Yes indeed, I would rebuild and see what you come up with, look into picking up some 26g wire and maybe some 24g if you want to go higher up the power chain.
OK, sorry, I jacked up, it is 26, this is what I get typing on heat exhaustion

Then those are all acceptable numbers and power setting for a warm vape. It is possible you can't feed the 2.5's fast enough to not dry hit, have you tried 3mm coils?
Yes, but as soon as I try wicking them it seems the rayon wants to pull it out of whack

Ok, educate me. What "can" I do with TC that I "cannot" do without it? I'm serious. Always looking to make my vaping better.

Sorry, after your initial statement, it's difficult to take you being "serious"! Either you have tried TC, and for whatever reason did not care for it, or have not tried it and formulated an uneducated opinion.

I don't really care how people vape, what products they use, mods, coils etc. Whatever works for you, but discounting another way of doing something that is working for many is foolish. Nothing wrong with vaping with VW/VV on a simple Kanthal coil, but there is a whole other world out there, that appeals to people looking for more control of their Vape. The benefits of TC control is well documented and I'm not stupid enough to be baited into making a list for you, that you are already aware of, nor is it appropriate to hijack this thread which is about the benefits of rayon wicking! Good luck.

Ok thanks

I have a TC mod and haven't used it as I don't have a wire that will work with it. I am thinking about getting the new Innokin mod that will work with SS.

I don't bait. No time for that.

I suppose that I am a moderate vaper that uses a tank with glass. If I was a very low ohm vaper with a dripper or squonker that is on the verge of a dry hit at any moment, TC would be a blessing.

Pocket fire your device for 15+ seconds without burning your wick or juice.

Take a five second pull at 420°, take a three second pull at 420°, take a...etc

Run out of juice mid-pull at 45 watts without burning the wick or at a minimum getting a dry hit.

Temperature control may not be for everyone, that doesn't mean it doesn't have merit.

Make no mistake, there is a learning curve with TC, for that reason alone, it's not for everyone. Many, like myself like a new challenge, new technology. I did not jump in early, I thought it was a fad, something to get people to buy more products, like 3D TV's. So I waited, I read, I watched videos, and best of all, I learned from those that blazed the trail before me, most of those were members here on ECF. I admit, if someone is not open minded about it, or just likes to keep things simple, then there is no huge advantage, because if you don't do it correctly, then it's doomed to failure, like most things in life. Sure, I still have issues with various brand mods, and their wacky TCR values, but I am stiil devoted to making the technology work for ME. And I can tell you from following as many threads as I have time for, many, many people screw it up, for many reasons, and then discount it and go back to doing what they were comfortable with, which is human nature.

It's not just about avoiding "dry hits", one huge benefit is never exceeding the temperature were the creation of the "bad" chemicals can be created. Now and then I still fire up one of my MECH mods, but I'm careful, as there is no feedback as to what temp your juice can get to. This info is out their on the web.

You can certainly get a fine and rewarding vape without ever getting into TC vaping, but if you ever start wondering what are all of those other settings, on most new modern mods are for, then you may want to give it a real shot.

OK, so I have some 26GA SS316L coming in from Temco here soon (I hope). Since I have a mod that supports it in TC mode I think I'll check it out. Any links for TC noobs?

Anyone know where I can purchase a small amount of rayon for cheap? I was rebuilding today and ended up pulling the whole thing out. Turns out I only had about 6 inches left and its going to be a minute before I can go by Sally's and get another box. Probably gonna go ahead and get the big boy this time when I can since I bought the "small" last time and my "lifetime" supply went quicker than expected. Guess I gave away a little too much to potential converts. Lol

For me, the biggest advantage to TC is the option to throw as much power at a coil as needed for zero ramp up time. The coil heats up quickly and does not overheat. It has also saved me once or twice when I forgot to open the JFC after filling a tank. Last but not least battery efficiency. Once the coil reaches the desired temp, only the power needed to maintain it is used. On my current 0.22 ohm build, it does make a tremendous difference.

I have 316 SS in 22, 24, 28 and 32 if you care to try any. Also titanium in 24. TC on a mod that does it right is a beautiful thing.

That's the kind of thing that I was looking for. Something that makes a difference that makes you take a second look. ty

Here's another, I like to change flavors, to test them. You can "almost" vape a wick completely DRY (cotton or rayon), not get a dry hit while doing it, vapor just drops off, put 1 ml of new flavor in, taste your new flavor. Depending on the flavors, you may taste some of each for a few hits, some call this "vaping through", but the time saving is great, not having to clean the entire tank, and rewicking.

I got these the other day and think the packing is the neatest I've seen from anyone. Hotcig FEV V3s -

Really Nice box... no v4 clones yet?. I got two v3 with the blue case last year...

And I'm vaping on the bachelor the last few days... Changed the orings on it and it fixed some issues.. Smaller coil opened up the draw, been vaping well... Really don't like the wide bore tips myself.. Way to open to collecting junk.
