GearBest is China. Sometimes they have really awesome flash sales, I'll accept the wait.

For my SDNA dna 75 mods I went with ecig.com, again excellent prices (I only paid $50 each) and US based. The rubbery coating feels great though it'll show wear; otoh I use them in rough conditions so can't complain about a few beauty marks.

I'm happy enough with the gear I have to wait for sales on new widgets.

For me, I've had good luck with fasttech, GearBest, and heaven gifts. I've done enough orders over the last year to have used CS with all of them, gotten good results. Their ecf reps are also super useful to help chase down any outlier issues if you aren't happy with the initial CS response.

Hi guys. I saw a rayon wicking video (can't remember when) and the guy did not put a bunch of rayon in the coil. The amount he put in was able to slide back and forth nor did he have to brace the coil to keep it from deforming. This goes against everything I've read here about wicking with rayon. Has anyone done this before? I'm getting long break-in time with rayon.

Edit: Funny. I wasn't even looking for posts about rayon but I stumbled across this post by a member here named Bad Ninja:

Rayon is more efficient.

Use a little less than cotton and be sure it's not tight in the coil.

If you get any funny taste from rayon you have it wicked too tight.

I remember on YouTube "advancedvapesupply" used rayon in his vids like 2 months back on most everything recently at least in vids he's not using rayon anymore. He wicked rayon like you said @Herrick he pretty much treated it like cotton. Confused me too like @Herrick said it was contrary to all we've learned here. I pretty much just stuck to what I learned here.

If you have long break in time it might because you wicked it a bit too tight. @JeremyR stated that on page 1 of this thread. Try going a little less tight next time.

Yeah maybe I'm just going overboard. I don't know how much rayon I used last time so I don't know how to gauge how little to use next time. This is one of the reasons why I was really interested in RxW. You don't have to eyeball it or go by feel. Just build the recommended coil size for the diameter of RxW, screw it in and that's it. There is no risk over-wicking or under-wicking. Alas, I don't think RxW would work for the bigass juice holes in some of these big tanks. It sure didn't work in my Engine Nano.

Listen for the squeak when you pull the wick back & forth, you should hear it squeak. Then to check if you have enough wick after you juice it up take something pokey & push on the wick where the coil ends you shouldn't have a gap. Don't worry you'll get it. Everything that's new takes a little bit of effort. But well worth it. My wick lasts so long now compared to constantly rewicking with cotton. What is RxW?

I haven't heard the squeak before. I must be using way too much rayon!

ReadyXWick is a ceramic wick. You just dryburn it to cleanse it. It can last a very long time.

A trick I use is to deliberately start with too much, then thin just a little at a time until I'm satisfied with the density. Rayon is cheap enough, especially in the jumbo boxes, that a little waste is no big deal at all.

Do you get the squeak?

Here's the video. He starts putting it through the coil at around 6:03.
I have watched a few of his videos before, he uses very little cotton density too.
The main thing to keep in mind is the build. That looks like a tiny 28g coil, probably coming out around 1 ohm. (I didn't listen to the video to see what it was.) The Reo mechanical squonker he is using would run that 1 ohm coil at 17W with a freshly charged battery. The way he is using Rayon doesn't need to follow the rules since the coil gets a totally soaked after each vape.

I think you will find that leaving the coil loosely packed will give a noticeable sizzle for a quite a bit after you let go of the button.
