Fa-Q, the Eviva is very easy to fill and drain, but its important your wick is up against the juice hole. All I do is take off the top cap (remove the drip tip first, at least if it has a flange on it). When I fill it, I do invert it for the last turn of the top cap. Sedge does it by just turning the top cap very slowly. To drain it because I want to rewick and its not empty, I just take off the top cap, and pour it back into the bottle. I don't even have to block the airholes. Hope that helps.

Got to chime in that I've found a new EASY way to improve my favorite mode of vaping (dna40 TP mode).
I've gotten some 50ft. of Titanium wire from Amazon; .5mm (24g), and it takes my single strand 30g Ni200 to a whole new level!

Tons of vapor and more flavor... I've got my 3 units in this stuff; 6 to 8 wraps... wow!

the pic doesn't show much but that is 24g wire!
Haven't done that in at least a year after moving to 30g kanthal and Ni200.
I like 30g kanthal and 1. to 2 ohms with 4 to 5+ volts much better these days too.
Of course TP is what makes the titanium 24g wire so great now.

I know a lot of folks using dna40 Tp were doing wrapped Ni wire and tricks but I never got into that fancy stuff.
I guess I got lucky ... with Ti wire its just a simple wrap and lots of benefits. :)
Now if only Evolv would update the dna 40 to detect whether it was Nickel or Titanium...

I guess i should have been more specific. It's not difficult as i do exactly as you mentioned, it's just not as easy as say the Rose, K4, Aqua, Phenom, Taifun, etc. The top cap is thin, doesn't have much to grab on to. Also, when i flip it to finish screwing on the top cap i always get a little leakage out from where the chimney seals against the top cap. This is not that big a problem, quick wipe with a napkin or something, but when you're out and about it's just one more thing to fiddle with.

Oh how i wish the Eviva-T had a plastic tank like the Phenom Lite. So easy to fill and would look great.

You can buy a plastic tank for the Eviva. I bought one and never used it, lol!

I haven't gotten any leakage, so maybe you're flipping a little too soon? Or I've gotten lucky. I'm also lucky my top cap comes off easily I guess. Its my original Phenomenon I have trouble filling. I was bottom filling it, but one day my chimney slipped and I lost all my juice. And when I top fill it sometimes I have trouble getting the top cap back on. My chimney (or the base threads) are a hair crooked. I need to get a Zest top fill cap.

My Eviva has been one of my easiest to fill though. None are as easy as the Taifun or eXpromizer though, this is true.

I have the plastic tank and have used it from day one. Maybe i'm flipping too early or the metal tank tolerances are better. Idk, but i'm using it right now in my office with a huge smile on my face :).

I only have the Phenom Lite but i can see how filling the original version would be more difficult. Definitely get the Zest cap, i've not had any leaks what so ever from the Lite cap which is basically the same seal as the Zest.

Id did take some getting used to, especially since I had been using my old Odysseus for so many years..... If you overfill, leakage can happen and like ROxy said, maybe you are flipping too soon.

I also find that if I open the AFC after I turn it over, combined with too overfill , I might get some leakage.....

One other thing..... when cleaning and changing coils, make sure there is NO water in the air channels, that too will cause an inbalance when filling and minor leaks..

Blow out the air intake to make sure there is no juice or water.....

Yep. I always have water after washing. If I've disenfected it for a sale, I let it thoroughly dry on its own, but if I'm going to vape it, I blow it out with my mouth, lol!

I just finished walking a newbie through her first RTA :). She PMed me for ideas about 2 weeks ago, picked out a Prometey 2 clone to start. Got it built today and is very happy :). She's getting the new Lemo next.

Sorry, Rant Time... my first anyway.

...and I have always [successfully] talked / walked newbies out from buying counterfeits [clones]. If I'm a serious vaper, an experienced vaper, a knowledgeable vaper - and when s/he specifically seeks my opinion b'coz of that - I believe I will be doing a disservice to the community if I suggest him/her a counterfeit [clone].

There's no honor in discussing counterfeits [clones] let alone buying and using them. It's also appalling that folks throw in pics of them, sing accolades and feel happy about it. What, for a $20 item, which is also a replica (thus rip-off) of someone else's hardwork / brainwave? It is further deplorable when the propagator is also on hi-end gears, even if s/he is owner of a few. So, where's the accountability? The integrity, of the [supposedly] maestro?

If the question is of affordability, then there are good originals which cost much less, just a tad more than the counterfeits [clones]. And many of them work splendidly as we know. So, why suggest a counterfeit [clone]? Incidentally vaping circuit is also the only one where counterfeits are called 'clones' (sic)!

There are many higher influences [organizations] which are seriously going head-on as we write, trying to cut our vaping privileges, and by God the furure is scary. Then we ourselves are also fueling the downfall of this industry by propagating the counterfeits [clones], If they succeed, which by God they might - then we are equally to blame as well. This would be stupefying.

Sorry, rant over.

Fa-Q. My Eviva-T plastic tank always allowed leaks. Never with the metal.

Funny you should mention that..... Yesterday I put the new Phen lite all clear tank on and had a major leak..... most likely filled it wrong.....

Then after I got it sorted out and working perfectly, I HAD to go and get picky about the drip tip, not looking quite right......I was fiddling with to get it on straight and wouldnt you know it, I pulled the tank off and spilled 4ml of juice down the GP and down my hand and sleeve.....

With my stupid hands and propensity to "accidents" I dont think Im going to use that tank..... Too bad, it looks great...... :(

Avid it does look great with the full PMMA tank. Once you have it on you only need to remove it to rewick it right? How often do you rewick your tank?

If I stick with my DIY, then I can refill many times and rewick every couple days...... Im just a bit awkward..... I will try it out a few more times......I like the all clear tank, but I LOVE the more steel look.

By the way, the Phen on the left is my V1 with Zest base and Phen lite top sleeve.....

How big of a difference in airflow is there between the Lite and Zest? Is the flavor changed much?
You can always dial back the author airflow. The difference is this.

Original 2 x 0.8mm air holes
Zest 2 x 1.0mm air holes
Lite 2 x 1.0mm, 1 x 0.8mm air holes

How does the draw feel on the Zest compared to the Lite if you've tried both? I think that's how I should've worded the question. For me the Lite is borderline tight with it wide open. I'm thinking the Zest wouldnt do it for me.

Try raising the coil a tad.... makes a BIG difference.... On the original base I could get a better draw lifting higher, but then the TH would be a touch more pronounce..... I use the Zest base and found a big difference...... I do notice that sometimes if Im not careful, my wick tails can hinder the airflow.....

Just something to think about.....

If you like more air, you might think about the Flash-e-Vaper..... with the 1.6 air its fine for me, great taste, lots of air flow.... Before I got the 1.6 screw for air , I was using it without the screw and though much airier, it still had lots of taste.......

I was really conflicted about the Flash-e...... I kinda thought it was too big and kinda odd looking...... Not that it was not beautifully made, but just more busy than I liked.....It looked like a really expensive orthopedic drill made in Germany, pure mechanical beauty.....

I did get one and it sits on my GP X..... It took no time to look past the contrast and fall in love.....Phenom still has a notch more flavor, but not by much.....Another one you might like, especially if you want tons of air is the TIlemahos with AFC..... FOr me the AFC base was too much..... but not lacking in flavor.....
