If it's thick already I would definitely thin the tails less, in atomizers that tend to eventually flood on me I don't thin the tails at all.

The Dvarw is one that has a tendency to flood on me due to overwicking, on it I don't thin at all and even run 80 VG/PG.

Oddly the Dvarw is not my problem child, it’s the doggy. I’m also thinking maybe it’s that the weather is warmer and perhaps my 50/50 juice is thinning.

It can happen, on flat decks without raised airflow it just keeps wicking juice until it floods the platform and goes into the airflow.

It doesn't generally happen on well designed devices.
What tanks of yours does this happen with? Most of my tanks are clones of over-priced ones.

I also use 70 to 80% PG liquids.

Rayon stopped my leaking and flooding COLD.

IDK man, is the new version of the doggy or the old one? I must say in either one I have never experienced leaking and I have put a ton of really sh:censored:y wicks in there during my time with the doggy. I will admit I have wondered JUST how badly I can wick it, like none, and what would happen (but I have leaked enough for my entire lifetime.)

If you are top filling and flooding I guess make sure the JFC is closed which is EXTREMELY hard to do you gotta get a drip tip that will make that sucker move.

IDK though.

I just wanted to mention if you have a leaky tank you may want to try replacing the o-rings if you have spares, sometimes they look visually fine but aren't in some way.
That could be my problem-these have been in rotation for a few months now but just recently started having problems. Thanks!!

Steamcrave Aromamizers, a couple of Augvape Intakes and a few Augvape Merlins.

I wish it were true for me. As I must have something like 12 Aromamizers. As I really want to like them. The only Augvape tank I have is the Boreas. Which is very much like the Aromamizer, but it never caught on well. I dunno what it is, but I taste a lot of SS from them. I also have an Indulgence Mutation XL v3 RDA with tons of SS and I don't recall all of that SS taste. Maybe I should fire it up again to refresh my memory.

Also when I moved from MTL to DL vaping, horizontal coils just doesn't cut it anymore. They just lack flavor. And having airflow slamming into a brick wall called a wet wicked coil, dazed and confused ending up bouncing off in many directions until the vacuum pulls them out, just doesn't make much sense to me. Whereas a vertical coil is like a high speed train and takes onboard any vapor it comes across for a ride. ;)

Perhaps the fact that I don't use any PG in my liquids is one of the reasons I don't suffer from unexpected leaking. I have been unflavored for about the last year and a few months, just recently started adding flavors back in a couple weeks ago. My wife has been using flavored the whole time. Either way, I buy VG based nic, most of my flavorings do not use PG as a carrier and even if they did I seldom approach 10% flavoring by weight.

Curious, why do you use 100% VG?

IDK about this viscosity thing. I am fairly certain wicked correctly a tank might be totally fine, full of water. I mean, you couldn't vape it, but I bet there are some vapers who could make it work.

I might try it if we HAD a challenge/competition. I would select a doggy style clone, make a fairly large ID coil and like wick it like crazy. I would not leave it upon a mod but a mod stand? Probably. I'm game. I have often thought a doggy style would vape fine with NO wick at all, a challenge I ALSO have not tried.

If you are going for giant clouds, there are folks who use max VG. I cannot tolerate more than 10% PG (sensitive not allergic, if I go higher I get pins and needles sensations.) I have vaped 90VG in lots of tiny MTL tanks. After a while, I thinned with water too but you can make it work. Then I kind soul introduced me to PEG 400 and all was right in my world. It's thinner than PG but less viscous than VG but I still make a mean cloud. It means no stealth vaping for me, thankfully snus exists.

However, especially if you aren't flavoring some folk just like max VG. I don't so much mainly because I feel it makes my flavors taste muddy. But you can vape a ton of VG in a small MTL tank if you have to, I've done it.

For the challenge, I would still use rayon. Although, it would be fun to hear what everyone else uses and what happens, heh.

No flooding here with any of the Steam Crave tanks. I use the Supreme V2 (Velocity Deck), Plus (Postless, Velocity and Mesh Deck), Titan (Postless, Velocity Decks) or Glaz V1 (Postless Deck).
It works great on my 35 mm Ragnar with the mesh deck also.
