Okay guys.. just a heads up - today is a very bad day. Very bad.

That said; I went ahead and put the exact same build on the Hastur that I have on the silverplay since I needed to rewick an RDA this morning anyway - I could manage it. (I have no idea why I always decide I can manage.. haha)

It didn't go well with the Hastur for some reason. Probably the pain, but I put the new build in, wicked her up, filled the tank and began vaping.

The taste wasn't there, At All, and after a few puffs it started dumping out all the juice from the airflow.. lol. So I removed the tank from the mod and yes, with the new seated design we can rewick with juice still in the tank, just have to flip it over and stand it on the drip tip. Yea!

Of course, I accidentally knocked it over during the rewicking, and lost the rest of the juice anyway.. lol.. keep that in mind, move it farther away from the work space.

So. I rewicked the Hastur and changed the position of the coil to a little closer to the airflow. I think between building/wicking the silverplay lately and a pain addled mind I'm not remembering the best position for flavor.

Flavor is far far better now, but not as good as the silverplay - have to admit that silverplay has the best flavor of any RTA I've ever used so I might just be spoiled now I don't know..

But - I might have to reposition the coil again a little too and it might be the same...

But so far, no leaking and it's doing good. The flavor is good on this.. I'm happy with the fix.. just having a really bad day..

It'll be a couple days before I mess with it again..

We all do the above every now & then. But mission accomplished yay! And you weren’t at your best so double yay!

Goes to show you, the Silverplay didn’t get the best reviews.

Continue feeling better!

I still absolutely love the silverplay.. why weren't people in the thread not liking it?

Just curious..

I don’t think it was people in the thread as much as the reviewers not raving about it.

Well I love it.. it's more old school in the design, a little more fiddly to build and wick because of the design..

but it's an awesome design, the flavor is out of this world good, the airflow on point and unless I let it sit without vaping it for a week it doesn't leak..wicks beautifully..

Do make sure the wick tails are not too long. (On the mini you need to keep it off the deck).
Obviously hands and health allowing.
Hope things improve.

I'm using the original Hastur (not the mini).. I've been using it for well over a year now and this is honestly the first problem day with it..

It's just health issues/pain atm causing all the issues. Can't think straight.

I hear you bud.
After a number of ops for a knackered spine I'm in the mri next week to prepare for the next one.
Mrs wing's also suffers with a multitude of arthritic issue's (not ideal in a british winter).
It can be a chore sometimes.
Take it easy.

I had a spine fracture over two decades ago, had two surgeries at the time and ended up paralyzed in a wheelchair. 2 years later feeling returned (albeit with severe nerve damage even still) but developed CRPS immediately following in both legs.. I believe the doctor's have always treated me as a worst case scenario where concerns the CRPS. At this point I have severe arthritis in my spine as well.

I recently had cancer, which required mild surgery and chemotherapy, I'm recovered from that now as December was the end of the chemo, but have new issues with my spine this last year as well... to what extent the new spinal issues are affecting me has been confused by the cancer as of late.. but now we have a more clear understanding (I think).

My spine, or discs, are slipping forward (rather as a whole) just above where they did the original surgeries.. that slipping is pinching nerves, causing extra pain..

So in general, my pain levels can skyrocket out of control when I have a more active day like yesterday where I spent a lot of time at the doctors and then tried for grocery shopping after.

It's just worse today for some reason.. I'm having serious issues, may go to ER.. i'll probably page the doctor after my husband gets up and find out what he wants to do...

I have 5 Silverplays. To me, it’s about perfect. Eightvape still has them for $10. I thought they would be long gone at that price!!

I'm so sorry to hear that. I can sympathize on a small level.
Please do go and get checked. The last thing you need is less mobility.
A fellow vaper here in the UK is in a similar position after surgery going wrong. I make his coils for him but sometimes even those are impossible.
Keep us posted.

Levelized billing is a good thing. In the deep South A/C kills us on power bills in the Summer. At least you get an averaged bill each month that's the same no matter what the weather does.
Our company here wants to do that too. I use more electicity in the winter because of electric flooring. I used the AC exactly 5 times this summer, only once running it for 3 days straight. But it's a small wall unit for just our bedroom.

We have that option but I find having spare cash about 2/3 of the year handier in the long run.
How much is ridiculous dear?
We paid U$S 17,5 for 680Kw in the month, and (whatever the dollar value will be) for 1100 Kw in the winter. Mind you, we are loaded, but in summer we don't have the electric floors going. I wonder about the cold floors in summer. Could that work to lower bills?
Radiant Cooling
We hang to dry clothes except for very rainy/humid weather. Part of the expense in winter is also the use of the dryer.

Do you have a commercial coil atty? Or something else to vape on? Leave it be and try again tomorrow.

I'm so sorry, dear. Take care of yourself and yes, do see a doctor. I hope you feel better soon.

I never got one. My reasons? 2 ml capacity and too much like a Hurricane I didn't much care for in the past. And just looked fiddly to me. I may be wrong. I often am. ;)

Normally I avoid 2ml, just too small. But it’s not a thirsty tank at all, and a freaking breeze to build. Af is great as is flavor. I bought 5 eventually, cause I was afraid they would sell out at such a cheap price. I think people ignored it because the wicking “cage” is sort of dated, but it works well. Also doesn’t seem to need to be rebuilt as often as my other tanks
