I have had that one for a month and it seems to be fluctuating

Well, I will do that. I am going to do an identical rebuild, I don't like that coil.

JeremyR----the rayon whispererPlease post a picture after 3 or more days with that wick. This will tell me the story, the Rayon will speak to me. power and vape style will also infer on the wick design.
It sounds like you may need more thinning in the main tail of the wick. A few days will tell. If so I'll have you do another 45° angle cut on main portion of the wick.
It really is best to do this with the same wick, your tweeking it in use... It will respond instantly and you'll be able to tell if it improved in less than an hour. The color of the wick will get lighter or clearer. No need to start over again, cause then your dealing with other variables again.
For me and others rayon is about reducing the work load or vaping. I go months without rebuilding or rewicking. I literally went nearly all summer without doing anything with my vape but filling and vaping.
lol,,i tend to finish up after an episode like this by looking at who ever is nearby and say,,, you know i can rebuild a carburetor.--but it has been years!I just built and set a clapton rayon wick(.6ohm) into my TFV4, filled it and ARG..it leaks almost the entire tank before I could syringe the juice out. The thing I hate most about the TFV4 is that you cant take the head out of the base without disturbing the wick. So I spun the top off, fiddled and poked with the wick thinking maybe that was it since I cant see the bottom juice channels, I was flying blind. Refilled it and GEZZZZ it was leaking again just as bad. Take apart again, this time I cut a little piece of rayon, folded it over and stuffed it into the side and worked it down thinking maybe there was a space at the bottom causing the leak, knowing that rayon sticks to itself like glue. Gezzz it leaked again so this time I was going to remove the head and rewick thinking the tails were too short but really I didn't know the problem. Unscrewed the top cap off and noticed I was missing the oring where the top cap screws into the chimney, I got a old protank oring that looked close enough to fit, slapped her all back together and SUCCESS no leaking. I have it sitting on a stand on a paper towel to make sure its not seeping.
How something simple like a oring can cause such a hassle and mess.
I just picked up my mod which has been laying on its side for the past 8 hours, hit the button and perfect vape. With cotton it would at least have been flooded and at most leaked a boatload.
You don't realize the little things after a long time, go a short time without them and the little things start showing up again.
Let's stick with small potatoes for the moment, I have trouble letting something stay in an attys for 2 let alone this 3 day test
But right now flavor is great, production is good, thinking I may need to drop to 26 or 28, to much heat retention in 24g
Yeah after 1 1/2 days, trying to remember to keep pulling it was pretty gunked up. Only issue with lower than 24 is I think it is too damn flimsy.Lol, done.
Just had the throw it in there for readers.
Great definitely run it and see how it responds with the tails cut like that.
Yeah the 24 is a Heat sink, once you get it hot it will be hot for a while afterwards. You can still get vapor with the retained heat for a few seconds after letting off the button.
Thank you for my freedom and I thank you for your service brother!!!!Hey, if it will keep me in the military for my last 5 years, I consider it minor.

So you do diy, I've found that for my good friend he vapes my diy that he finds better than his commercial juice, of the same flavor. He was rewicking every day, and is now going a week between rewicking. Sadly to say I still can't get him off cotton bacon. But at least he is getting longer life from my diy. He is going through at least 150 Mls a week. (Truck driver)I will say, I don't really have the patience to leave it long, and my juice gunks it pretty bad. Still working on that fact, dealing with finding a sweet spot so I can get more than 50 ml through it

Helps a lot!!!I twist 28 and it's fairly durable but still has a tendency to retain heat, I just pull an extra second or so after releasing the fire button. It's a difficult habit to form.
I'm going to try today! My rayon came. I will use this for reference. I will try & post pics. Welcome any feedback since it's my first time trying with rayon. Thanks again!Alright, fresh build, fresh wicking.![]()

Going to do Jeremy's three day Challenge. See if I can remember to let the button go early and see what happens. Oh not using my juice, will use CCI Stonewall (not endorsing, just what my wife picked up for me since I am not allowed to drive,) and that will be the only juice I use for the duration of this little endeavor. Any thoughts on the wicking?
