I have not the fever just started last night. I'll see what my doctor says, but I don't think I'll be leaving the house today. Pray for Mrs. Skeebo, I can be...... well, a man when I get sick. I did find a box of expired Theraflu in the medicine chest.

    I don't think it's that serious.

Prayers and good thoughts for both of you:wub:

My wife got the flu about a month ago. She said last night that she was glad she got it when she did or she'd be worried she had the virus. She had really bad body aches with it. I'm sure it didn't help that she has fibro.

I'm sure that didn't help her at all. Hopefully, she won't get anything else.

amazon now has estimated delivery times for oos items. They encourage pre-ordering to be sure to get it. Who knows if its worth that or not but is something to consider.
I noticed that on amazon. We have more than most. I think I went to Walmart 6 times, grocery store 4 times, CVS 3 times, just in the last week. I have so much food in the freezer I had to relegate a box of nic to the refrigerator from the freezer. It'll be fine. :) TP and a hoard of food that wouldn't fit in the pantry I stored in the basement. Same with my parents. We are loaded for now. I even got dry milk. I'm not worried at all. A little exhausted from trying to think of staples for everyone and doing all the shopping, but not worried. I actually like having everything we will need for a long long time. After this virus, I'm changing my shopping ways. I will be making a monthly meal plan and buying everything we will need for at least a month. Normally I'm going to the store about every 2 or 3 days. Gets old. I'm loving it. I am having to keep my son away from the pantry though...like a human food vacuum cleaner. o_O

Keep in mind, I'm looking for that grand slam chocolate recipe so my standards are very high.
I would drop the TFA chocolate and sub FA Cocoa (or HS Australian chocolate or VT dark chocolate) I have a pre-made smores and adding FA Cocoa did the trick (but I do tend to like darker chocolate)

Everyone's taste is different. I also dislike dark chocolate.

If I got sick--which is unlikely since I never leave my house and don't have visitors--the only reason I'd get tested to find out whether I had COVID-19 is that then I wouldn't have to worry about catching it anymore. I'd feel like I'd acquired a superpower!

I’d easily prefer getting coronavirus over receiving the financial damage I have already incurred plus what is still to come. Don’t even have to think twice about it.

I’ve heard there are cases of reinfection.

I’m almost off the clock! I was thinking...I’ll save quite a bit of gas money by both of us not driving 60 miles round trip each daily. :thumb:

That's for sure with the price of gas.

Not sure if I already mentioned this but our local college got a case of the virus (a teacher). My daughter works for the City in the finance dept. and she was told to go home and be self quarantined because of her serious health conditions. At least she is here with the 9-year-old to teach him lessons given by the school.

I have TP, I have paper towels, I have water, and I finally have some food. I have heat, and I still have a job for the foreseeable future.. although we may be delayed with being able to catch fish. We still have plenty of work to do, even if we can't go set nets. I have 5+ lbs of coffee :D, a half pound of yerba mate, 42+ years of nic :D, and 6 terabytes of movies and TV. I'm better equipped than I was a few hours ago, thanks to a small grocery trip and finally scoring some more TP. (I wasn't one of those guys and hoard it all, I bought one 12 pack of the good stuff, so that others could get theirs too). Helps to have an enormous backpack, and a very nice giant fridge/freezer. A little bit here and there every day, and I'll be sitting pretty.
As of today is 2 years abstinence for me of alcohol and drugs, and despite the current climate/situation and being away from my wife and pup for quite a while(possibly indefinitely), I have no desire at all to enter that rabbit hole! I'm still a bit overwhelmed with it all, and I have some major cleaning that needs to be done.. but I'm just going to focus on this and that instead of everything at once.. and when I get settled more, I need to start mixing. I still have a decent supply of mixed juices, but it's a nice distraction. Hope things aren't too crazy for you all.

I agree 100%. My 401k was down 30% yesterday. I'm not even going to look after today's market. I'm not stressing too much since I have at least 15-17 years before retirement but it is hard looking at those big numbers in the loss column.

An economy is the foundation of any and all civilizations. Sometimes I think people forget that.
