nope...I really did it just for fun. I was so impressed that you would actually want that butterfly I just couldn't see you having to live without one...LOL. And you really are fun to have around. I don't know how the other vendors do it but I feel bad that I can't give everyone a prize. And having people act like good sports really makes my life more pleasant. yea....not bad huh?....LOL.....and now......the story of CalamityJan's lanyard....ya'll may know that Jan won the black/red raven lanyard from the Christmas/squirrel contest. But the plot thickens.....I spent a whole day tearing the house apart trying to find the darn thing....just ask Steve....he had to listen to the whining all day.....and could not find it. Finally had to PM Jan and tell her....of course I offered to make her something new and she said that was fine just as long as I didn't go out and buy new stuff just for her. OK....being a good Buddhist and respecting her wishes I start scanning my stuff for something suitable...and am not liking what I find....a week goes by.....and finally.....woohoo.....I think it all just came together. This won't look like much to a lot of people but I bet it looks like a lot to Jan. :O) Jan...I grew up all along the CA coast....so Chumash is the tribe I'm most familiar with....hence the seashells. And the bone beads are what is left of a 35 yr old medicine hanging I STILL have hanging over my bed. It broke at one point and those are what I saved of the original trade beads. Happy New Year Jan!!!

oh yea....ultimately I did find the original lanyard....all neatly boxed in a nice jewelry box ready to send....go figure...but by then I had had the "feeling" that it wasn't the right one so karma wins again!

Oh yeah, you totally did it! Lorikay that is absolutely georgous, I mean it is sooooo me! The colors are perfect and the mandela center is iconic of my native heritage! You are a magician with the beads 'cause it takes a special eye and talent to put together something so awesome. I can't wait til it arrives! I have never had a lanyard so this is starting with the Rolls Royce of creations.

Ripple, LK captured your esoteric spirit! That is a true hippie bead-fest if I ever saw one... so perfect for you!
