Stylish Variable 4-Stage Mini eGo PassThru 3.0-4.8 - Stainless - My impressions

Well I have not read the other reviews on this as I did not want to taint my thoughts LOL. This has a much nicer feel to it that the cyclone dongle. It has some heft and the ridges really make it comfortable in my hand. The button works well but it is the type of button that often gets stuck ( hopefully this will not happen) I do find however that I am not pushing the button hard enough at ties and the light flashes but I get no hit, I have to remember to push harder. I am not impressed with where the cord actually connects to the unit or the length of the cord. I imagine this will be broken soon so I am again using my hot dog bun carto tube fix.

So my impression is that if the button and cord do not become an issue its a nice lil unit to have around but I would not use it as my primary pv. OK now to see what everyone else thought LOL

I got the passthru today, too, and mine works - well kinda . I'm plugging it into a wall adapter and it will cycle through the different voltages, but it's as though it's not making good contact. I'm using a Phoenix I tried it on a Stingray battery and it works just fine.

Is there anything I can do to improve the contact?

I love the looks of this little thing -

Awwww That's to bad. That little pass through is working great for me so far. No problem changing volts at all. I used the viv, stardust, phoenix bc, pump cart and a super shorty 1.7 carto and it rocks them all.

OT I just got call a gv fangirl in another thread lol What grade are we in? lol lol

oh btw the usb extension cord was a great idea. I have a 20 foot one I can walk around my livingroom with it, though not a good idea with the dogs :)

U saw that thread. It wasn't very nice so I left before I could get in trouble. Hey, I I'm a fan girl, it's ok with me :)

I received my pass through as well. I am using a 2.6 ohm rebuildable stardust on it. I used it for 3 hours of driving today and found that it worked extremely well.

The one thing I noticed is that using my Samsung wall charger it doesn't work as well as my car charger does. I can cycle through the voltages but I don't believe it made much of a difference. However, on my car charger each light had a noticeable change. I double checked my wall adapter and it is 5V 1A. I believe my car charger is a 2A unit as it is for an iPad. I also had a lot of success using the pass through on my laptop's powered USB port.

I also had success on my Trent 11000 mah battery pack. It's also 2A built for iPad so that maybe a key. So now with this pass through I have a 11000mah PV pretty sweet.

I will be taking a 12 hour trip next week and plan on trying to make this the dedicated PV. I am extremely hopeful that this will be my backup PV and PV for long trips. I will let you guys know how that goes.

I personally like the feel and performance of this pass through better than my big brand kr808 pass through that was my previous emergency PV.

So overall, so far, it is a great small pass through that feels sturdy. Only time will truly tell what kind of beating it will take. But when this comes out I will more than likely purchase. I will post back in a few weeks and let you know how it goes.

most likely but who knows, the thread title and the post and post count all smell fishy, lol, i love how they lie just to troll, everyone knows by now how influential we where with the ce2 changes and many of our loyal posters where part of that revolution, everyone knows we worked with betterlife on phoenix improvements, everyone knows we helped with the nova, we named it for gods sake with the help form our helpers in the contest thread, and so much more, vision thanks us on their site and everyone knows this, microcig thanks us for all our help on their site right now and so do others, when we say we help improve products then its a fact that anyone can call the factory and ask, plain and simple. Some people rather spread lies but the truth is always more powerful. We have consistantly worked on products and improve them and like i said no one will ever say otherwise, no one has seen a factory dispute this claim, thats why we are famous.

JMA, make sure your wall adapter is capable of providing the amps needed to run the PT. Is it hitting but weak, or not hitting at all?

It's hitting, but very weak...I really don't understand the whole amp/mAh stuff - How do I know whether it's the adapter?
