SO far Im really enjoying the GS 2. Maybe its beginners luck , I did have to set it up 2 times and my combo of real fluffy long wick tails, stacked high and the ss mesh stuffed inside the PTFE tubes. Great vape, so far no leaks nor dry hit.

That's great to hear :D Beginners luck? NO. I have see alot of your threads and builds and your work with very advanced atomizers. I'm just a noob here :D That was ingenious . I never thought of putting the mesh in the PTFE :) May I ask? Did you use [HASHTAG]#400[/HASHTAG] mesh?

Oh good, you got the nickel plated Opus, I think it looks much better ;)

Edi: of course, the black still looks really good, and I think the real star of the show is the DNA200 anyways though, amirite? :)

I totally agree about the DNA200 being the star of the show :). I think Evolve needed some competition to really shine :) I want to give it a few weeks use before I say anything more than I love the feel of it and thus far it is doing it's job well:)

I finally found time to build my GS2. I used the PTFE wicks. The trick is to push them in a bit past flush so they are pressing against the top of the wick shoulders. I used a 3mm ID coil so there would be big, fluffy shoulders. Position the shoulders so they extend to the side horizontally instead of sloping down in an arc. The juices wells are packed full.

6 wraps of 26g kanthal at 0.84 ohms.

The 3-hole upper ring wide open gives a very airy draw, especially when coupled with the bottom ring wide open.

Once I dialed the PTFE wicks in, I haven't had any gurgling or flooding. Vapor is thick and moist and flavor is fantastic. I'm vaping at 25 watts with no issues of dry hits.

while im waiting for that little beauty to wing its way here, i am going to set about building the Taifun GS2 that finally turned up yesterday! I am currently mesh-less somehow, so a bit of innovation might ne necessary...wish me luck!

Happy vaping times they are :)
