they have shipped, it took a extra week becuase of newer version of the e1 and e2 so we waited but they still will go directly to alpha as promised, batteries and the tank(lav lamp looking ones) and dont worry the price will be untouchable by anyone

Sounds like you can probably save the rocket, but any idea why the vivi dumped? Was it maybe cuz the tank wasn't screwed on to the ring all the way? I check this a lot ever since I dumped a tank of juice in my lap by not making sure I was grabbing the ring rather than the tank to take it off the batt when I first got mine.

That's what is weird...I could understand if it came out where the plastic tank screws onto the metal base, but it seems to have come out through the bottom connection somewhere. If it trickled down the side, I don't know how it could have filled up the INSIDE of the Rocket casing.

I don't know if this could be it, but worth a check. The stone tanks stem screwed onto the the center post of the 510 connector. If the Vivi has the same arrangement the post could be loose allowing juice to leak out. I have not had a need to dissect a Vivi yet.

I do kinda wonder if those center posts can loosen a bit when you tighten/unscrew the heads a lot. Probably be a good idea to hold on to the post when doing that. I only have one and it's what I'm vaping right now, so can't really inspect how well that tube is welded or whatever to the bottom plate, but will when I change juice.

That's what I figured! I saw them for sale almost 3 weeks ago but figured GV would be improving them before selling them. :)

actually the factory found the issue, whats crazy is in the last month 4 factories stopped lines to fix products, some have gone out of their way to show me and that they will make improvements. so its a good sign. For this product they let me know there was some minor issues and they worked on them so it took a little longer but thats what this is about, so if they made improvements then its better we wait, a week wont kill us lolol.

the more they see products become successful the more other factories will try to improve, im also not a fool and know some just blow smoke up our butts as well and thats what you work to avoid but there are many good people there who are slowly seeing the light of day and doing the the right thing. Some make improvements and it works, some make changes to no avail and those are the ones we also move away from.

Exact same thing happened to me last wk. haven't had a chance to look it over and see why it happened all of a sudden

The Rocket is a fine little APV but dumping juice inside will be an ongoing problem with potentially disastrous end results unless owners find a way of sealing the top from leaky Vaporizer. My idea, post #1843 solved the problem for me though esthetically it may not be a solution for most.

Kellymcm's method with Nail Polish, post #1844 might be a better solution for some, probably requiring two or three coats. With a little imagination it could end up being decorative. :)

Whatever solution owners come up with I strongly suggest a plugged shorty 510 extension, it will make whatever solution you come up with a lot easier. If you don't have a sealed 510 extension just plug the hole with a toothpick to keep juice from seeping through the vent hole.

I was just thinking that it would be nice if in the alpha description or in the thread here we could get the reason they are going into alpha first instead of general population so we have an idea of what we are getting into.

maybe its just no time to test for most of them or maybe its that it doesn't seem to wick well but we need a larger test base etc.

isn't this what the alpha program is for, test things out and have it fixed before going mainstream? Its like a 2 second fix at the factory, either change the connector or seal it. try as hard as you want, these cartomizers leak. I would have thrown out both lavatubes already if they didn't have sealed connectors.

If I recall correctly, originally the Rocket was going to the main inventory and it was only after they ( GV ) had tried samples and changed their mind... people started asking for them anyway so they were given another chance by being placed into the Alpha test

yea, i'm just saying that the owners shouldn't have to find ways to seal it, the factory should fix it. Obviously thats fine if they are alpha units for alpha owners, but I can't see selling them mainstream at higher prices, it would be a disaster when they get ruined from a leaking cartomizer.

I have one of the "lava lamps". I have been lucky and never seen a leak with it as long as I tighten up all the pieces. I will be picking up a couple more of them. The only issue I saw with them was some dry hits if the juice got really low....as long as the juice was no lower than the bottom of the clear "window"....nothing but great performance. I look forward to the new improved version.

I just saw the rocket for sale at another vendor (just browsing of course:)) for the same price as here.
