that you mention it :D I gave hubby a gentle reminder today, and he got out the iron (ok, I've seen one before but wouldn't have guessed that's what it was:facepalm:) Here's where we run into a problem... that little piece of brass colored metal that you have to solder the wire to??? I can't get it back into the housing. Can't remember for the life of me how it slides in there. Andybody got any pics so I can get a clue what I'm supposed to be doing? And it's so freakin tiny!! Hubby's big fat fingers don't help either. And now that I'm on the subject,,, what's to stop that piece of metal from sliding out again when I unscrew the bottom cap? Perhaps a little drop of glue to hold it in there? GAHHHH I hate this!! It was working just fine before I decided to mess around with it... learned my lesson! Thanks in advance for the help guys.. any and all pics are appreciated :)

Super T Manufacturing has the AW IMR 18350s. Which I actually put in my Rocket upon arrival yesterday, and still have in there now, going on 24hrs. The included batts read a little low on the meter so I put them on to charge, and put in the AWs in. For future reference for anybody, the Rocket will not work with flat top batts. They must have button or nipples on top of the batts. I initially tried a set of flat tops and it didnt work, so I added magnets and it fired right up nicely.

Use AW IMR 18350 to be specific... they use a safer chemistry so are less likely to vent and/or explode as the other lithium types

There should be a small slot where the 2 sides snap together at the bottom. Pop it open, slide it in, & snap closed again. Scroll back up & look at Mike's (I think) photo & it'll give you a clue.
